“I’ve eaten in this location previously. The current experience is a huge improvement over the prior experiences. The food is nothing short of excellent - all of it. I don’t remember the last time I went to a restaurant anywhere and liked every single thing we ordered at the table. Great quality, nice proportions and solid presentation. Easily the best restaurant on Vashon right now. Highly recommend.“

“We Love Ruby Brink! Burger night—say no more…! The beef dip sandwich on the lunch menu is another favorite. We love eating here for so many reasons though. This isn’t a “high staff turnover” type restaurant where you’ll be greeted by stressed out workers plastered with fake smiles fighting over tables like you might be used you. This is a grown-up establishment with grown-up food and grown-up and experienced, competent and empowered staff and I appreciate how this dynamic expressed itself in terms of guest experience. When I say that the food is grown-up I mean that it is carefully selected and prepared from scratch and this means it does not taste like what other restaurants are doing, which often is buying bags of frozen soup and sauces from the chef supply store to keep costs down and to keep everything tasting exactly the same, every time. You will taste different things here and that might surprise you. Ready yourself for that and enjoy!“

My server, Lillian, was very nice and the fish & chips were probably some of the best I've ever had (super crunchy and the slaw is yummy!). “My daughter and her wife treated me to lunch here on Galentines Day. I highly recommend! The menu is a great mix of Mexican food, American food (I had a Denver omelette which was excellent), sandwiches and burgers and a great selection of sides. I highly recommend the baked brussels sprouts with bacon and a tasty glaze which we all shared. They serve beer and wine and a wide variety of non-alcoholic beverages. Compliments to the chef! Wendy our server was super sweet and attentive. It's a small, clean place with a chill vibe. Give it a try....you won't be disappointed!“

“We frequently dine at Jak’s because it is consistently perfect. The food, staff and the atmosphere make the dining experience memorable. We had the pleasure of having Connor as our waiter. He is perfect. Professional and kind. Oh yes, extremely handsome too! Only one time did we experience an “off” night and Connor was our waiter. He turned it into a 5 star rating with his genuine kindness and professionalism. Also, I don’t recall the name of the nice man that helped Connor bring our food to the table. He was great as well. Because we are regulars at Jak’s, we have gotten to know and love the other team members there. Gaylynn, Tracy, Ani all stopped by our booth to say hello. Our friend that we brought had never been to Jak’s. He was so impressed with the warmth and friendliness of everyone. The food is totally 5 stars. I always order the pork chop. It is tender, cooked medium well and very flavorful. We were thrilled to see that the Wild Boar Short Rib Paperadelle Pasta dish is back on the menu!“

“This is one of the best places I have eaten period. I have never had 5 star cooking from a fancy chef like Bobby Flay or iron Chef Cat Cora. But I feel like if I did this should be the level of cooking I should get. The buttermilk biscuit and creole chicken with that honey and cream sauce was absolutely AMAZING.. “I've come to this place since I was 11 years old, the food is the same the place is the same. If you are looking for good food good price with little to no fuss this is the place for you. I especially liked that I went in and ordered my food separate. The guy taking my order changed my option to the meal making the whole thing $8.00 less. He did not have to do that, I would have paid for the food separately but he went out of his way to make it more affordable for me.

If the sun is out and/or it's the weekend, it's probably going to be busy, otherwise food comes out fairly quick. If I don't stop for a bite, I'll usually grab a cone and a coke.“

“Went there tonight and it was packed since it was football playoffs. We had outstanding service, Everytime a glass got close to empty someone came to ask if we wanted a refill. The food was outstanding as well. I ordered a custom made sandwich and even though they were crazy busy it came out hot and exactly as I ordered. Love this experience. Will be back!“

The food was fantastic — that biscuit alone is worth a stop. We also grabbed a mug and a bobblehead, which were really fun little keepsakes. The whole vibe was relaxed and friendly, and it felt like a spot locals would love. If you’re traveling through the area, it’s an easy, satisfying stop for breakfast, coffee, or just a quick treat.
