“What an awesome spot for dinner. You can be as casual as shorts, flip flops, and a t-shirt or dress up in fancy attire. Either way you’ll have an incredible meal and fit right in! The pea vines, scapes, and chicken wings were such wonderful surprises for happy hour! 10/10 recommend Ramble at any time. The servers were funny, timely, and overall gems. “We Love Ruby Brink! Burger night—say no more…! The beef dip sandwich on the lunch menu is another favorite. We love eating here for so many reasons though. This isn’t a “high staff turnover” type restaurant where you’ll be greeted by stressed out workers plastered with fake smiles fighting over tables like you might be used you. This is a grown-up establishment with grown-up food and grown-up and experienced, competent and empowered staff and I appreciate how this dynamic expressed itself in terms of guest experience. When I say that the food is grown-up I mean that it is carefully selected and prepared from scratch and this means it does not taste like what other restaurants are doing, which often is buying bags of frozen soup and sauces from the chef supply store to keep costs down and to keep everything tasting exactly the same, every time. You will taste different things here and that might surprise you. Ready yourself for that and enjoy!“

“Last night (a Saturday evening) was our first dinner at the Hardware Store Restaurant on Vashon Island, and it absolutely exceeded every expectation!

We ordered the steak tartare special and the farmers market lasagne, and both were incredible. Every bite was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. You can really tell they put thought and care into both their seasonal specials and their ingredients.

What truly made the evening unforgettable, though, was our server, Christopher. Without question, he provided the best service I’ve experienced in all my years living in the Pacific Northwest. He was warm, genuinely welcoming, attentive without ever being intrusive, and made us feel like valued guests from the moment we sat down until we left. Hospitality like his is rare, and it made an already wonderful meal even more memorable.

We’ll happily be making the ferry ride back just to enjoy another fantastic dinner—and, hopefully, another evening with Christopher taking care of us. I’m already looking forward to bringing my mom so she can experience this wonderful restaurant for herself. Thank you for such a memorable evening!“

Looks like most of all the bad reviews are more about his stand on his political stand then the food which is so unfair to leave a review on that's instead of the food. Thanks for the great food. “My daughter and her wife treated me to lunch here on Galentines Day. I highly recommend! The menu is a great mix of Mexican food, American food (I had a Denver omelette which was excellent), sandwiches and burgers and a great selection of sides. I highly recommend the baked brussels sprouts with bacon and a tasty glaze which we all shared. They serve beer and wine and a wide variety of non-alcoholic beverages. Compliments to the chef! “I've come to this place since I was 11 years old, the food is the same the place is the same. If you are looking for good food good price with little to no fuss this is the place for you. I especially liked that I went in and ordered my food separate. The guy taking my order changed my option to the meal making the whole thing $8.00 less. He did not have to do that, I would have paid for the food separately but he went out of his way to make it more affordable for me.

It's a fun place, and is kid friendly. It's somewhat 'group seating', as there are a number of long tables with chairs. It's not the easiest place to find (go through the Inn's parking lot)

There are lots of pinball and video games, and they take quarters, so you won't leave with a bunch of tokens in your pocket.
The pizza isn't bad, but I wouldn't go there just for it. We stayed for some of the trivia, which was fun and got everyone there talking to each other, as you swap answer sheets to do the scoring.

“I got a burger, some fried, and a couple of Rainiers. I appreciated that even though it was a bar, and a sports bar at that, that the music wasn't too loud. The food was delicious though the burger was a tad smaller than id like, but it was juicy and cooked perfectly. My only real gripe is that I was meeting a large group and found that they only had one space setup to accommodate such a number, which was their square corner nook by the front door.“
