Prefer more intimate table for 25th wedding anniversary.Parking: Street or paid that is free evenings and weekend. Behind the building, easy walk with stairs. Pay station broken so free!!Kid-friendliness: Adult atmosphere but a well behaved teen no problem! Maybe not small children.
It was a belated birthday celebration that took myself, my sister, and our cousin to Jak's. We were mildly disappointed by the brunch menu as our appetites were anticipating steak and baked potatoes with all the trimmings. Never fear, our server outlined options where we could have a meal very close to the one in our dreams. The steak and eggs could become steak and something else. Visited Jak’s on California Ave / West Seattle last Friday. The most tender calamari appetizer I’ve ever eaten. Truly. Had the NY Steak, Brussels sprouts, loaded baked potato, and a couple martini’s to wash it down. Excellent meal, nicely priced compared to most noteworthy steakhouses. Live this place. Can’t wait to go back.
