“I really like the pizza here. The crust is not too thick or to thin and the toppings are good.
Reminds me of a hometown pizza place called Campanas over on the Peninsula my folks used to take us too as kids. Toppings were just enough of everything and good flavor. The house red wine is really smooth, restaurant itself is a old Burien school Italian vibe. I will be getting pizza from here again. One of of my top 3. Prices are pretty decent as well.“

We had an absolutely fantastic meal here, with every dish delivering on flavor. We started with the house focaccia, prosciutto, and burrata, followed by the Neah Bay king salmon, mafaldine, and tagliatelle. Everything was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. And save room for dessert—the tiramisu and cheesecake were both divine!

The service was excellent, and the setting is just as lovely. Housed in a converted home near Alki, Il Nido has a warm, intimate atmosphere that makes it perfect for a special occasion or a memorable dinner out.

Make sure to book a reservation, as walk-in availability may be limited. It’s not an everyday casual meal, but the quality of the food and the overall experience make it absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!“

You just ate the freshest pasta with height of the season specialized ingredients. You know, like they do in Italy, and it's worth every penny. I can't say enough good things about how amazing it was and you get to watch the very cool, friendly crew make everything in the open kitchen. “the vibe inside is really homey. the price point is great. I was able to comfortably order a few things to try. I also think the portions were good. the duck ragu was very good. I enjoyed that plate very much. the sauce pairs with the duck very well. it's fork licking good. the carbonara I didn't care for, I didn't finish it. it didn't taste quite balanced. also my pasta was under cooked. I checked to see if maybe I was given buccatini on accident but no, it was just underdone spaghetti. overall, I'll try it again. my experience I think was good for a first visit“

“This place is a Godsend! After flying all night, I was crazy hangry. The line at Starbucks was like 20 minutes long. For what? An overrated & overpriced over roasted coffee. At Pollino’s I got a delicious pizza & fresh coffee & in about 10 minutes. While waiting for my pizza I went & picked up today’s newspaper. A delicious fresh pizza, a good cup of coffee and the NY Times in about 10 minutes!!!“

“Fantastic sandwiches — but be prepared to hunt for parking. We ordered the Grindhouse, a Mortadella, classic Salami, stacked with Dijon mustard, mayo, shredded iceberg, house made dill pickles, provolone, and a bright red wine vinaigrette, all on a perfectly chewy demi baguette. Every bite was balanced and delicious in a cute space. Downside for older guests is the unmanned Kiosk to order. No opportunity to ask about the sandwiches and then after ordering yourself the kiosk asks for a tip! And parking, however, was nearly impossible. We ended up in a garage that cost more than the sandwich itself. Still, the food was excellent — just go when you have patience (or a chauffeur).“

Think twice before giving your money to such a terrible person. Read many other reviews that talk about how the staff here is treated. The food is mediocre at best, but even of it was better, service matters. I'd encourage the owners to think about how they treat people and how they would like to be treated as a customer when the business was at fault. Disgusting. There were mushrooms sent to a kid with an allergy when it was clearly noted on the order to leave them off, there was a hair in the pizza. I would encourage the owner to take a class in customer service and learn to do what is right instead of being rude and snarky.“

“I’d describe Bar Sosta as the cooler younger cousin of Il Terrazzo. It's located next door and serves many purposes in Pioneer Square.

The space itself is absolutely gorgeous - more Lower East Side Manhattan vibes than your typical grungy Seattle dive bar. The aesthetic is polished but approachable, and it's a great meeting point before heading out into the neighborhood. Fun fact: you can spot design nods to Sosta in the new Carmine's on 5th Ave downtown.

They also do private events with amazing catering from the restaurant, perfect for anyone looking to book out a stunning space in Seattle's first neighborhood.

“What a wonderful place! We came late at night, from out of town, after our plane landed with hungry bellies. First, we were greeted by the owners daughter. In our initial conversation, we told her that we still needed to find a grocery store (it was 10pm). She began to tell me how to get to one and said, go there first bc it closes at 11p, then come back. So we did!
When we returned, we had the most pleasant experience with the owner, Rami. He told us that he works FT for the airlines and bought this place for his four daughters. It's family run and he hires his airline employees; the cook/chef is his best friend. The dough, pasta, marinara, Alfredo, everything is homemade.

There is a large menu with a variety of Greek and Italian items. There are booths inside and tables outside. There are restrooms for customers. They have dine in and take away and you can order through door dash.

If I was a local, Id be eating here all the time. Not only was the food fresh and good, but Rami made us feel welcome and took the time to talk with us.“
