“The best burgers Burien hands down! The fresh veggies on the burgers are very fresh. The patties are very welled seasoned, not one bland bite. The beer battered fries were crispy and soft at the same time. Five star customer service from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out, and a very clean establishment. Been here twice already I'll definitely be back for a third plus more! See ya next time Red Wagon!“
“I come here regularly. Usually awesome. Best fish in the south end. However, my last visit wasn't so good. The halibut taco in the Pirates Trio, was sandy textured. Not edible. I still love the food here, but I'll never get the halibut again.“
“I had the True Cod and Chips and a Caesar Salad. I grew up going to Ivars and love that they use cod instead of lingcod that other places serve. The fish was good, but if you haven't been in awhile, expect shrink-fishsation for the size of the fillets. The Caesar dressing is so good, and in my opinion no one makes better tarter sauce than Ivar's!“
“The waitresses were excellent the food was excellent The drinks we had were good and I would have rated the place love it except for They put us in the back corner next to the bar where everybody and their brother were walking back-and-forth wasn't pleasant I would go againParking: The earlier you get there the easier it is to find a parking spot“
“Oh my gosh! I needed to pick up a bookshelf at IKEA, so searched for a nearby lunch spot and found Salty Blue. I’ve lived in the Seattle area for 60+ years, and I’ve eaten a lot of fish & chips. If this isn’t the best fish & chips in Seattle, then it’s a really, really, really close second. Three things to note: 1) They don’t serve Cod, which is the standard fish & chips fish around here. Instead, their “house fish” is New Zealand Hoki. They also serve Barramundi (Australian Sea Bass) and Halibut. The young man behind the counter took the time to clearly explain the differences between the types of fish they offered and how they compared to Cod. Made our choices much easier! We ordered both the Hoki and Halibut to compare. The Hoki was very tasty! 2) They have a small selection of beer and cider on tap. The IPA d’jour during our visit was a Single Hill hazy pale. Not my favorite, but any establishment (especially one this small) that puts Single Hill beer on tap gets props from me. 3) Salty Blue is a tip-free establishment. Lunch for two was $60 (including a soda and the beer), which is a bit pricey, but when you think about what you would normally expect to pay for quality fish & chips and then add a tip, it works out to about the same. Just be aware and don’t let the price shock you. I thought the overall value was above average.Parking: Small parking lot but plenty of on-street parking nearby.“
“Don’t underestimate the food in what you think may be a tourist trap type of spot. The food is really good. I highly recommend the crab cakes and the crab chowder. The blackened salmon fish tacos were really good too. They have rotating ciders. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a table by the window. If you’re really lucky the sun will be out for you. Access from 1st Ave. On a Tuesday afternoon they seemed kind of short staffed but still took great care of us. Cheers!“
“True American Irish pub! Great food and service! I had the Shepard's Pie and loved it! I was worried it was too much food and it was, prior to a Mariners baseball game. But I had to eat it all as it was so good! So good portions of food and very tasty. The Coke was good as well, better than at the ballpark.“
“I was in Seattle for the night and randomly found this spot after a Google search of "food near me". I checked out the website and decided to give them a try and I'm so glad I did. The food was slap ya mama good!! I tried the catfish, shrimp, fries, hush puppies, red beans and rice and some buffalo wings and literally every single thing was fire! even the tarter sauce, I almost licked the damn cup lol. I've tried catfish from alot of different spots in Washington and in Portland but this is hands down the best I've had in the PNW. As a native New Yorker it's hard to find food that reminds me of home but this spot did it for me, it's a 10/10“
“Some work friends and I went out to dinner and found this great place. The food was fantastic! The service was amazing! I'll be adding this to my list of places to come back to. I had the Rock fish tacos (10/10), clam chowder (10/10), and crab dip appetizer (10/10). Ooh la la!“
“From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The dishes were flavorful, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend for date night or even family night out. This restaurant truly offers something special for everyone!“
“Great food, great service one of thebbest burgers in Seattle by far. I hope they survive. I appreciate all the years of great american food and service. Always make you feel welcome amd appreciated hard to find that type of csre amd service these days !“
“You could tell there's a lot of love for the two dudes that run this place. In turn they put that love in the food because its always consistently good, especially the clam chowder (chock-full of clams btw). I tried the prawns last night and they were excellent too.Tip: If you're around during the fall/winter months try to make a trip to Sunfish as Alki is pretty vacant during that time.“
“I went here based on the reviews of the food and the vibe of the owner/staff and those reviews did not disappoint. The food was incredible, I tried a bit of the Shrimp PO'Boy, Cod Fish and Chips, and the Crab Cakes. I highly recommend the crab cakes. The staff was equally incredible, just seemed like they were super nice people with a community that really enjoyed their food and sharing that with them.“
“First timer here and probably won't be last. It was easy to order as you just walk up to the counter and place your order there. Had the special and prawns and chips! Prawns were amazing! Love the crispiness on both fish and prawns. This place was packed when we came in and people just kept coming in! They also have upstairs sitting if downstairs is full. You can also have it to go and eat it by the beach (saw many people did this). Great service too! Ordered the food with sprite and somehow the sprite did not taste like sprite. They almost immediately fix the issue and replaced the drink. Great food, great service, more affordable than other places!“
“This is a nice little place in west seattle. Walking in you'll always smell fish. They sell it raw as well! We finally went for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Delicious. The clam chowder is a bit peppery but very hearty! We had the pick 3 seafood basket as well as the cod fish and chips. Piping hot. Loved it all.“
“Got a fish for a dinner party. My go to place. Nothing fancy, no fish flinging, straightforward great fish, filleted properly. Let the fishmongers take the head and collar for their next day cioppino. You're welcome. Saw the line and it reminded me of the great lunches I had here in the past.“
“We stopped by while running errands for a bite of lunch. Our fish came out fast and hot just like we love it! It was a little busy as it was during the height of the lunch rush but our order came out amazingly fast.Dietary restrictions: My wife had the baked salmon as she is restricted from fried food. She said her salmon was cooked perfectly and her salad was delicious.Parking: Easy in and out for the Kent location with plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: They have coloring for the kids so those busy little hands.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking by the door.“
“We really enjoyed the efficiency of this restaurant; you order at a counter first and then take a tracker to your table & they bring your drinks / food to you. When you are done you just leave as you already paid! We ordered the cod and chips, and the fish tacos. The cod and chips was AMAZING - highly recommend! The fish tacos were good but they just felt like they were missing something. Service was good and food came quickly.“
“My daughter and I ate here Friday evening. It was such a great surprise. Such a cute, awesome local restaurant and the food was in amazing amazing. Amazing you won’t regret it and I have an outdoor part too!!Vegetarian options: I am a pescatarian and I was able to eat here avoiding the egg and mayonnaise and stuff like that, so yeah the ? is amazing“
“The perfect late night spot. Ordered here after a late basketball game In the area and it was right on time. Tastes like my momma home cooking. And I love me some fried fish so this is everything to me and I enjoy that they bring the food to you. Great service.“
“Love having fish and chips on Lake Washington just wish you got more fish for your money. The old Asian guy who works here is a joke and enjoys being a jerk to customers. I'm sorry that you're 100 years old and don't like working in a fast food joint maybe it's time to move on to something else like a Walmart door “
“Food was generally spot on. Had a fried seafood mix: the cod and clam fritters seemed perfectly crunchy and fresh, the shrimp plump with a thin breading, the French fries were boiled before frying making their insides nice and soft, but the halibut seemed to be possibly not as fresh. The clam chowder was well balanced with larger chunks of clam. The dungeness crab bisque was tomatoey and good. The boiled clams were fresh and not sandy. The service was cordial and informative. The atmosphere was warm and our table had an amazing view of downtown Seattle!“
“The food was really fresh and came fast. The server was attentive and friendly. The drinks including the local drafts were all good. We just arrived in Seattle and randomly walked into here because of the waterfront view but ended up grabbing delicious seafood and great drinks.“
“Good little spot for some fish and chips on a layover. I’d recommend the chowder fries if you don’t mind the calories! I ordered the 2 piece fish and chips and I was just a bit disappointed with the size of the fish cuts for the price I paid for them. Tasty, but not filling for 15 “
“I can’t fault the establishment too much on this as I didn’t fully read the menu description, but to everyone on here calling it a ‘French Dip’, you are mistaken. Was seriously craving one today and after reading the reviews and seeing the pictures, I thought I found the one. Was disappointed to receive a small hamburger bun with something closer to pastrami on it, the horseradish mayo was far too overpowering, and why the caraway seeds? The ‘au jus’ was beef bouillon with vinegar in it. It was tough getting this one down. Not like the pictures posted here. The fries were fantastic though, and I’m sure had I gotten anything else in the menu it probably would have been great.“
