His burger was handmade, and mine looked like a pre-made patty, but both were very tasty, moist, cooked well, delicious! The milkshake was so chocolaty, so awesome! “Ivar's is an iconic NW seafood restaurant and they did not disappoint. The restaurant was clean and the servers were courteous and efficient. My girlfriend and I each ordered fish and chips with a cup of chowder. We both thought everything was outstanding. Our only complaint was that the pieces of fish were smaller than we expected. I recommend travelers stop here over any of the other fast food options.“
“There are a number of good choices for fish and other seafood on the Tacoma waterfront, and Duke's may be the best, if you are looking for good water views, an informal atmosphere and friendly, well-informed service. It's a bit pricey, but no more than its competition, and the quality of the food is consistently high. And there is a range of prices. The cod is first-rate -- it doesn't have to be salmon or halibut. Note that there are very limited options for vegetarians and vegans. Also note that these folks do a very nice business, even on Mondays. The good news is that, unlike some of their competition, they take reservations for small parties. Reservations are strongly recommended.“
