“Highly recommend!Owner is one of the nicest businessmen we’ve ever met. When not too busy, he makes sure all the little details are cared for. Customer service is 10/10, and the fish are one of the BEST around?no frills, just good fish, good fries, and good sauce.“
“Very short staffed due to a family emergency. We waited one hour for our first cocktail. I felt sorry for them. The food was very good but it took so long for everything. The waitress kept apologizing but once she told us there was a family emergency then we knew what was causing all of the delays. My only complaint about the food is at the menu said the item came with rice, but instead it came with a large amount of pasta, and I am gluten intolerant, and they don't serve gluten-free pasta. Otherwise, I would not have ordered it. The salmon was excellent.“
“My wife and I enjoyed a delightful evening at El Gaucho Tacoma as we celebrated our 39th anniversary. Shelly provided impeccable service and the food was marvelous! We particularly liked the special recognition on the personalized menu and card on the table. Thank you for making our visit a wonderful experience.“
“LITERALLY ME AND MY FIANCÉS NEW FAVORITE PLACE! Justin is our favorite ! He’s the bar manager and he explained the menu, paid attention to our wants and completely came thru . will definitely recommend this place to everyone that i know . if you’re looking for great food, and exceptional service, this is the place !!!!!“
“It's one of the best pork chops around, especially when you add a side of creamy polenta. I have been here several time is the last few months on different occasions and they haven't disappointed. Several items on the menu that will leave you wanting more. A must try ?“
“Great food... The catfish is well seasoned and you can tell the grease they use is clean. My son who is a dang critic of chicken strips was bragging to his gaming buddies about how good they were. We got home and saw they put a piece of BBQ chicken in the bag, which was so good. It was definitely a nice surprise, thank you. We will be back for sure... Thank you for the good food and amazing service.“
“Celebrating Lunar New Year and Mardi Gras at the same time with a Cajun seafood boil. $55 for a 2-person meal seems like a great deal for us. The house garlic butter sauce is amazing. Crawfish, snowcrab, clams, & prawns. Ref potatoes, corn & sausage too. Yummo!!“
“This place has gotten better over the years. I remember the old yellow building, but it's completely remodeled.Their Philly is so good, they have a lunch special for 10 bucks....small Philly, fries, and a soda. Highly recommend going and trying it, they also got catfish if you like it.“
“Very nice place. The food is delicious, good portions, and affordable prices. Good place for a date. It doesn't look the most attractive from the outside but the interior design is beautiful.Parking: The parking is behind the building but there's plenty of spots.“
“If you go with a group and plan on splitting the check, make sure you have cash or Venmo. This isn't cart Dim Sum. They have a QR code on the table that you will use your phone to order from. As a table, you can all select your dishes and order. Once you are ready, you submit your order. They only accept one credit card for a tab.The dishes were excellent and rival the Dim Sum spots in Renton, Bellevue, and the International District. We left stuffed and happy.Parking: Small parking lot on site.“
“The food was cooked to perfection and served in a reasonable time frame. The server answered our questions and informed us of our optionsKid-friendliness: The server helped make sure our little one was taken care of and brought us the proper menu“
“1st time experience at CKCB, and it was on point. Looks small from the outside but comfortable inside. The staff are awesome. Shout out to our host, Yung, who made our dining experience even more enjoyable. I also want to acknowledge the Chef's and their food preparation. Our seafood boils & fried dishes were nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our meals were brought out 15 to 20mins after ordering. Not bad since it was starting to get busy. Our orders were served warm, and the catfish, hush puppies, fries & shrimp were well prepared. The shrimp practically melted in my mouth. Our Shrimp Boil & beginners Seafood Boil was also a highlight. In closing, CKCB holds its own against all the other "Creole, Cajun, Crawfish Boil" restaurants. Very clean, well run, excellent Staff & Chef's, so I'll definitely be back!??? G *p.s. my personal experience.Parking: ?Kid-friendliness: ?Wheelchair accessibility: ?“
“Nice down to Earth feel on the water. Casual with a touch of class. I personally like this place and half for over 45 years. Our server Craig was a disappointment. Luckily the atmosphere was not. We only saw him three times never checked up on us and we were there for two hours.“
“Our family loves Ivars Seafood Bar. The Fish and Chips are made up fresh once we order. The staff is so kind to serve us at our table after we order at the counter. We love their Clam Chowder as well. The restaurant was clean and service was quick and friendly.“
“We went here today for lunch for 4 at 11:30. We had a great time. The Hostess and Manager met us at the door to open up. Very friendly and welcoming. We were served by a handsome, dark haired guy, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us great service!?(wish we could remember his name) 3 of us had the Salmon ? entree with rice and asparagus.? Excellent Chef!! David had the pasta seafood dish.?.“
“Will definitely make another reservation just for the warm atmosphere and view. There’s a large selection of wine. Appetizer and starters were delicious! Let me tell you the way my steak was cooked to perfection, I was full but didn’t want to put the fork down. I know I said i was full but I absolutely had to order dessert. Service was on point.Parking: parking available in front of the building, park nearby closes 30 minutes after sun down so there’s even more parking for dinner.Wheelchair accessibility: wheel chair access ramp right by the blue parking in front of the building.“
“We just got here from the east coast and we're looking for somewhere on the water with a good menu. Both of those things are true. We mentioned as we were sat that it was our first time on the west coast and everyone was super nice to us. The manager was kind and our server spent extra time with us telling us what there was to do in the area. Great food, great location, great service! ?“
“The sweet potato fries here are absolutely to die for! And I haven't ever had a bad experienceWheelchair accessibility: There is a elevator to get up the stairs, but I'm also pretty sure there is a step in front of the main entrance so it might be hard to get up so it might be hard to get up“
“This place deserves a shout out! This place is take-out only during the time of this review, but the food is excellent, great quality and value, I highly recommend coming here! They have gluten free menu items, i've never been sick here (from gluten), excellent food and service, this place deserves to be recognized and I highly recommend this place!“
“The perfect type of seafood restaurant to compliment the city . As a Louisianan , to discover this hidden gem was nothing less than amazing . The food is super fresh , delicious, and satisfies that craving of savory spice without breaking your wallet . 10 out of 10 . If your a seafood lover Craving Crawfish got you covered .“
“Oh.My.God.What an amazing surprise this place was. I googled “seafood restaurants” from my hotel in Tacoma and it brought me to a beautiful little place on the water called Dukes seafood Tacoma. They started off with some of the best sourdough bread I’ve ever had. Follow that up with “award winning” clam chowder and I was already starting to get full. Then, the waitress brought out my crab stuffed Alaskan halibut fillet. It was beautiful and delicious. Finally, entirely full, my server asked me if I had any room for dessert. When she told me what they had, I absolutely was unable to resist the Marion berry pie à la mode. What I did not know was that it is not a “piece” of pie. It’s about half of a pie topped with two giant scoops of ice cream. It was also absolutely decadent. My only regret was that I could not get through all of it due to being stuffed to the gills from all the other fantastic food.If you were in the Tacoma area, or, as I came to learn after speaking with the staff there, anyone of other seven locations in the Seattle area, be sure to check them out.Vegetarian options: They have vegetables and salad.Dietary restrictions: They can make many of their dishes to accommodate any dietary needsParking: There is a huge parking lot that was absolutely packed, so I did not have high hopes for having a table. Don’t let it fool you. The place is a lot bigger than it looks.Kid-friendliness: Many of the couples in the restaurant this evening, had children with them.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp that bypasses the stairs up to the front door.“
