The owner came around and chatted with us, too; they import ingredients from abroad and it definitely tastes like it, especially for the baba ganush. Also, their juices are lovely and fresh, and the chai tea is also well spiced.“

You cannot go wrong! The place can fill up during peak mealtime hours if you’re hoping to dine in at a table with chairs but they do have window stools too.

I always get the gyro plate and it hits every single time. The owner-chefs also sometimes gift us freebie food every now and then which is above and beyond.“

“What can I say other than the fact that the food here totally slaps! Everything is juicy and flavorful. The grilled veggies have a sweet char to them. Both rice options are tasty. The portions are generous and most things come with a side salad that’s dressed with feta and a very savory dressing. Plus, the employees are very sweet and kind. “I'm mad my friend didn't show me this spot earlier!!! For starters, we had the mezze platter. It came with dolmas (so good!! Perfect marriage of rice and spices!), tzatziki (so fresh! The mint...yum!!), baba ganoush (with a smokey hint), hummus (so fresh!!), tabouli (best ive had in a long time! It was not overwhelming with parsley... super enjoyable. So good we got orders to go!), and the piyaz (a chilled white bean salad with ginger root, onion, tomato, EVOO, and garlic...so good we got orders to go!). Entrees we had the mesopotamian lamb and beef (the stew was so comforting..like a hug. The lamb was so tender!), and the lamb chops (love the rosemary and garlic!) For dessert...freshhhhh baklava, freshest ive had. It had just been made. It was so perfect! It's not so heavy compared to the normal baklava with honey that Im used too. Looks like I have a new favorite Mediterranean spot to go to!!! The staff was great. The food was amazing.“

“this place has the best fries ive ever had in my entire life whether that be home made or from a fancy restaurant, minna does it better. incredible food, incredible service, and CELIACS listen up!! I am celiac and have never once had an issue here with cross contamination, even when i dont say explicitly that i have an allergy. i always get the greek fries or gyro fries, + the complimentary falafel is always a delight. thank you minna for existing!!!“

“I've been visiting here for about 8 years and have never been disappointed. The food is always so fresh and taste absolutely delicious.the service from Layla alone is outstanding. She is always personable, kind and inviting. I always get there a few minutes before the rush so we can chat. The food comes out quick, hot and perfect every single time! My go to is the gyro plate. If I'm extra hungry I'll add some baklava which taste like it was transported directly from an oven in Greece!“

Decided to get an order of hummus and some baklava as well to see if I needed to come back at a later time and try more items....I'm so glad I did because I'm blown away by how good this hummus/pita/baklava is. It's so good that I haven't even pulled the tzatziki out of the fridge to eat with this stuff. And I have way too much tzatziki! And it's GOOD tzatziki too! I just don't need it because that's how great the hummus from Gyro Shawrma is.“

“What a lovely restaurant! I ordered food online and picked up in person. As I entered the restaurant, there was loud upbeat music playing and I could see all workers work at a crisp pace in the open kitchen. The staff greeted me quickly and wrapped my food promptly and carefully (thank you!). I ordered a chicken rice plate and french fries, both of which had super generous portions. The chicken rice was especially delicious, with lots of herbs, and looked very appetizing. I will be sure to come back and try other things on the menu.“

“Surprising unexpected delight by the side of a busy road with not a lot of foot traffic between Swedish Hospital and Virginia Mason! I think more could be done with the decor, and it was understaffed, but the food was AMAZING! I can see why it is so highly rated - the meat is perfectly bribed or seasoned or whatever magic they do to make it tender and infused with flavor throughout. We had the Gyro plate and the Beef Shwarma plate along with the Baba Ganoush - each was excellent in their own way, and the garlic dressing in the accompanying salads is to kill for. “The food is delicious . Everything is made with pride . It’s all fresh and made in house . Since it’s fresh and made to order , you will have to wait . It is worth it . I highly recommend the Greek french fries , amazing. Also I would not skip the chai tea or baklava, both so good. Friendly family business that appreciates its customers. The only thing I did not like was not their fault . Customers constantly talking loudly on cell phone , incredibly annoying ringers going off from multiple phones, some very loud voices . It’s a tiny place with close tables so hear everything. It has lovely lighting from beautiful lamps and is nicely decorated. I just wish some of the customers more considerate .“

“This place is absolutely wonderful! The staff are always so welcoming and personable and truly make an exemplary gyro. My favorite dish is definitely the classic gyro as well as the dinner platter, i’m also a big salad girl and they make excellent salads! Truly something for everybody here and they will always serve you with a smile on their face! Open late is a plus, and i’ve definitely got more than a few late night snacks from here!“

“This is our go to place for Greek food. We eat here a few times a year and are always satisfied with our meal and service. Order at the counter and then find a seat. Plenty of seating, portions are great (usually have leftovers). Does a lot of take out business.“

“I come here maybe four or five times a year. Some places, even the best places, they'll let you down every once in a while. Sahara Cafe has never done that. If I have one gripe, it's the parking, but the location doesn't lend itself to resolving that and, besides, that's got nothing to do with the proprietors or the food and service they provide. If you've never had Somali food and you're interested, but not sure where to start, give this place a try. A good try. Go out of your way to come here. It's that good.“

“This tucked away gem was a great experience. We were seated in a romantic booth that felt nice and cozy. Our waiter was really nice and the drinks were yummy. The Brussels sprouts were absolutely amazing, some sort of glaze I wanted to lick the plate.
The steak dinner was cooked well and well seasoned, I didn’t care much for the side of fennel however the potatoes was amazing. For dessert the butterscotch crème brûlée was phenomenal, maybe the best I’ve ever had.
The photos came out dark because the lighting is very romantic and dark.
I’m heading back today for more cream brûlée 😅“

“This place was honestly amazing. I ordered from Jafra four days in a row during Ramadan. Fun fact: Jafra is actually the name of a city in Syria. Everything I tried was so good, from the gyro to the shawarma plate. After seeing me order so many times, they even gave me a free donut. Great food and really kind people. Definitely recommend.They tie bags well and food remains so warm.“

It’s in the name, Garlic Crush, so if you are a garlic lover like me, make sure you order something that includes the garlic paste/dip/puree. I, unfortunately, did not, but luckily my dining partner had some that I was able to try! The lentil soup that is available by request with the plates is a must. So flavorful and warming. It really piques the appetite and readies the stomach for a hearty meal. Quick service, low key spot. Would recommend, especially to garlic lovers.“

We started with the soft-ripened Murciana goat cheese and house made preserves, the star of the night was their roasted beets and citrus salad, the Andaluca paella simply delicious and the flavors of the preserved lemon chicken transported us to the Mediterranean!
