“Cheerful, prompt service, great food, and a nice view of the Sound from the outdoor seating area, which is kept pleasantly warm in the cold months. The train is RIGHT THERE at times, a little noisy for a few minutes at a time, but no big deal if you're patient. There's a wide variety on the menu, something for all tastes. And the bartender made an exemplary Martini, to boot. Demitri's will be in our regular rotation for a meal out.“

I chose a faster made food, the Chicken Kabob (recommended by the owner) and there was nothing that made it feel rushed or made cheap even though the price was amazing for the amount of food that came about 10 mins after ordering. “One of the best halal spots in the area. We came across this place while shopping and decided to stop by, so glad we did. The gyro lamb and beef shawarma were delicious and full of flavor. The chicken shawarma was very well cooked, juicy, and the kids absolutely loved it. The chicken shawarma plate was amazing, especially the sauce, it really stood out. I didn’t even think I was that hungry but once I had a bite I could not stop it was that good! I am 100% coming back here, what a pleasant experience. “Hummus Cafe is one of those places that just makes you happy.

The food is authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. The Om Ali is perfect, the Mehalabya (rice pudding) is amazing, and the falafel and eggplant sandwich is honestly to die for.

What really stands out, though, is that the food feels like it was made with love. You can taste the love in every bite, and that's something you don't find very often. It's the kind of meal that puts a smile on your face and makes you want to come back.

“Ordered the chicago style gyro and it was absolutely delicious! Pictures might not do it justice, but there was plenty of meat packed inside the gyro and every bite was warm and full of flavor. Wish there was more meat towards the bottom but I think I got too excited and ate it all towards the top and didn’t leave any for me to enjoy afterwards. Oops! There are other comments about the tzatziki sauce being a little watery. Honestly, I thought it was great. Then again- I haven’t had a gyro in over a decade so I don’t have a point of reference. Anywho, the lady at the front is also super duper kind and attentive. She politely offered me a water cup after I declined a fountain drink. She didn’t have to offer but the way she offered I think definitely deserves a gold star and made me feel very welcome. Definitely plan on coming back and trying other gyros!“

“I had a delicious beef gyro and some baklava. Both were on point very tasty. Service was friendly and the gyro was made on the spot fresh. Baklava was the bees knees. Can’t wait to come back again to try the lamb or some falafel! It was $24 after tax for both item which I think is fair for both. I’ll definitely bring a date here sometime.“
