“Visited Epulo on Sunday and it was wonderful dining experience! Everyone was extremely nice and attentive! The service was exceptional! Me and my girlfriend enjoyed Gem lettuce salad and Fig&Bleu pizza, they were so good. Chicken breast with roasted potatoes was amazing and tested like homemade !I definitely recommend this place and will be back for sure!“
“Sunday, we set in the bar and was greeted by Melanie. Her friendly and welcoming smile really made our experience enjoyable. We’d like to thank her for her professional service, including her menu recommendation which was absolutely delicious and appreciated. Looking forward to dinning again thanks to the great service experience.“
“Food was fantastic. My mom said her fish tacos were the best she's ever had. Huge portions for the price. Good service, very polite and knowledgeable wait/bar staff. Configuration of lower level a bit odd. We didn't see the upstairs so can't comment on that, but the small downstairs bar tables are a tad tight.“
“Updating my review since the place seems to have changed substantially in the past two years. Dinned-in for lunch and it was fast, tasty and reasonably priced. The quality of the food isn't the best in the area, but it's miles above the experience I had 4 years ago. Way to go!“
“My friend is moving near this place and we wanted something delicious and quick for dinner. When I looked at the comments and saw that it had an almost perfect score from almost five hundred people, it caught my attention.woooow those people are not wrong, it has been a long time since I ate such delicious Middle Eastern food, it was so good that we repeated and will continue to repeat this place. For me this place is a must and you have to go try it 100% recommended. thank you for the wonderful dinner.“
“Finally an Indian restaurant in the Lake City area that is great. Food was delicious - would highly recommend egg curry, malai chicken Tikka, dosas and many other dishes. The service was pleasant and quick. No complaints whatsoever. So excited this place is only 7 minutes away from our house - we'll be back once every couple of months at least I think.“
“Went here after hearing lots of good feedback. Food was great as I expected. We got a bunch of different dishes to share. What I was not expecting was the lovely, warm family atmosphere of the restaurant. I was expecting more of a "grab food to go" set up. We decided to dine in and I'm so glad we did. The service was excellent, so attentive and kindly answered all of my questions about the food. We will be back!“
“I love going to this place, not only because of their great food but their service is amazing! Saleh, the owner is so good at communicating especially with the kids. He also explained to my son the menu so my son was able to decide what he wanted. I recommend their gyro plate with beef and lamb ?“
“We saw the high reviews for this place a while ago, and decided to stop by for dinner since we were in the area. Wow! The reviews are right. The food, and the service was AMAZING. We got the vegetarian platter(falafel and cauliflower), the dish with the kebab combo of Lamb, chicken, & beef, and two kids meals for our littles. The rice was very flavorful, the hummus was smooth and delicious. The vegetarian platter was filling and idk if I liked the falafel or the cauliflower more. The meats were very flavorful and juicy.Everyone was full and happy. There were plenty of leftovers for a second meal. Everything was worth the price, and the drive.Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian options“
“The food here is delicious and plentiful. Our must haves are the falafel, shish kabob and gyro platter. The hummus and salad (yummy dressing) round out an amazing meal, but there is so much more! I highly recommend ordering from Gorgeous George’s.“
“Beautifully presented delicious food, extremely friendly staff! Great options for vegetarian and vegan diets.Vegetarian options: Hummus, baba ghanoush, falafel, pickles, salad, lots of other options.Dietary restrictions: Great for vegans and gluten-free, Paleo, keto, etc.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs“
“We had the triple hor'deoure for a starter. Taste was unique and wonderful. I had the moussaka as my main. It was unlike any I've had before. Took half home and enjoyed it as much the next day. I finished with their baklava. Once again, it was unique, very moist - a great way to end the dinner.“
“This place has me coming back time and time again… if you’ve had gyros from other establishments you know they nickel and dime you… even an additional charge for feta cheese. But not at One Stop Market! In fact it comes with feta cheese that’s delectably melted and mixed with tzatziki and all the veggie fixings and fresh apple slices… it’s so delicious. And if the good food wasn’t enough, it’s a reasonable price too!! No additional fees for CHEESE. And if that’s not enough, you’re greeted by the sweetest woman with a genuine smile and she offers you a chilled beverage if you would like. My gosh, I love this place. If you want a quiet place to eat amazing food and have a crisp bevie after work, come here, you won’t be disappointed.“
“Best middle eastern food in Washington. Coming from Detroit (full of authentic Arab food) I hold high standards. The baba ghanouj was the best I've had. Perfectly tangy, garlic kick, very savory, and served with fresh pita bread. The iraqi kebabs were juicy and seasoned perfectly, superior to other Washington area kebabs and totally authentic. Plus they gave smoked rice on the side and a very nice salad. The prices, while kind of expensive, are still lower than most Washington restaurants for the same amount of food.Definitely go here, you will not regret it!“
“My first time here and the waiter Jeff was AMAZING! Friendly and knowledgeable Jeff maximized our dining experience! My friends ordered gyro and chicken shawarma plates that they loved, and the feta cheese fourno was delicious! The pork souvlaki shawarma was somewhat bland but overall great experience will visit again! THANKS JEFF!!!“
“Some of the most generous, friendly, attentive service in Seattle. We visited on a whim on a Tuesday evening, and we were the only guests during our time there. There was a server whose shift ended shortly after taking our orders, so it was just us and the owner/chef afterward. Really felt more like we had been invited into a family home to eat.The food is pretty good, very homey. Gigantic portions.Salmon penne - it could have used more vegetables, basil, and salt (or maybe just less pasta). The owner suggested adding more stuff at home to the leftovers, which I did, and it was great!Chicken marsala - can't go wrong with a cream, mushroom, and white wine sauce. Very good, and well seasoned. The menu and interior do feel a bit dated as others have said, but it didn't bother us. But I really think the specials menu should include prices.“
“I have eaten here several times, and I've had several different offerings from the menu... let me tell you... Everything is always great! Salads are crisp, cool, and fresh. Everything has been absolutely perfect every time I've been there! Service is second to none. They are always friendly, even when I take a long time to order. ? I would actually give the 6 out of 5 stars if I could. Go eat there, you won't be disappointed.“
“Beautiful ambiance, Thursdays are light, no waiting, and great live music! Fantastic menu...be sure to come hungry. Full bar, regional wines, and mixed drinks available. Our first visit but not our last! This restaurant has been around for years, and we hope for many more. Lighting is in the "reds," pictures of the dishes don't show off as well. But they are delicious and filling!“
“Very Wonderful place!!! My fiance and I love this place. We were treated like royalty. Complimentary mint tea for everyone. Delicious food from many of the pan mediterranean cultures at the store. The food was fresh (falafel, schwarma, kebe, halva, pide etc) and tasted great. We’re coming back.“
“This tiny restaurant served me a delicious classic gyro plate. The beef and lamb blend was great and their veggies were fresh. The hummus was perfectly smooth and the pita was warm and soft. The plate + fountain drink is $20. I will be back. Very good food.“
“Went there 3/28, the three girls provided excellent service, our waters were never empty and they gracefully tolerated my toddler being a nuisance in a small space. Hummus was amazing, 2 Chicken skewers for 25 bucks is very $eattle but they were cooked perfectly so cant complain. Even the things we didn't like flavor wise were high quality and made well. Would absolutely go back and recommend it.“
“Okay, so I'm giving 5 stars cuz the service was wonderful and the food was good. I mostly wanted to do a review to say thank you for being chill and for your kind offer to grill my onions cuz I don't like them raw and to give a little friendly feedback about the food.... I just have two things: first I wish the chicken shawarma was saucier, both more of the sauce it was cooked in and more tzatziki, and second the fries tasted a little like freezer burn which might mean the batch you were using is a little old. Thank you again for the meal! I'll be back to try some of the other things on your menu“
“Dough (yogurt drink) was great and so we're other dishes (friend ordered so don't have the names on me). Quick service. Would recommend substituting any of the rices (polos in the vegetation section) as a side for the meat dishes.“
“I dont give many places a 5 star rating, especially with how this place was lacking on service and atmosphere, but honestly? Rhe food more than makes up for these things. This is probably the best Mediterranean food I have had si ce the east coast and I could not recommend it more highly, it would benefit from a rad more sauce but other than that this place is very very good.“
“A pleasant surprise! Stopped by here after a roller derby match and was really impressed by the customer service and quality of the food.We had lentil soup, lamb gyros, and fish & chips. All delicious! My kid normally won't eat lentil soup, but she liked theirs. The staff is very kind. The restaurant was very clean and smelled nice. Enjoyed the music and lighting too. We will be sure to stop by again the next time we are in the area.“
“Go here. We had the falafel wrap and the dolma. They both were outstanding. Fresh ingredients and fast, friendly service. We complemented the chef and he gave us a "shaklava" on the house. Looks like baklava with chocolate on top. Ooooooie was it tasty!!! The place was clean, quiet, and inviting.“
“I’ve been to this Greek restaurant many times because you love their chicken and lamb souvlaki. The meat is always tender and juicy, and you find the price and portion sizes good. Recently, I ordered catering for 15 people and they provided plenty of food. The restaurant is very clean for dining in, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking healthy and clean Greek food.“
“This place was AWESOME! Absolutely delicious food with friendly/great service. Don’t miss out on the Greek fries, they’re out of this world. The shwarma was so good my fiancé didn’t say one word while eating. The guys working we’re so nice and apologetic it was taking so long because they were swamped with orders! No pictures were taken, instead the food was devoured. Highly recommend this hole in the wall looking restaurant.“
“I love this place! My go-to for falafel & middle eastern food. They actually have tahini sauce with the falafel, which I've really missed in Seattle - other places offer only tzatziki (which Fork also has. Nice guys, accommodate special requests, reasonably priced, quick service. Loud & hot in summer! Small place for eat-in (3 or 4 booths & maybe 4 tables for 2.“
“I’ll admit…I ordered the wrong thing, so that’s my bad!I wanted to try the Grilled Mixed Vegetable Rice Bowl, but I accidentally ordered the Grilled Mixed Vegetable Hummus Bowl…what can I say…it was a long day…Anyway, the food was delivered via Uber Eats, and arrived promptly, was warm, and packaged well! I appreciate that attention to detail because the last thing you want in the middle of a long work day is a mess showing up at the office!I will say that the hummus itself was tasty! I also enjoyed all of the vegetables, except the cauliflower which tasted burnt! The pita was ordered separately, which was unfortunate because it wasn’t enough to accompany the hummus. So, basically there ended up being a lot leftover. I mean that’s fine, but I am not a big fan of the leftovers. I also feel like there should have been more vegetables.Anyway, overall, it was an okay dish! I do want to go back and try something different to see if ordering what I was more in the mood for makes a difference! lol!“
“The bottomless chai is delicious (and all but refills itself—it’s easy to drink more cups than you’d like. Attentive service. Generous portions with fresh, quality ingredients. Many choices means everyone can eat here—vegan, gluten free, children, etc. I’m leaving with a happy heart and full tummy.Vegetarian options: Every curry or sauce dish can be made with vegetables, tofu, or paneer.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian.Kid-friendliness: Standard American fare available for non-adventurous eaters. High chairs.Wheelchair accessibility: I’m not a wheel chair user, but lots of space between tables, many tables of appropriate height.“
“Hit this location just after opening, so it was quiet, and we were the first people in. The food is really good. We got lamb shawarmas. The garlic sauce with the tehini really stood out with the lamb and everything. The lamb was a bit dry, and the ingredients could have been distributed a bit better. Esthetically, the place could do with something. It seems open but cluttered at the same time. All in all, check this place out. Oh, and on a final note, the ketchup bottles on the table are not ketchup. Ketchup has a white lid. The stuff in the all red bottles is amazing, but if you dont like spicy, you dont want it, haha.“
“Exceeded my expectations! The pictures on here don’t do it justice. Good amount of meat on the lamb gyro. Seasoned just right. Just enough sauce. The feta and fresh herbs on the seasoned shoestring fries were fantastic. The baklava was heavenly.Nice guys working in there. I was really hungry and the food was ready fast. But most importantly I’m sure this is the best gyro I’ve ever had.Parking: Parking was $3 for the first hour so not terrible.“
“Great location, great food, great drinks, great company, great history, and great atmosphere. This awesome underground tavern is definitely one to mark off your list of places to visit. Great for readers, history’s buffs and speak easy frequenters. Cheers!“
“I've been very slowly and unintentionally chewing my way through The Stranger's 15 Best Restaurants in Seattle (thestranger.com/food-and…). Slowly: it's August and I've been to 5 of the 15 (2 of which I'd been to prior to seeing this list); unintentionally: mostly I go to one of these places when I'm already planning to be in the neighborhood (meaning I probably won't ever make it to a few). Now, I love the irreverent writing style on display at The Stranger, and really enjoyed the author's turn of phrase. Her Top 15, though, I've found wanting - until I came to Hummus Cafe.Wife and I went to the salmon run at the Ballard Locks. As we were getting ready to go, she said she was hungry. I've wanted to try the Hummus Cafe since seeing it on this list, and Greenwood was on our way. She ordered a falafel & eggplant sandwich; I ordered lamb shawerma plate. My wife summed it up, "I'd come back here again." I was pleasantly surprised that they served actual lamb rather than the highly-processed solidified meat-like slurry found at so many Mediterranean places (they offer that here, too, but it wasn't on my plate). We shared a baklava at the end. It was drier than I'm used to which is normally a death sentence for me. It wasn't slathered with syrup the way I like it (I have a terrible sweet tooth); it was very buttery and flavorful - I'm also a major fan of "buttery". Different, tasty. The author of the Top 15 list seeks to balance delicious food at reasonable prices. This food is good; "reasonable" is up to the diner. 1 item and a drink each (plus 1 baklava), our bill was $50. Hummus Cafe is a gem hidden in plain sight - smack on the corner of 85th and Greenwood. We'll be back.“
“My experience at Caravan Kebab was truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant offers a delightful blend of Middle Eastern and international cuisines, providing a culinary adventure for the taste buds. Not only were the prices very reasonable for the high quality of food and service provided, but the dishes themselves were incredibly flavorful and satisfying. I had the pleasure of trying the Caravan Kebab special, which was absolutely delicious and offered a wide variety of flavors. Additionally, the garlic Nun was a amazing in taste and texture. The ambiance of the restaurant was also noteworthy. The decor was both simple and traditional, creating a cozy and welcoming environment. To complement my meal, I enjoyed a refreshing Mango Lassi, which perfectly complemented the bold flavors of the dishes.Overall, I can't recommend Caravan Kebab enough. I left feeling completely satisfied and already looking forward to my next visit. If you're in search of delicious Middle Eastern and international cuisine served with exceptional service in a charming setting, look no further than Caravan Kebab.“
