“I'm mad my friend didn't show me this spot earlier!!! For starters, we had the mezze platter. It came with dolmas (so good!! Perfect marriage of rice and spices!), tzatziki (so fresh! The mint...yum!!), baba ganoush (with a smokey hint), hummus (so fresh!!), tabouli (best ive had in a long time! It was not overwhelming with parsley... super enjoyable. So good we got orders to go!), and the piyaz (a chilled white bean salad with ginger root, onion, tomato, EVOO, and garlic...so good we got orders to go!). Entrees we had the mesopotamian lamb and beef (the stew was so comforting..like a hug. The lamb was so tender!), and the lamb chops (love the rosemary and garlic!) For dessert...freshhhhh baklava, freshest ive had. It had just been made. It was so perfect! It's not so heavy compared to the normal baklava with honey that Im used too. Looks like I have a new favorite Mediterranean spot to go to!!! The staff was great. The food was amazing.“

“Shawarma Land was perfect! A good place to go for a quick bite of lunch and or snack. It was perfect for me because I'm muslim and I like to know that my food is halaal. I don't ha e to worry about cross contamination or it the utensils are clean from other foods that are not clean foods according to my way of life. Awesome!!!“

“The owner is incredibly personable and is very involved with his restaurant. His staff is very attentive and have excellent customer service skills. I chose a faster made food, the Chicken Kabob (recommended by the owner) and there was nothing that made it feel rushed or made cheap even though the price was amazing for the amount of food that came about 10 mins after ordering. BEST DARN KABOB I'VE EVER HAD IN SEATTLE. I'm sad I didn't try this place out when I lived in the neighborhood 10 yrs ago. I'd be a lot fatter by now...“

With a diverse party of vegetarians to big carnivores and locals, out of state and out of country guests, everyone was impressed with the food. Guests going for seconds, thirds and I swear a few even went for more, so I know they weren't just being polite. There was ample enough portions to accommodate everyone's appetite for this glorious food. From working with Caroline on the menu and logistics to the final product being received it was a true delight. We truly cannot say enough. “this place has the best fries ive ever had in my entire life whether that be home made or from a fancy restaurant, minna does it better. incredible food, incredible service, and CELIACS listen up!! I am celiac and have never once had an issue here with cross contamination, even when i dont say explicitly that i have an allergy. i always get the greek fries or gyro fries, + the complimentary falafel is always a delight. thank you minna for existing!!!“

“Fabulous flavors and great spicing. Had lamb shawarma and the lamb/beef, both great. Baba ganush clearly freshly made and tangy. The owner came around and chatted with us, too; they import ingredients from abroad and it definitely tastes like it, especially for the baba ganush. Also, their juices are lovely and fresh, and the chai tea is also well spiced.“

I think more could be done with the decor, and it was understaffed, but the food was AMAZING! I can see why it is so highly rated - the meat is perfectly bribed or seasoned or whatever magic they do to make it tender and infused with flavor throughout. We had the Gyro plate and the Beef Shwarma plate along with the Baba Ganoush - each was excellent in their own way, and the garlic dressing in the accompanying salads is to kill for. The only thing I did not like was not their fault . Customers constantly talking loudly on cell phone , incredibly annoying ringers going off from multiple phones, some very loud voices . It’s a tiny place with close tables so hear everything. It has lovely lighting from beautiful lamps and is nicely decorated. I just wish some of the customers more considerate .“
