Sabah Restaurant is a must-try spot for incredible East African and Somali flavors, widely considered the best Somali spot around and a treasured hole in the wall. It is a south end staple in the community, a family-run place with a super welcoming vibe spread by word of mouth. The food offers a wonderful cultural experience and a homemade taste with huge portions. Standout dishes include the perfectly seasoned goat meat with spiced rice (bariis), the best chicken suqaar in Seattle, tender suqaar, fluffy sabaayad flatbread, chapati, and sambusa, all paired with that fiery green sauce. The aromatic spiced tea (shah) is the perfect finish. Everything is halal and fresh. While not a five-star date spot, the food will not disappoint.
