“IHOP is one of those eating establishments I take for granted. The food is quick, it will fill you up, but don't expect too much. But this past weekend I had a totally unexpected experience at their Renton location on Rainier Avenue - a hamburger that was one of the best I ever ate. I always only order the Jalapeno Kick burger, which is always satisfying the way anything is when you add grilled onions and pickled jalapenos. But this one was exceptional. First, it was obvious that the hamburger patty was made with fresh ground beef, not one of those pre-pressed, perfectly round, frozen blobs that's usually between two buns. The burger was stacked high with bacon, cheese and condiments and the bun glistened with melted butter. But, it was the first bite that made the difference. Juices from the meat and tomatoes exploded in my mouth and the grilled vegetables brought up the rear. The seasoning was perfect (I didn't have to add salt and pepper), and everything was hot. Please excuse the posted pictures. I was half way through my meal when I decided this meal was worthy of praise. Sorry about the piece of missing meat on the back side of the burger, I was trying to even it up with the bun! I need to also give a shout out to the staff and manager, who walked to every table to see if we had what we needed or whether we needed more of anything. Well done, Renton IHop. Well done.“

“This place has the most delicious pancakes I've ever tasted! They have a different recipe every time you come in, the blueberry buckwheat are particularly scrumptious... The corned beef hash & bacon breakfast sandwich are also quite sumptuous! You can't really go wrong with anything on the menu. Just get there early to put your name down!! They don't do reservations, and they won't seat you unless your entire party is waiting with you... So best to arrive a good half hour before you need to eat to put down your name on busy days (Fri - Sun) otherwise it's pretty decent to try and get a table. Enjoy!
Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu, and coloring materials for the little bitties (。•̀ᴗ-)✧“

“We had low expectations because of some of these reviews - but all those people must have come here at the wrong time because we showed up at 3:00AM and the food was excellent. Great portion size, fresh vegetables, awesome hummus. My husband didn’t get what he ordered (a beef and lamb gyro) and got a lamb, rice, hummus pita plate instead but it was still really good. The curveball here is that we were stone cold sober.“

“The hype is real. Buttery moist biscuits… delicious!
I ordered the biscuit with veggie patty and mushroom gravy. So good! Don’t miss out trying this spot!
Expect to wait long so here’s a tip! If you see the sign that tells you how long you have to wait, it’s probably true. So place your order and then walk down the street to pikes place and grab some coffee or other food.“

“the biscuits are good but they have to upgrade their ordering system. the only way to know how long it will take before your order is likely to be done is to go to the location in person. why can't they show an estimate on their website? when you order online, why can't they give you an estimated time that it will be done? the wait time is often about an hour and I don't want to wait around the pickup window for an hour, especially when there is almost no seating nearby“

“AMAZING flavor and well prepared food, our son loved the waffle stack and my husband and I both had the Oplas- out of this world! If you need a protein packed, delicious breakfast/brunch I highly suggest this place. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating.“

“Mediocre at best. I was excited to try their new caramel apple butter hot chocolate. The whipped cream with the caramel apple sauce was great then a very disappointing watered down Swiss Miss like hot chocolate under it was very underwhelming.“

“We came up to Seattle for a weekend and Shelly’s was the first place we ate at. It has a very home-y feel and the service was great and friendly. We had the pleasure of meeting Shelly and she was an absolute doll! Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make it back and eat there a second time, but I wish we would’ve! The food and service is amazing.“

“I've been to this restaurant dozens of times for both breakfast and dinner. Prices are pretty high, but the cheaper things on the menu are good too. I recommend the chicken strips and fries with ranch.
Staff are nice, but when there's a couple people here they take a while to get to you. Namely with the dinner crew, sometimes I'm waiting up to 10 minutes for them to give me a menu or if I've finished eating and am waiting for my check.
But the breakfast crew started recognizing me and welcoming me back after my first couple visits :)
I like having dinner here but I prefer my breakfast in the hotels executive lounge.“

“Loved this welcoming restaurant close to airport . It was very clean, relaxing atmosphere, great service and really good food! We got the bbq salad ; veggie omelet with grilled red potatoes!!!!; and French toast. All delicious.
So glad we found this place!
Vegetarian options: Salads and veggie omelets
Wheelchair accessibility: No Gluten Free bread. My Only suggestion is that you can toast frozen gluten free bread so it is available but won’t go to waist.“

“Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for southern style food, great atmosphere and also take advantage of the full bar. I had the oxtails and rice. I noticed the Walla Walla Cabernet Sauvignon and bought a glass. Being a black sommelier here in Seattle, the glass pours were very affordable and a great value. Notes of dark chocolate, ripe blackberry, ripe black plum, bell pepper and tobacco spice. I love this place and it’s also very kid and family friendly.“

“I get a stomach ache every time I go to an IHOP. But the wait staff is always friendly and they always make sure you leave with a smile. Plus, this is one of the only 24hour dining establishments in the whole city. Get the coffee. It's bottomless. The prices for everything else are crazy.“

“We placed our order, waited on hour. The waitress was a mess. I'm not sure if our ticket was ever given to the kitchen. We left without eating. The waitress did charge us for the tea my friend ordered. Never again.“
