Order at the door and the seat you. Party of 6 or more they auto charge gratuity incase you aren’t anticipating it. Food is great. They don’t come to check on you but probably due to covid/social distancing. Easy atmosphere. Parking is very limited so be prepared.
Don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you. Altho the menu is limited, this food is fantastic. The base is a delish half game hen graced with a crispy topping with just the right mix of sweet/savory garlic. Then you choose your sides: turmeric rice, broth, or noodles with a curiously good sauce reminiscent of Thai peanut sauce, but more subtle. Also on offer is a cool drink menu (mock- and cocktails) featuring flavors of lime, tamarind, pineapple and Vietnamese coffee.

The Boat is a flavorful spot with a unique menu. Their garlic chicken is a standout, with a savory skin made with fish sauce, sugar, and garlic. The chicken is served with a choice of rice, egg noodle soup, or dry egg noodles. The pandan waffles are also a must-try, served with a rich coconut cream topping. The restaurant's creative cocktails and NA drinks are a highlight. The Cornish hen is cooked perfectly with a great exterior crunch and juicy interior. The place is nice and cozy, with a design shaped like a boat. With amazing chicken and broth, phenomenal rice or noodles, and great service, there's something for everyone at The Boat.
