“This is a takeout / dine-out only spot in a commercial kitchen. The ordering process is admittedly a bit weird (QR code outside building to order on website then call to notify business or ring doorbell from inside in very, very small and often crowded waiting area) but was very quick for a pretty busy evening. The person that helped me was very kind and patient with me as it was my first time. I waited less than 5 minutes. The peach milk tea is, frankly, amazing. I should not have ordered a medium, though; their sizes are very generous! (The prices reflect this, too. I would definitely get a small next time).Very happy to live so close to Tabtea and excited to be a regular customer!“
“SERVICE: immediately met by friendly hellos and warm greetings. very nice throughout the whole ordering process and extremely helpful. FOOD: to start i ordered a taro boba tea and my boyfriend ordered a wintermelon tea with rainbow jelly. both drinks were really good, and the rainbow jelly was super tasty. the taro boba always slaps. i ordered a chicken pho with mushrooms and tofu; the broth was good and super flavorful. my partner got tonkotsu ramen, he said the broth was very savory, the pork was fatty and delicious, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. he wanted it a little spicier so he added chili oil to the broth which he said made it amazing! AMBIANCE: its a very cozy atmosphere and is a perfect place for students to come and grab a quick bite. PRICE: reasonably priced for seattle food. LOCATION: amazing location for seattleu students, its on the corner of a busy street with a decent amount of foot traffic and is easy to get to. GENERAL OPNION: we love this place, and we have been going to this place since 2022, the food has always been superb and the boba is always amazing. its a go to spot that we recommend to everyone who visits the area.“
“The lychee lemongrass green tea with boba was pretty good. The boba was fresh too. Unfortunately they were out of all their food except their turkey and I'm a vegetarian so I wasn't able to try the food. The staff were fine, though seemed unsure of how to respond to the houseless individual pacing about the front of the store between various tables for about 30 minutes or more. He seemed distressed and was also disrupting others. Perhaps more support for the staff in this regard would be helpful. Other than that the ambiance was very peaceful and it made a good place to read or study. The lack of bathroom even for customers did seem somewhat strange though. I might come back in the future and hopefully try the food.“
“Best Banh Mi sandwich I have had in as long as I can remember. I only ran in to order, I didn’t dine in but the place is SUPER CUTE on the inside and the service I did experience was also equally amazing! 11/10 would eat again! (I ate my sandwich before I could take a picture of it)“
“This place has definitely become one of my favorite spots for coffee and bubble tea! If I could give it 100 stars, I totally would. Not only are the food and drinks amazingly delicious, but also the people who work there provide such a wonderful service and experience that makes you feel welcomed. Every time I go I try to get something different (since there are so many options), but I absolutely love the Nutella Taiyaki and the tiramisu coffee :)“
“As a boba lover, I’d say this place is the best I’ve had. I tried their ceremonial matcha milk tea boba and it was delicious! The boba was chewy and it had a strong brown sugar taste, which I really enjoy. The matcha and the sweetness were perfect even at 50%. The only downside I’d say is finding parking for this place. But I’d still would come regardless!“
“Places like this are genius. You order at a kiosk so it's perfect for introverts. The food is absolutely delicious. Their pho broth is scrumptious. Their pho tater tots and egg rolls are also yummy. I haven't figured out the beer situation there. It's apparently self-serve. This is place is also great to watch a game as they have HUGE TV's. Great for pre or post game eats.“
“The "croffle" was yummy, with a nice sugar crispy coating & was made fresh to order. The wait (17 minutes for just 1 croffle) was not communicated at all, which is inappropriate for counter order takeout especially since they didn't look busy (about 10 people at tables mostly already with food, no one waiting at the front).“
“This boba is delicious, everything was fresh and it was made really well.I got the brown sugar boba and a lychee green tea and my girlfriend and I loved them both. The establishment itself is cozy and clean and had a lot of nice people inside and there’s a lot of parking.Vegetarian options: It’s bobaParking: At least 8 parking spots“
“After recently discovering bingsu at another cafe, my wife and I wanted to try the Mango Cheesecake bingsu served here. It was excellent and everything we had hoped for. I was also interested in trying the Shibuya toast since I had never heard of it. We ordered the strawberry Nutella version and it was incredible! Since it was our first time here, we didn't realize that splitting those two things would be a bit much for two people, but I have no regrets. I will absolutely be coming back the next time that I'm in the area.“
“Fantastic light oolong milk tea flavor that felt very high-quality! Service was also top-notch and very quick. I came in ~20 minutes before closing. The person working the counter greeted me cheerful and proceeded to make my order before I even got the chance to take a turn around the shop. Highly recommend and glad they stay open past 6 p.m.“
“The beverage shop opened in Taiwan has a bit of an artist aura and there are many people in the shop! The number at the time of purchase is 188, which may mean that 188 cups have been sold that day. There are some seats in the store where you can sit. The environment is relatively noisy with people coming and going, so it is a suitable place for chatting. The drink tastes quite special, and the pearls are quite delicious. There are many students from the University of Washington nearby, so it’s a great place to go after midnight dinner.Parking: You have to pay for street parking outside during the day, but not after night~“
“We had a three hour drive ahead of us - too early to get dinner and we'd already had lunch, but I knew I'd need something to keep me going. I'm 8 months pregnant and my heart settled on a smoothie. Right off the ferry from Bainbridge I looked up Smoothies on maps and Cocoa Banana came up - we are so glad we went there, we LOVED our smoothies. I tried the beet & blueberry and my husband had the kale/banana. We will DEFINITELY be going back next time we are in Seattle. The owner/person working there was LOVELY and the atmosphere was as great as the drinks. Highly recommend!“
“This is the best place to get boba in Cap Hill! The workers are very nice and the cafe is super cute. Been coming here for a few years and I recommend the cookie milk tea, the strawberry, and the orange green teas. The little snacks are also very good, though they are always sold out of the tornado potato!“
“Loved this place - their salted caramel macarons are lovely. Perfect flavor. I had their chocolate ice cream as well, and it was very good, especially for only $3 (single scoop, no cone). I was pleasantly surprised that it had chocolate chips and brownie chunks. They give you a punch card for drinks, that will give you a free one eventually, which is very nice!Parking: There are stores with parking lots very close by, and some street parking. The parking right next to the store is private property.“
“100% RECOMMEND!! i cannot say enough kind words. i've always been a big fan of mochinut, but today i became a forever customer. mochinut catered at my school tonight, and i could not be more pleased with the mochinut representatives. they're sweet like their donuts! knowing there's good people behind your food is always an amazing feeling. not to mention, the sweets are so tasty! there's not one bad thing i can say. if you're the mochinut worker i spoke to today, you're awesome! i love mochinut!!“
“I came to try Sunright tea studio for the first time because of their Maplestory collab! They featured a limited time Yeti’s El Nath coconut frostie and Green Slime’s Ellinia kiwi tea. Sunright does these game collabs every now and then so it’s always interesting to check it out. This location at UW is one of the few Washington locations of this popular California chain.FoodMy friend and I wanted to try both Maplestory drinks so we got the Yeti’s El Nath coconut frostie and Green Slime’s Ellinia kiwi tea. I drank the kiwi tea and it was pretty good! The drink was like your typical kiwi fruit drink though and didn’t really have anything special to make it Maplestory centric other than the cup and name. I would come again to try some other drinks here.AtmosphereThe space is very small and really only has standing room. It is not a place where you can come and hang out with your friends. There are 2 kiosks that you order your drink.PricingThe prices for the drinks at Sunright are average compared to other fruit teas places. The Maplestory drinks were about a dollar more than the average drink at Sunright.ServiceSelf service ordering so you don’t have to talk to anyone to order your drink. You can customize the ice level, sweetness, and toppings. The drink came out pretty fast.OtherThere is a parking garage next to the tea shop but coming in and out of it during traffic times is annoying to do since it’s on a busy one way street. The entrance to Sunright is right across the entrance to Trader Joe’s!“
“I LOVE THIS PLACEThis is a place where you can create your own Boba and size it however you want which I really really love. The service is amazing and everybody is so happy and cheerful! The atmosphere here is definitely a 10 out of 10 because it just works with the environment and it looks really really nice. This place is also Very family-friendly.Parking: Because this is in Seattle, it’s pretty hard to find parking so I would recommend parking at Northgate and just taking the one line in three stops to University Street.(Free parking in Northgate near Barnes & Noble.)Kid-friendliness: Everyone here is very happy and cheerful so definitely a 10 out of 10.“
“Just wanted to share awesome positive vibe of this place. We only got a bottle of water there, but experience left me happy. My daughter was very thirsty while we were on a stroll around UW. We kept searching for it, but couldn’t find any. We ended up coming to a cafe which was closed a time. I went in, explained a situation and asked if I could buy a bottle and quickly leave as nothing else was open. Staff was very nice to us and allowed us to get one. It was very kind and made our evening with frustrated and thirsty toddler much nicer. Thank you and we will be back when you are open.“
“My favorite bubble tea in Seattle! Amazing tea selection and not as sweet as most other places I've tried. Cute window seating and decor.Dietary restrictions: They offer alternative milk options (as well as adjustable sweetness and ice levels)“
“***BEST POPCORN CHICKEN*** That I've ever had at a boba shop ! It was juicy and tasty and the perfect amount of spice ! The only thing I could say was that having sauce options would've made it that much better. The royal tea was good and so was their crystal boba. It's a little pricey for me to say it's GREAT (~$7). They also have milkshakes and hot drinks options ! They weren't busy so it came out in less than 5 minutes. The place is decorated with a beautiful mural of the space needle surrounded by cherry blossoms. Would go back purely for the popcorn chicken.“
“While I have been to the TP Tea in CID numerous times, this is my first visit to the UW location. At 7:18pm, I was soooo surprised to see it was completely empty except one customer. At the same time in the CID store would typically mean the line is out the door long! This only tells me the UW area is saturated with tea shops. TP Tea remains one of the very best there is with true Taiwanese style milk tea. I like their sweetness levels, which is much lower than typical American drinks. If you like your drinks sweet, don't come here. I ordered my typical two drinks (I take them home to finish over several days.)- Original milk tea with grass jelly (only TP Tea knows how to make it really, really smooth), 30% sugar, no ice- Tie Guan Yin Latte, 30% sugar, less ice (no ice is not an option)Both drinks are $5.75. Both are excellent! The service was swift. The ladies there were busy - prepping, serving, making drinks, taking orders. No issue with service. The place has a few low benches that are meant for waiting for the drinks, not for hanging out. They line these benches against the windows only. The deco is the same as the CID store with wood carved flowers and leaves. The place is visually clean and neat.“
“I ordered the Thai Green Tea with boba. Overall the drink was good; a bit on the pricier end but it was of a decent size and hit the spot, so I can't complain. However, the employee working the register convinced me to not do 0% sugar but 50% because tea would be bitter otherwise. I should have listened to my gut instinct because even 50% was a bit too sweet for me. :(I still liked my drink though and would recommend both the cafe and the Thai Green Tea specifically. If in the area and craving boba, I'll definitely stop by again. Service was fast too.“
“It's unique to see a boba shop with free toppings (especially unique when you can get multiple free toppings!). Seattle Best Tea also has more varieties of tea than most boba shops do in Seattle. Otherwise, I didn't find anything noteworthy about the drinks they serve. My friend said the tea was "amazing" last time she came and this time was "good" (4/5 stars) but neither of us were particularly impressed with the boba (3/5 stars). The service was good (5/5 stars) and the ambiance is "leftover furniture that I got from my parent's house" (5/5 stars because that doesn't bother me).“
“I picked up a half pound of roast pork and was pleasantly surprised at how meaty and delicious the pieces were, something I've never gotten from the bbq places in the ID (most are at least 70% fat, if not 90%).I've had the roast duck banh mi and the pork/egg/avocado banh mi too, and both were great.“
“I love this place. Best Taiwanese food I've had besides in Taiwan. There are so many dishes from here that I have ordered over and over again. The popcorn chicken, braised duck wings, and the Malatang with super rich broth are so good. Service is good and the flavors are really nice. I've tried to recreate some of these dishes at home and I haven't been able to do it as good. One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle for sure.“
“The workers were helpful, the location was clean, and the portion to price ratio was very reasonable. I was intrigued due to the name of the shop. Service was fast and they were showcasing local art!Dietary restrictions: They offer dairy free and lactose free options.“
“An absolute must! These folks know how to make good tea! If you happen to be in the area, you must stop here. A great stop before a climate pledge event or if you’re in Seattle center. Tucked away on 1st Ave. The taro tea is to die for. I get it at 25% sweetness, hot. It tastes like Madeline cookies. So yummy!“
“Highly recommend for their matcha and hot drinks! (But not boba)Genmaicha hot chocolate was amazing - nutty, chocolatey, and not too sweet nor too rich. Matcha is great quality, and is properly sifted.I've tried some of the milk teas with boba, but wasn't as impressed, here's why:- their cups are smaller than typical boba cups, so if you add topping(s) you noticeably sacrifice the amount of tea you receive- the cold milk teas I've tried are kind of watery, and the boba is a bit gummy and not as chewy/bouncy as I'd like. The wateriness could probably be fixed by using half and half or cream instead of milk.Very cute shop, but limited seating! They also sell some pastries and soft serve ice cream. Both pretty good.“
“Very good service and very good drinks. The place is super clean and they have 20% off some drinks. I would recommend the fruity tea as is well served and has lots of fruit with chia seeds. The price is very reasonable and a good spot to get something refreshing while visiting old china town in Seattle.“
“Came to Seattle with my friends, heard cold plate is a cool place. The shop is not big but space-full, I like the vibe here it gives a warm atmosphere during the winter. The rolled ice cream tastes amazing, we came in on the Wednesday night, was not expecting to have so many people ordering a head of us since it’s winter. There was only one worker, it was a quite a wait to get the ice cream but she really did a good job on all of our orders and managed to get them out as fast as she can. We loved the food and service. Would definitely come again sometimes during summer.“
“Hangry Panda is a dream come true! I have celiac disease, so it’s not very easy for me to find places where I can eat safely and know I won’t be gluten poisoned. I have 100% trust in Hangry Panda when it comes to preparing delicious GF food! Everything on the menu is good, their GF fried chicken is like a balm to my soul after years of sad GF fried chicken, their Spicy Fried Chicken sandwich is probably my favorite thing on their menu. The wine drunk pork belly is also killer good though and so is their chicken teriyaki! I also really like their honey milk tea, it’s nice to have real milk tea and I appreciate that they make it easy to select how sweet you want your milk tea 50% sweetness for me!The staff is always so helpful and the food is really consistent, they have never messed up my order. Once I came in to pickup my food and they hadn’t received my order due to their internet connection going down. They were able to confirm my order and knocked it out super fast for me, so what could’ve been awkward was no big deal! The only drawback is that the restaurant is very micro micro tiny, so it’s more a place to grab food to go, than to eat in.10/10 would recommend whether you have dietary restrictions or not ❤️Parking: It’s usually easy to park right out front but there’s also a lot behind the shop with a couple spots reserved for Hangry Panda!“
“Clean sugar cane machine and fresh avocado for avocado smoothieSpring rolls legitimately tasted like our home made spring rolls, so we give that a 9/10. Food on the pricey side for what you get but it's definitely delicious. Wish the portion was a bit larger...Service was ok...they got our order wrong and was quick to fix the mistake and made up for it. Took a bit of time to get our food, seemed like they only have 1 cook in the kitchen. Fries were made just right, hot and crunchy. Ambience - it's near the beach so got a fresh relaxed beach vibe. I'm more impressed with the clean sugar cane machine and feel re-assured I'm eating at a clean facility based on how clean they keep their sugar cane machine and their working areas.“
“The food and everything was good. The broth was fresh and they used fresh ingredients. I did have a bad experience with not the workers but a customer. This customer was an Asian police officer. The place wasn’t full and they sat a table behind me and my friend. The officer said I’m going to move my umbrella in the side and put it in the dirty ground and didn’t even say thank you or waited for me to move it myself. I didn’t feel respected from the privilege police officer and they could’ve sat somewhere else. They shouldn’t touch what’s in theirs and ask before touching other people stuff.“
“Really happy I stumbled upon this place!I was looking for an "asian" cake where as it was "not too sweet" but still enjoyable. I ordered three 4-inch cakes: tiramisu, strawberry, and mango. All were very delicious! I was happily surprised with the mango - because it had sago inside the light and creamy frosting. Yum! Everyone at the birthday dinner enjoyed the beautiful-looking and tasty mini cakes.I also spoke with the owner(?), and she was very sweet and personable. Sharing that they have been around for 10 years now.I will definitely come back again for another birthday or event. Love the value and the cakes were perfect!“
“This is a great bubble tea shop and is walking distance from Seattle university. There is a wide variety on the menu and most drinks have a creative twist to the original. The lines can get really long however the drinks are worth it! There is a small seating arrangement as well as a small bathroom. My only complaint is that these drinks are very pricey compared to other places.“
“Good coffee, tea and salads. Nice location, bright & clean environment, usually a place to park right outside on the street. Friendly and helpful baristas. They do often play the music a bit too loud for my taste, but overall, I recommend the coffee shop.“
“I've been searching for a signature bahn mi spot ever since Anne's in Ballard shut down and this is by far thee BEST bahn mi place I've been too in years !!! The sandwiches are huge, pretty thick cut. Very satisfying and you will get full probably just on half :) permanent customer here and its not often I double back to places !“
