“Visited Bamboo Restaurant on a quiet Tuesday afternoon ,not crowded, which gave the place a calm, almost unhurried atmosphere. Service was quick, and the food arrived without delay.
I ordered the #14 pho large. The broth leaned toward ginger and lime, with a light oil finish and a subtle hint of cinnamon, a nod to the traditional spice base. However, it lacked the depth and cohesion you’d expect from a properly slow-simmered pho.
Typically, spices like star anise, cloves, and cinnamon should come together in a balanced, layered way , here, they felt slightly disconnected.
The noodles were thin and cooked well, though fairly neutral in flavor. The meats were a strong point , well-seasoned and prepared correctly, adding needed substance to the bowl.
I also tried the chili oil (saté), and this is where things dropped a bit. It had a heavier, more generic profile — lacking the aromatic depth and freshness you’d expect from a well-crafted blend.
It felt closer to a pre-made, store-bought oil rather than something developed in-house, which took away from the overall experience.
The atmosphere was extremely quiet no music, minimal interaction which made the space feel slightly awkward rather than inviting. Small details were also missing, like basic table spices or salt.
That said, there’s a certain honesty to this place. It has a simple, home-style feel: casual, calm, and straightforward.
At around $20 per person, it sits in a range where a bit more refinement in both flavor and experience would elevate it significantly.
A decent spot if you’re looking for something quiet and uncomplicated — but not quite there if you’re after a deeply traditional pho experience.“

“I’m in absolute slurp heaven after eating Slurp Station Aburasoba!! Wow the flavors are incredible, full of umami goodness, and the noodles are springy and fresh. My husband and I shared the Tokyo Ganso Aburasoba and the Shoyu based beef Aburasoba - they are unlike any Japanese noodles we’ve had!
The Tokyo Ganso is a symphony of delicious ingredients all dancing to the same tasty beat. The Parmesan, the poached egg (which was perfect btw), the liquid base and vinegar make this lovely sauce that pairs beautifully with the diced pork chashu. The dish feels jumbo sized, the thicker noodles were so so good, and there’s plenty of chashu pieces. We loved it, it’s insanely unique, a must try!
The Shoyu based beef Aburasoba was also a knock out, slightly more delicate flavors but all working in harmony. The beef slices were super tender, they melted in my chopsticks. The soft boiled egg was still slightly runny yumm. The noodles were thinner than the Tokyo Aburasoba but just as fresh with a nice chew. I also highly recommend it, especially if you want a more classic style flavor.
We ordered to go and the service was wonderful. A very nice server and chef prepared our food quickly and with care, they have nicely branded chopsticks and even put cardboard at the bottom so our to go bowls stayed stable. The restaurant is clean and inviting, with nice background music. Plus they have free parking right in front!
Support local and check out this gem in the university district. Prices are very fair for this quality and authentic Japanese food. My husband and I were sooo happy, we’re foodies and have never had flavors like these!“

“Absolute best teriyaki ever. Can be a long wait sometimes but it’s not an issue if you call or order ahead. Huge portions, delicious food. One of- if not the only- teriyaki place I’ve found that has such a superb quality of meat where you don’t waste any due to gristle or overly fatty peices etc (if you don’t like that). Always a 10/10.“

“The line was out the door this weekend for their grand opening. We ordered a Thai iced tea, ube latte, crème brûlée latte, and a classic milk tea. All were great with no disappointments. The owner was very friendly, and the space inside looks very updated with lots of live greenery. We work close by so we’re grateful to have a new hotspot to go to for our boba cravings!“

“Haven’t been to this store for a while, and this time I came back and noticed so many new additions, like the new Fragrant Oolong Mango Coconut Frosty, Cosmic Apple Fragrant Oolong, and hot & cozy drinks. The Pragmata event also looks so cool!
I’ll definitely come back to try different flavors. The boba market is so competitive now, so it’s great to see it keep developing, expanding, and bringing in new ideas.“

“No place in Seattle can be recommended more than this. Hi Tea has been my favorite bubble tea place in Seattle for years -- it tastes the most like Hong Kong milk teas, with great snacks (bubble waffles!) and great portions and prices to top it off. Plus consistently fast service and amazing location right across from Capitol Hill Station, there's nothing to complain about - just a fantastic place.“

“My friends and I came here and had a good time.
Difficult parking was a small minus point.
Drinks not too sweet but ice cream is too sweet for me (I'm not a sweet-tooth)
In conclusion, these were fantastic drink :)“
“My first visit here, definitely coming back. At first I was a bit apprehensive, there was no option for coffee (I could have read the online menu). I opted for a Thai Tea, which I have never tried at a boba shop, and asked for a sea salt foam topping. This was absolutely the most delicious drink inhave ever had, so simple and yet mind blowing. Please support this local shop, staff is friendly and the atmosphere is fun and clean.“

“Their new premium jasmine milk tea is fantastic! Recommend getting without boba to ensure the right sweetness.
I initially got it with boba and the staff was very helpful in adjusting my drink and they offered to remake the whole drink!“

“Good. The boba tastes fresh and the drinks are priced about average for the area. Solid portion sizes. Lots of options and the signs around the store walk you through them so you know what you’re getting into when you order, which is appreciated. They sell stickers and merchandise as well, though priced a little high.“

“Solid work or study spot. The atmosphere is a little dingy, but I don't need much to be productive. There are several outlets (consider bringing a long cord, some are a little far from the table).
Also they forgot about my drink and I had to inquire about it, but I didn't mind much.“

“I came here during a trip to Seattle with my friends and I got the Strawberry Seduction… Let me tell you I was THOROUGHLY seduced. I understand why it’s called Boba lust. I can see myself marrying that drink. Wife, kids, a mortgage, holding hands when we’re 90 dying next to each other in the same hospital room. Easily the best drink I’ve ever had. It made me float two feet up and two feet forward. I will be returning to this location.“

“I recently went to Ding Tea and was so impressed. The team was so welcoming and they were so patient while I took my time to choose what I wanted from their wide variety of drinks. I tried the Rose Milk Tea with Boba and it was 10/10! My boyfriend got the Monster Bubble Tea which was also DELICIOUS! I also really love the vibe of the shop, it is so clean and classy. If you’re a true bubble tea lover, you need to check this spot out.“

“The drinks (once you figure out how to order- it’s a horrible menu scheme they are using, I found it completely incomprehensible) a bit sterile in atmosphere tbh and in my visit today all the merch shelves were dusty, and the bar back area looked very disorganized- there are couple of bar height stools available, and you can drink and people watch a little. Drinks are served in a take away from branded GLASS jar w a metal lid, it’s kinda cute but ultimately burdensome and not environmentally friendly, lots of energy to produce and ship and ultimately this kind of glass isn’t really recycled so…. More volume and weight in the trash. But hey, the drinks are instagramably photogenic!“

“Wow, Timeless Tea exceeded my expectations! We tried a few things but the standouts were the Oreo snow mochi and the Mochi Molten Taro cake. The mochi tastes super fresh and chewy. I had never had anything like the Oreo snow mochi before, it was like eating a puffy cloud of whipped cream stuffed with Oreo crumbs. I thought the cake with the mochi would be a little odd but the mochi was so soft, the combination was so good. Everything was not too sweet and delicious. Will definitely order again!“

“The tea flavor and the tapioca at this boba tea place are amazinggg. The tea actually tastes like tea and the boba has a really nice flavor and is the perfect amount of chewiness. I got the osmanthus jasmine tea and was not disappointed. Highly recommend 15% or 25% sweetness if you like mildly sweet drinks.
They also have a lot of unique drink options and alternative milk (oat milk) if you don't do dairy :)“

“I’ve visited plenty of times already, and I really like how generous they are with their toppings and fresh ingredients. Every sip is packed with real fruit, which makes the drinks taste super natural and refreshing. I’m especially fond of their mango based drinks and grape flavored ones. I’ve tried quite a few different menu options over time, and none of them have disappointed me so far all the flavors are consistently good. The pricing is pretty reasonable too, it feels fair for the quality you get.The only downside is the parking situation around here. It can be really tricky to find a spot most of the time, which is a bit inconvenient. Other than that, it’s become one of my regular go to places whenever I’m craving fruit tea.“

“Not sure how this place doesn't have more reviews, but I'm glad I stumbled upon this. Got a honey black milk tea with boba and lychee jelly. Was super surprised that they do not add on extra for boba and other toppings. Usually I'm looking at $8-9 for mid-tier boba around seattle. This place? It's $6.50 freaking dollars for great milk teas. What a steal. Will definitely be back. Also has a pretty nice outdoorsy vibe to do work, so great for if you're remote/teleworking.“

“A nice little tucked away asian food place. Anna was the kindest woman ever, offered me a salad and brought my food out to me, serving smiles the whole time. The General Tso’s chicken was the best I have ever eaten, and I am looking forward to the next time I come in! The atmosphere was also amazing, very clean and well put together, lots of plants which made a nice vibrant space, and some gentle jazz. 11/10 experience, will definitely be coming back again soon, and this will probably be my go to asian food restaurant from now on.“

“Wow! This is first-class boba tea. Stopped by on a rainy day craving for something warm, I asked for a taro milk tea warm. It really hit the spot! I think the baristas can make most of the drinks warm even if not indicated on the menu. I was pleasantly surprised by the tapioca pearl... it had the perfect chewiness that you just want to keep chewing on it, not just two or three bites, but more like 10-15 bites. And the pearls are not tough at all... they just resist falling apart very well. What a wonderful place to overcome cold and rainy weather... Next time I will save room to try the fried chicken wings.“
