“A cute little shop that let's you step into another country. You don't feel like you're in Seattle anymore when you step in through the door. Delicious traditional polish foods! I was just grabbing a few things not stopping in for lunch but they had amazing looking (and smelling) sandwiches. I got some sausages, sauerkraut, pickles and some frozen bigos (sauerkraut stew).“

“So much delicious food here. Best turkey pot pie soup, apple crisp, and lasagna. Sandwiches are a mainstay. Recommend ordering ahead a little to avoid a wait, as everything is made to order.“

“Superb! Had the Bristol bay sockeye melt! Deli folks smoothly & accurately described the makings. I said let's do it standard. Was NOT Disappointed. Recommend them for salmon melt. They know their product well too. Great little shop held me over for a while, stuck locked out of my truck on way to work. Couldn't get stuck on a cooler location!“

“Authentic Vietnamese Food that’s delicious. Trek over to West Seattle and order some to enjoy with friends. It’s take out only, no dining inside but well worth your trip.“

“Zylberschtein's catered my son's bar mitzvah luncheon and did an amazing job! The food was delicious, there was PLENTY of it and the Zylberschtein's team did all of the set-up & clean up, making it effortless for me. Working with their team before & during the event was also very easy. Highly recommend them for your catering needs! 🙌✡️🥯🔯🫶“

“New favorite lunch spot for Banh Mi! The pricing is incredibly reasonable and the portions are generous! Flavors are amazing I got the roasted duck banh mi (added egg) and guava jasmine tea with aloe vera, total came out to be just over $16! Safe to say I will be coming back for a quick lunch! Big parking lot in the back. Not too much dine in space.“
“I do love this place. I rarely leave reviews. This is a family run business. Where else would one find a spam tree and I do not even believe in the holiday. I have not been able to try food because there is nothing I can eat due to food allergies but I hear great things and living in a food desert, it is here or subway and there food is handmade and visibly fresher. They even have warm spam musubi. I adore the workers and even the owners who are often working the register. While some say the prices are high, they are not compared to a gas station or even 7-11. They have a lot of IPAs if you like IPAs. And a wide assortment including Toliet Paper which they did not even mark up during lockdown. The vibe is rooted in serving the local Delridge Community and you can tell. Reminds me of bodegas in NY.“

“They have a great variety of sandwiches, and the hot bar food is absolutely amazing. It’s the perfect lunch spot, and the prices are unbelievable for Seattle. On top of that, the service is fantastic — everyone who works there is so friendly and welcoming!“

“I come here as much as I can during lunch throughout the week. I get the Turkey Club everytime. It is super delicious. And the ladies there are some of the nicest women I’ve met and treat me so nicely. It’s a place where you will enter and leave happy. Highly reccomend!“

“I was super hungry so I stopped in for a sandwich. I got the turkey club + bacon. Always walk by this place and never stopped in. I’m glad I did cuz not only was the service amazing the sandwich was on point. $20 bucks for a sandwich is crazy but it was worth it sad I couldn’t afford tipping cuz they definitely put love into every sandwich they make and seating is hard to find downtown.. Also got to witness someone buying a sandwich for someone else off the street. Happy to see that kindness still lives in our city. Definitely will be returning for my go to lunch spot. ♥️“

“The owners were very efficient (granted, I was the only one there), and they have an incredible selection of sandwiches. The breakfast burrito is SO GOOD, the salsa is amazing! The only drawback is that the prices have risen from what's shown on Google.“

“TOP SECRET SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM: You would never know that this little deli/convenience store tucked away in the Central District sells delicious soft serve ice cream in the summertime. These are your standard, no-fuss soft serve, and I love them. Creamy and light texture, not overly sweet, and no hefty outrageous prices. I think they cost $4/cone. The size in the photo is a small which is plenty big enough for me.
I'm a bit of a soft serve junkie, and some of the places I've been to recently include Indigo Cow, The Pastry Project, MOTO Pizza, and Temple Pastries' new ice cream and sandwich shop (that opened on July 5, 2024) and had some of their strawberry sumac vegan soft serve. Out of all of them, I think King's Deli has the best b/c it's simple and unfussy. And the price can't be beat. The atmosphere is nothing special but that's OK by me.
One caveat, be sure to call them before you go just to make sure the soft serve machine is ON. Sometimes when I've stopped by they haven't turned the machine on yet, and I have to come back though in the summertime, it's usually on all the time.
It's a hot tip secret and I aim to change that ?
Kid-friendliness: Kids (& adults!) love soft serve ice cream!“

“Good food, great views, not crowded when I was here 9am ish on a Saturday morning ☺ prob 20% available parking spots for the street parking (usually it’s 0-5% downtown Seattle during the wk), parking garages, etc. Really good sandwiches 🥪 custom-made on-site, and sourdough bread as an alternative for gluten-free. Not sure if it’s actually gluten free, but I didn’t have a headache after eating it (very rare- even gluten free but high yeast foods make me feel super irritable) so there’s a good chance it’s low wheat 🌾 content. I’m sure you could always order w/o bread 🍞 but figure it’s worth mentioning, for all you celiac-diseased & hybridized wheat intolerant gluten gluttons 😁“
“Booked a patio table. Patio was apparently not open. Ok, so we got a booth. The table had not been cleaned, it was sticky and there were food crumbs on the seats. Bartender, who was our server, seemed more interested in sharing drinks with customers at the bar than serving us. Got the appetizer wrong (thank goodness) as the mixed salad was terrible. Luckily we had ordered the caprese salad which was quite good. The pasta's were mediocre, undercooked and bland. Also, their beer selection is “one beer,” a Spanish lager. In Seattle, one would think they could manage a few more options...? Not recommended.“

“If I lived near here, I’d be afraid this place would get too popular. Good prices for some real good sandwiches! Plus, the service is great. Only 5 seats on the inside and 4 on the outside, but if you’re trying to decide where to get a quality warm or cold sandwich in the area, this is the one you should pick.“

“Got an Italian sub and the roger sub- both were heated, had add on options and delicious! I could tell the meat was quality, veggies were fresh, and bread was fresh. The store had great selection. Also had a good iced cappuccino that used a local spots roast!! The owner was super personable and friendly! Definitely will be back again.“
“Love the takeout meals. Staff are always so friendly and the quality of the food is exceptional. Highly recommend“

“Love Mel’s but have been disappointed with the bagels lately. They are always out of feta garlic cream cheese, or have just enough for half of the usual portion. It’s happened on several different occasions over the past few months. Otherwise Great salads at lunch and the power bowls are really good!“
