“Lovely Polish import shop and sandwich emporium. Hot and cold sandwiches with all the meats and weird stuff that you love. I was long looking for a New York/Polish style deli and here it is in First Hill.
And yes they have paczki in February.“

“So much delicious food here. Best turkey pot pie soup, apple crisp, and lasagna. Sandwiches are a mainstay. Recommend ordering ahead a little to avoid a wait, as everything is made to order.“

“Superb! Had the Bristol bay sockeye melt! Deli folks smoothly & accurately described the makings. I said let's do it standard. Was NOT Disappointed. Recommend them for salmon melt. They know their product well too. Great little shop held me over for a while, stuck locked out of my truck on way to work. Couldn't get stuck on a cooler location!“

“I love this little fast food quick meals. The owner of this place is like family to al of the customers that come in. The food is fantastic, the service is also fantastic. Best cheese and bacon grits also best breakfast fried rice in the entire State of Washington.Note: You will have to wait for the bacon cheese grits until it gets cold. There is always the breakfast fried rice. Both are very good ??“

“Zylberschtein's catered my son's bar mitzvah luncheon and did an amazing job! The food was delicious, there was PLENTY of it and the Zylberschtein's team did all of the set-up & clean up, making it effortless for me. Working with their team before & during the event was also very easy. Highly recommend them for your catering needs! 🙌✡️🥯🔯🫶“

“New favorite lunch spot for Banh Mi! The pricing is incredibly reasonable and the portions are generous! Flavors are amazing I got the roasted duck banh mi (added egg) and guava jasmine tea with aloe vera, total came out to be just over $16! Safe to say I will be coming back for a quick lunch! Big parking lot in the back. Not too much dine in space.“
“I do love this place. I rarely leave reviews. This is a family run business. Where else would one find a spam tree and I do not even believe in the holiday. I have not been able to try food because there is nothing I can eat due to food allergies but I hear great things and living in a food desert, it is here or subway and there food is handmade and visibly fresher. They even have warm spam musubi. I adore the workers and even the owners who are often working the register. While some say the prices are high, they are not compared to a gas station or even 7-11. They have a lot of IPAs if you like IPAs. And a wide assortment including Toliet Paper which they did not even mark up during lockdown. The vibe is rooted in serving the local Delridge Community and you can tell. Reminds me of bodegas in NY.“

“I come here as much as I can during lunch throughout the week. I get the Turkey Club everytime. It is super delicious. And the ladies there are some of the nicest women I’ve met and treat me so nicely. It’s a place where you will enter and leave happy. Highly reccomend!“

“The owners were very efficient (granted, I was the only one there), and they have an incredible selection of sandwiches. The breakfast burrito is SO GOOD, the salsa is amazing! The only drawback is that the prices have risen from what's shown on Google.“
“I've been to Osteria La Spiga quite a few times—and for good reason. This place gets it right, consistently. The food is soulful, elegant, and deeply Italian without trying to impress you—it just does. Handmade pastas are the anchor: rich, balanced, and clearly made with care. The seasonal menu always delivers, and the flavors feel both comforting and special, like a meal you want to linger over. The service is thoughtful and unpretentious. You're welcomed, not rushed, and guided just enough if you want help navigating the menu or wine list. Speaking of wine: the selection is excellent and pairs beautifully with the food. Whether it's a quiet dinner, a celebratory meal, or a night you want to savor, Osteria La Spiga has earned its place as a go-to. It's one of those restaurants you keep returning to—not out of habit, but because it delivers every time.“

“TOP SECRET SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM: You would never know that this little deli/convenience store tucked away in the Central District sells delicious soft serve ice cream in the summertime. These are your standard, no-fuss soft serve, and I love them. Creamy and light texture, not overly sweet, and no hefty outrageous prices. I think they cost $4/cone. The size in the photo is a small which is plenty big enough for me.
I'm a bit of a soft serve junkie, and some of the places I've been to recently include Indigo Cow, The Pastry Project, MOTO Pizza, and Temple Pastries' new ice cream and sandwich shop (that opened on July 5, 2024) and had some of their strawberry sumac vegan soft serve. Out of all of them, I think King's Deli has the best b/c it's simple and unfussy. And the price can't be beat. The atmosphere is nothing special but that's OK by me.
One caveat, be sure to call them before you go just to make sure the soft serve machine is ON. Sometimes when I've stopped by they haven't turned the machine on yet, and I have to come back though in the summertime, it's usually on all the time.
It's a hot tip secret and I aim to change that ?
Kid-friendliness: Kids (& adults!) love soft serve ice cream!“

“Good food, great views, not crowded when I was here 9am ish on a Saturday morning ☺ prob 20% available parking spots for the street parking (usually it’s 0-5% downtown Seattle during the wk), parking garages, etc. Really good sandwiches 🥪 custom-made on-site, and sourdough bread as an alternative for gluten-free. Not sure if it’s actually gluten free, but I didn’t have a headache after eating it (very rare- even gluten free but high yeast foods make me feel super irritable) so there’s a good chance it’s low wheat 🌾 content. I’m sure you could always order w/o bread 🍞 but figure it’s worth mentioning, for all you celiac-diseased & hybridized wheat intolerant gluten gluttons 😁“

“If I lived near here, I’d be afraid this place would get too popular. Good prices for some real good sandwiches! Plus, the service is great. Only 5 seats on the inside and 4 on the outside, but if you’re trying to decide where to get a quality warm or cold sandwich in the area, this is the one you should pick.“

“We grabbed sandwiches and drinks here one afternoon because we had severe decision fatigue and just wanted to pick up something simple before heading out to the arboretum for a walk. I got a BLT with avocado on sourdough and my husband got a reuben. They were both delicious with fresh and tasty ingredients and generous portions. Food is expensive out here, and these were noticeably affordable. The owners were really kind, and they quickly managed a line of people. We'll return next time we're downtown and need a tasty, easy lunch option.“

“Madrona is so lucky to have this little market! They have such a wide variety of essential groceries, toiletries, snacks, and even some hardware supplies, as well as beer and wine. The owner is friendly and hardworking; places like this help make our neighborhood feel like a small town. Please support this valuable business!“

“my first time ever going in was this morning , the lady working was very sweet and polite , the bacon an egg biscuit sandwich was tasty and delicious. I'll be back forsure 💯♥️“
“You can get a breakfast sandwich anywhere and it's all the same stuff. What separates them is the technique and care and quality of ingredients when making them, and this place nails the details. The bacon was crispy with a little chew left, the croissant was delicate and fresh, and the egg was perfectly fried so the whites were fluffy with some crispy edges (not hard and solid). Really just a delicious, and frankly better than I had an expectation of. The ambience is clean and chill, and the server (who also made my sandwich) was super nice. She even poured a heart into my latte even though it was in a to go cup ❤“
