“If you're looking for a fantastic place to socialize and enjoy some great drinks, Diesel is the spot! The bartenders here are always super nice and make some of the best, stiff drinks in town. Don't miss out on Taco Tuesday – it's the perfect excuse for a weekday beverage. Whether you're a regular or a newcomer, Diesel is a welcoming place where you can relax and have a great time with like-minded men. Highly recommended!“

“Unfortunately a lot of straight men taking up space here recently. Cover is cash only, $5. Music is very hit or miss but the door staff is great. Very dive bar ish, could probably pull in some better DJs because we often hear the exact same set.“

Pony

Pony Gay Bar • $

“I do show a couple doors down from this place and several of my friends do shows at Pony. Always a good time there. It's an interesting, very narrow triangle layout but with a big patio.
A photo booth, plenty of cruising, and bonus glory hole in the bathroom.“

“Fun bar with friends and friendly staff which is kind of a must for a gay bar. One of the staff, Jordan, seemed very positive and enthused to be working there which was nice. Made me feel welcome.

Food is good for a bar and not too unreasonable for Seattle. Nothing special, but it doesn't need to be.

Will continue to go there for social and sports events.“

“I love this place. I only ever come here for karaoke, but the bartenders (shout-out Marcus) are super nice and attentive, the karaoke hosts are on point (shout-out other Marcus, who judiciously employs audio effects to enhance your performance)... it's just an overall pleasant time.“

“Genuinely one of the best bar experiences I've had since moving to Seattle — and I needed it.

As a Black person who's new to the city, I'll be honest: Capitol Hill's gay bar scene had me feeling like an outsider more often than not. CCs changed that. The vibe here is inclusive in a way that actually means something — not performative, not selective. People here are just... themselves. Nobody trying too hard to be something or prove something. That energy is rare and it matters.

The bartenders Lonnie and Brix were phenomenal — attentive, personable, made you feel like you'd been coming in for years. I'm sure the whole staff brings that same energy.

The music is a major plus. They actually play a real mix — R&B, different genres — and they've got a digital jukebox so you're not held hostage by whatever the DJ feels like that night. Refreshing compared to places that just default to the same pop/dance loop all evening.

If you're new to Seattle, queer, and feeling like the scene isn't really making room for you — try CCs. It made room for me.“

“Surprisingly good and filling food. The fish tacos had a generous amount of fried fish. Ceviche tasted very fresh and had a large amount of shrimp. I should’ve got just the tacos because the ceviche was too much. Good place for lunch.“

The Crescent Lounge Gay Bar • $$

“Super great, fun, energetic bar! Bartender Mark is awesome and nice! If you're looking for karaoke this is the place to be at. I'm not usually a singing type person but I felt very comfortable here and didn't mind singing in front of everyone. If you're looking for a first stop or your last come check it out! Bartenders are very friendly I think one was being trained but he didn't just BS my drink he asked to make sure he knew what he was doing. Very friendly bar.“

“Mad Pub is a staple and one of the only chill and fun bars on the hill. Great place to start the night or end it with a night cap. The staff is all very friendly and the drinks are well priced compared to other spots like Massive or The Cuff. The cherry on top is the beanie baby claw machine that actually lets you win unlike any of those crappy claw machines in a grocery store or arcade. Nothings a better conversation starter than a cute stuffed friend to compliment your fit for the night!“
