“As a Californian I’m usually quite picky about Mexican food. However Carmelo’s passed the test for having fantastic high quality food that tasted authentic and delicious. I ordered from them several times while in Seattle (chicken burrito/ chicken quesadilla were best) and loved it every time! Highly recommend it to all Seattle visitors!“

“This is the second time I've gotten 9th and Hennepin's donuts on a weekend morning and I can sense this quickly becoming a new weekend ritual! The donuts are creative and incredibly delicious, I'm looking forward to seeing what flavors are coming out every week (check the website of the same name) and they are served hot and fresh - truly a decadent experience. The service is also wonderful, always kind and friendly. If you're looking for a weekend morning treat, definitely check out this gem!!“

“I recently got to experience this INCREDIBLE BBQ and my life has been changed. The brisket is so tender and so full of flavor. It just melts in your mouth. Their bbq sauce was out of this world and their pickles compliment everything just perfectly. I also really appreciate the little touches like the warm bun. If you need bbq for an event this is the place you are looking for. I have been a wedding planner for 15 years but I have never had anything so good. Thanks guys!“

“had been really excited to try a seattle dog for a while and finally got it herethis was an incredible hot dogi have to say probably the best hot dog i've ever hadstarting with the buns, these were toasted perfectlythe outside had a perfect brown toasted look that felt just hard enough, but theinside was unbelievably soft - these were some really high quality bunswas really impressed with how well these tastedmoving to the sausage itself, one thing that was quite surprising was the overall size of the meatit was too long to fit in the bun on both ends - which I appreciated as it was clear they weren't tryingto skimp you on the portion of meat. This was cut in half - which I also liked as it made eating it easierThe level of grilling on this was perfect - there were char marks on either side providing clear flavorbut definitely not burned. It had a definite 'grill' flavor but also remained quite juicy and enjoyable to eatThe vegetables (mostly onions) were really good as well. I know there was a lot of oil put on them, but these were also grilledto a really good level and were super crunchy with the oil imparting a lot of flavorLastly, the cream cheese was fantastic. The one food-based gripe I have with this was I wish there was more cream cheesespread on both buns, as I couldn't taste it that often, but when I could taste it - it really brought everything together, acting like aperfect sauce. I love this combination of cream cheese + onions + the hot dogI will say that this was a little expensive - coming in at about 10 dollars with taxFor a meal that's really not going to fill you up much, that's a lotGiven that it is a hot dog, the portion size was relatively good, howeverThis would get a lot higher of a score if it was a) filling enough or b) economical enough to get two of themOverall, an incredibly flavorful hot dog - only missing a slight amount in price and portion size, but considering that this is street food,I couldn't expect anything better in terms of flavor8.75/10“

Ceviche De Camaron Shrimp Ceviche

“Picture this: it's 85 degrees and you're swinging in a hammock between two palm trees. Birds chirping above the subtle crash of waves in the distance. You just cracked open an ice cold Corona to accompany the delectable plate of fresh ceviche you grabbed from the local spot. You dig in with the first perfectly crisp tortilla chip and are immediately awakened by the subtle yet vibrant flavors singing in perfect harmony: sweet chilled fresh fish, bright lime, juicy tomato, herbaceous cilantro, and a hit of red onion dancing on your palate. You close your eyes and let the flavors of the ocean wash over your tongue, like memories of a perfect summer vacation rushing through your brain... Your heart appears to speed up and slow down at the same time. Dang...life is good. Life is worth living. Maybe it's really that simple: just find yourself a beach, some fresh ceviche, and a cold beer and let your troubles fade away. Needless to say, the ceviche was exceptional.“

It's really good. I really like going there and it's in 10. dollar a burrito, I don't write reviews but this is one of my favorite places at the moment!! I buy the carne asada burrito.“

“Daily Dozen Doughnuts in Public Market is a hidden gem not to be missed. Despite the tempting aroma of frying oil, the food surpassed expectations with flavors that were above and beyond good. The maple glaze stands out as a must-try, elevating the doughnut experience to new heights. We sampled the assorted options, including powdered sugar, sugar, and sprinkled varieties, but none could compete with the irresistible allure of the maple glaze. The staff, despite being busy, were exceptionally friendly and even took the time for a quick chat. The quick grab-and-go service makes it perfect for those on the move. Additionally, their coffee products complement the doughnuts perfectly. “Stop by Fridays for the evenings special burger and you will not be disappointed. If you arrive prior to the required cover charge at Rhein House you can sit around the outdoor fire pit or the tables with overhead heaters. Plus you can enjoy a beverage from the Rhein House bar! (Shout out to Jeremy for supporting new business owners and letting them use your space!) I have had burgers from several capital hill restaurants (Red Cow, Taurus Ox, Oddfellows and El Gaucho (though technically that is downtown) and the Atlas Burger surpassed them all. Make sure to arrive early before the special sells out. Can't wait to return soon!“

Lumpia

“This is a great restaurant, the people and the food are great for the most part. A lot of people have an issue with the weird times this place is open and with the price of the food. I understand that the pandemic hit hard, and it's hard to run a restaurant. However, there are definitely things to critique. The food is good, but expensive for small portions. They are also having a menu change at the end of August (that's what I was told last time I came here). They changed the vegan lumpia to only have vegetables in it (tasted like a spring roll), and are getting rid of the adobo burger (no longer on menu) :(. The current menu does not have any lumpia besides the new vegetable one, no dessert, and no potatoes. I thought the lumpia was a favorite? I used to visit every now and then because we love the lumpia, but I don't know how often I'll visit after the change. Maybe it will be good though, I can update later. This place was great, sad to see a decline because of the pandemic or other issues :( If you have the money, it's a good place to support!“

The salsa is also great. They're always very kind and helpful too with service. Can't speak to ambiance as I haven't been to their shop but so glad they have one now and I'll be visiting soon!“
