This is the second time I've gotten 9th and Hennepin's donuts on a weekend morning and I can sense this quickly becoming a new weekend ritual! The donuts are creative and incredibly delicious, I'm looking forward to seeing what flavors are coming out every week (check the website of the same name) and they are served hot and fresh - truly a decadent experience. Warm, fresh donuts out of a unassuming and sensible food truck. Went on a crisp, hailing Thursday morning. We got one of each to sample. The menu was inspired and playful--you can tell Justin takes care each week to craft new flavors and textures. This week was a nod to the upcoming Lunar New Year: the Spice Cake Donut was reminiscent of a dimsum taro pastry while the Honey Cake Bar was of you tiao or niu li su. Food: what's not to love? Hot and fresh donuts made to order, hell yes. My boyfriend ordered them through their app, and schedule it for a pick up. Quick and efficient, perfect for any introvert who panic orders.
