“We hosted out engagement party at My Friend Derek's and it could not have gone any better!!!!! Not only is this some of the best pizza in Seattle, the staff took exceptionally good care of us. It felt like the pizza was endless, and they made so many off menu fun pizzas for us. The drinks were amazing (spritzes, natural wine, craft beer) and the vibes were top tier. Our guests had an absolute blast.“

“Every single thing we tried there was absolutely amazing!
I can easily say that it was one of the best (or perhaps the best) pizzas I have had in Seattle!

The koobideh kabob was also really good and the sides were so tasty!

We also tried their falafel and it was also one of my favorites in the city so far.

Chef Gourarz was exceptionally nice and friendly and made sure we were taken good care of!

The place is super lovely, especially when the weather is good but they also have a few indoor seating areas for when it is colder. Also, you can always take the food for to go too!

If you’re ever in the area, make sure to check it out. It was so good to be with the family and finish up some details for today’s big event.“

They grabbed me with the deep dish style pizza. i started following their Instagram so i could see what was going on. over the last few years i would order a pizza from them when in the area… a few special trips just because. Now just recently I started seeing Tavern Style pizza show up on the instagram. Started with photos from other places and then Windy City pie puts tavern on their menu! i wanted to try it since it became available and finally decided to make it part of my pre game for a saturday Mariners game. if thin crisp crust is not your thing then stick with the deep dish! it continues to amaze! If you like the thin crisp pizza try the tavern. it is not just any pizza it is special. the crust is thin uniform and crisp through out the pizza. the toppings are high quality and the sauce is something out of this world! I ate about half and took the rest home to share with my wife. thought i would be able to share our reheat but it didn’t get past the cold pizza phase… this has to be the very best cold pizza i can remember! So good we didn’t take the time to heat back up we just downed it! Check them out! really great pizza on 2 ends of the pizza spectrum!“

“2 years ago due to health I became a pescatarian and look for quality vegetarian, vegan options. Of the many things I miss at the top of the list was a good pepperoni pizza. I have tried all vegetarian, vegan versions. Last night my son and daughter-in-law brought me to MOTO. I ordered the vegan pepperoni pizza. The first bite made me literally want to cry. This was the best pepperoni pizza of ANY kind I have eaten in my considerably long life! Thank you Lee, Nancy, and the entire MOTO crew! Also had spring mix and Caesar side salads - large, fresh, and well-prepared. Skip the marinara extra sauce - it is served cold and isn’t very tasty. (I love marina sauce, so I was disappointed). I had a wonderful Old Fashioned, although I’d say the serving was light. We also had some pizza, which they sell by the slice. We liked it so much that we visited a second time during our trip. “Our family Friday dinner is always Pizza. Tonight, for the first time we tried Smoking Monkey Pizza in Seattle. It's in a Magnolia neighborhood and it's definitely worth the drive from Shoreline. The Pepperoni Pizza was awesome. The crust thin and not to crisp and not too soft. The Mozzarella Cheese sticks are sensational. I was told that they are made in house. They are a rectangular shape and the only complaint is that we only ordered one order. Next time two for certain. Garlic chicken wings. Seriously. So good. Good sized and the garlic flavor is so good. Thankful that we ordered a large order! Also ordered the chicken sandwich that comes with fries. Served on a soft Hoagie roll it had great flavor. Fries were hot and crispy. House salad too and it was fresh and had great flavor. The Balsamic Dressing was really good. The service. Super friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant is really cool. If you haven't been to Smoking Monkey I highly recommend it. As do my 3 kids. 10 out of 10 Lots of variety on the menu and everything is done really well! Smoking Monkey in Seattle is now a family favorite!!! Check them out!“

“Swung by Trailbend to wrap up a long urban hike and was super impressed by this place! I sat at the bar and the service was phenomenal - funny, helpful, and sharp. The drink options were pretty interesting and food smelled good, although I didn't try any. The decor inside was similarly impressive - a nice mixup from the brewery aesthetic of the area.“

“Came in late Friday night. Idk what it was but the folks working seemed in great spirits. Just genuinely chill peeps.

Pizza was also pretty good. I had a few slices, one of which was vegan with ravioli. Obviously vegan pizza isn’t quite as good as regular, but when you’ve never had ravioli on pizza you gotta give it a try. Tbh would consider again and I’m not even vegan.“

“For over 20 years we have enjoyed every meal on the menu. They are the only restaurant that I know that make their own pastas, sauces, bread, and desserts. What a difference that makes. Everything is fresh tasting and satisfying. The meatballs are so light and tasty, eat them slowly to enjoy every bite. Not only are their pastas and pizzas delicious so are their appetizers. I love how they roast their eggplant and they serve it in an incredibly rich tomato sauce with Gorgonzola on the side. Their steak is cooked to perfection with an amazing sauce, a grilled pepper, onion, and their incredible handcut shoestring fries that are to die for!! Enjoy“

The beer is a little spendy ($11/glass, give or take), so I skip that and get something from a nearby brewery if I really want it. But def go for the pizza and the chill vibes!!“
