“This has been on my list to visit for years but never made it! Big mistake as the food is fantastic!!Parking: Small parking lot and surrounding neighborhoodPet friendly: UnknownFamily friendly: YesFOOD:1. Garlic Bread (House focaccia, garlic confit, seeds, parmesan. Served with olive oil and balsamic) $12.00: 3 Star – I really wanted to love this bread as its different that make them unique to DERU. The garlic confit is very tasty but I think they had TOO much seeds that it covered a lot of the taste. I love focaccia but I don’t think it’s the right “bread type” for garlic bread. Focaccia is this heavenly squishy cloud bread but I want my garlic bread to have a crusty crisp exterior but super soft interior for the textural difference.2. Roast Beef Sandwich – Full (House herb focaccia, house herb crusted roast beef, gruyere, arugula, bacon onion jam, celery root aioli and house herb aioli) $18.00: 4 Star – See a focaccia is perfect for a sandwich bread! This was a tasty sandwich BUT it looked and tasted similar to the Chicken sandwich. The only difference was the protein.3. Roasted Chicken and Goat Cheese Sandwich – Full (House herb focaccia, roasted herb marinade chicken, goat cheese spread, house red onion marmalade, arugula, house herb aioli) $17.50: 4 Star - bread bread bread! I had to say that because I what else can you say about a good focaccia sandwich bread ?. I still stand by the fact that visually and even taste, it was very similar to the roast beef. Too light on the goat cheese as you couldn’t really tell it was there.4. Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting – slice $12.00: 5-Stars - OMG this carrot cake was so delicious! The only other time I’ve had an amazing life changing carrot cake was at DW Bistro in Las Vegas (yes it was life changing because until that point I did not like carrot cake). The texture was so moist and the perfect denseness (real words). The frosting was just sweet enough that it paired so well with the cake. ::Chef Kiss::DRINKS:Salted Caramel Latte (Espresso with steamed Milk and DERU Salted Caramel Sauce) $6.00: 4 Stars - first sip, I thought it was tasted like super water down coffee but I took my friend’s advice and just do a slight stir even though it’ll ruin the latte art. The perfect kiss of Salted Caramel Latte to the must needed caffeine, even more so as I went on a breezy day and decided to sit outside.MENU/RESTAURANT:I love their menu! Its very bistro style and you can tell it’s a place that serves local, clean, simple ingredients in the most fabulous way.For some reason, I have no idea why I thought this restaurant was in DT Kirkland. Its not far but as I drove, I thought my GPS was misdirecting me. To my surprise I found myself in a neighborhood with a small restaurant. There is small indoor and small outdoor seating which explains why its first come first serve. To be honest, this is really one of the reasons why I haven’t gone due to the lack of ability to make reservation.SERVICE:This is really a 3 part review…1. The in person staff is super friendly and will constantly check on us.2. You can order remotely via the QR code at the table OR you can go to the front and order directly. We originally thought to use the QR code since it seemed easier but when it came to ordering a slice of carrot cake it wasn’t even an option. I had to go to the front anyway and was told that oh for the carrot cake you need to come to us… why bother with the app than..?3. Their remote waitlist - I actually tried to go back for a 2nd visit but when I joined their remote waitlist for a party of 7, it told me it was 225 minutes which made us go somewhere else and lo and behold an hour later I got a text saying my table was ready… seriously…“

“This is my personal go-to pizza place and everyone is always delighted and raves about the delicious food. I usually pick up but requested delivery from company I've never tried before for a small gathering. When guests arrived and the food hadn't, I sent my kids to pick it up. Then, a woman called from the restaurant indicating they couldn't give me cold food and were remaking everything at no cost. Thank you! My guests were delighted with the food and it was a great as my kids and I always are pleased to enjoy. We have many favorites but the salmon is a unique favorite and the canoli is always a hit.Vegetarian options: Excellent pizza, salad and of course, desserts.“

“Love this place. The service is always friendly and a true family generational establishment. The baked spaghetti with meatballs is unbelievable. To be honest i almost hate raving about this place as i don't want them any busier than they are, but when a business deserves it, need to acknowledge the great job they have done building and keeping this business in play amongst all the chain restaurants and new fangled cookie cutter places now.Parking: Parking can be tough at times but there is parking on streets nearby“

Very friendly, helpful, and clear staff! Mini golf was fun. We ordered a pizza which was average but we didn't come for the food. Overall we had a good time and the customer service was excellent so we wanted to leave a review for that reason alone!“

We can’t remember having a better pizza anywhere! Add Carmelized onions, a balsamic drizzle on a crispy thin crust. “We had an early dinner / late lunch at this Serious Pie location and split a kale salad and pizza. The salad and pizza portions are enough to split between two people, however, if you have a hearty appetite, they can certainly be single servings.Unfortunately, Serious Pie will not do "half and half" arrangements if you're looking to split a pizza and want to have half of the pizza have different toppings than the other half.Strong points with their pizza are the crust - just the right amount of chewy. Their tomato-based sauce isn't too tart, which I like.Price-wise, they're a little on the higher side.“

Forge Pizza Pizza • $

“Conveniently ordered dinner online for pick up from Forge and it was simple and they were FAST! It's comparable cost wise to MOD (most pizzas are around $11) but it's a totally different style which is kind of nice for a change. The Mama P was by far the most delightful pizza I've had in awhile. The balsamic and the peppers just worked so well with the pepperoni. I had to build my own "Hawaiian" for my 4 year old but [Pro Tip] it would have been cheaper to order the Forge Luau and hold the Bacon, Jalapeño, and Teriyaki sauce. The Luau unaltered actually sounds amazing so I will definitely try that next time because there will be a next time!“

“I've avoided this place due to some of the negative Yelp reviews, but after realizing the food is from Pogacha I figured I'd give it a shot. And I'm really glad I did! First off, the service was great. I entered the restaurant hesitantly thinking I'd leave if the vibe was off, but was immediately welcomed by the bartender once I stepped through the door which I wasn't expecting. I then thought I'd just grab a beer and looked for a beer menu, which is on a display near the bar with 20 beers. Granted, most are $8 except for a few which are less, but that's not too crazy. At this point I decided I was all in and ordered food. I knew I wanted some of the Pogacha bread which they make fresh, so I ordered a sandwich which was great. The bartender even confirmed details of my order to ensure she got it right. The regulars were friendly on a Sunday afternoon which was a random but welcomed. I've heard they have an awesome patio which I look forward to visiting this summer!“

“Pizza. A global phenomenon. Loved by many.Absolutely perfected at Aria Food & Bakery in Kirkland, WA? Seems possible. We only ordered a small, plain cheese pizza- it’s the most basic thing and yet… I was shook. We went in casually as we were already right there and thought grabbing some bread would be nice.A divine message reached my brain and had me switch to pizza last minute. Life. Changing. What’s the secret? The bread? The cheese? The sauce I didn’t really detect? It doesn’t matter. All I know is this: I have had pizza in all its variations on every continent except Antarctica and somehow stumbled on THE BEST in my own backyard. The price is steep, yes. I believe $15 for a small.Worth it.Clearly you’re paying for quality.Overall the strip mall is unremarkable, the shop is tiny and basic, the person who helped us was a gem.“

“It's a Papa Murphy's pizza, you honestly can't go wrong. Been going to this location for quite a while now, and I can whole heartedly say that I've only had a couple unpleasant experiences. The college kids working there are quite nice and respectful, and do a fantastic job of taking care of your order. As for one of the managers, terrible attitude and awful leadership skills with quite a hint of incompetence, but I don't think they work there anymore. Despite that, you can expect your order made to your specification, and most certainly you can expect it to be delicious. Support your local chain, and buy yourself a take and bake 'zza!“

“I love their pizza and their staff except 1 cashier woman I met on 11/2 (Thu) at 6pm. I came to pick up my order like usual. She was on a phone so I waited. Several minutes later she finally eye contacted with me and gave me a sign that she would be helping me out after the call. So I waited more. Then, she accepted another call right after (Maybe another customer waiting on the phone before me..). Though I knew my order was already ready on the shelf, I waited for her. After waiting for ~10 minutes, another employee came to the front to organize empty boxes. So, I asked the employee if he could check my order on the shelf. At that moment, the cashier woman stopped the employee helping me out and told me that she would be coming to help me after the call. She did not even tell me how much longer I have to wait or why I should not get hold of another employee for help. She seemed a bit angry. Not sure why she was not even allowing other employee helping their customers out.? Gladly the other employee insisted helping me out. He asked me my name and handed over my food from the shelf. I appreciate his help. Maybe it was not his duty to help pickup order customers. But he went beyond his duty and made his customer happy. Thank you!“
