“I've been going to Amaro for years and it's consistently a solid choice. The ambience is perfect for gathering with friends or a date as it's easy to have a conservation without having to compete with loud music or tables that are too close together. The food prepared is well with quality ingredients and desserts are made in house. If you enjoy the traditional Italian preparation of calamari, this is one of the best renditions I've had outside of Italy. It's a starter, but I've occasionally ordered a double as an entree. Amaro is very accommodating with substitutions. Last night my friend didn't want risotto with her pollo arrosto, so they gave her a vegetable medley instead and it turned out beautifully. For a dinner house of this type, pricing is quite reasonable. The service is attentive and sincere, but often a little disjointed. They serve Caffe Vita, which is my favorite local roaster“

“I love everything at Uncle Peteza's... cheesey bread!!!!!, Hawaiian pizza, and antipasto salad are my ultimate go to's. My family has been ordering from here ever since I was a little girl. When we were kids it was our Friday night staple and we always looked forward to that. I also loved going to Frank Love Elementary back in the early 2000's for basketball and pizza night. The best! “Excellent! We've eaten here numerous times but it had been quite awhile due to Covid. In September we ate here for my husband's birthday. Our server was "Thomas" and he was truly great (very attentive). We not only had received a free birthday burger for hubby but the staff sang to him plus Thomas brought him a sundae for dessert! We Called Mountlake Terrace, Little Caesars. We called Anderson school the shed, which is usually supposed to be really good. Little Caesars Millie Terrace hung up on us twice. Thankfully Pizza Hut was open, friendly professional, quick easy, five stars by far.“

“Had dinner at Anderson School's Tavern on the Square. Roasted Brussels sprouts were outstanding. Grilled chicken salad had best dressing I've ever tasted. Entree was asada style NY steak and fries topped with chimichurri. Fries and chimichurri the best. Steak on the other hand was terrible. About a third gristle, the rest cold and tough as leather. I ordered medium rare. It looked just right so it wasnt the cooking, rather just a lousy cut. Nevertheless been to T on S before, loved it and will definitely go back. Just won't order steak again.“

“Always ordered Kadhai Paneer pizza. The crust isn't that great. The whole thing is about have a tangy taste and the paneer texture. It's an ok pizza. If you have someone coming from out of town, would be a good indian fusion dish to try out.
The ambience isn't something you go there for.“

I was informed by staff that cigar smoking is not permitted anywhere on the McMenamins Anderson School property, including the outdoor patios. If you’re specifically looking for a place to relax with a cigar and a drink, this may not be the right choice. Otherwise, the property is beautiful and worth visiting if you don’t plan to smoke.“
