“The pizza is great and I really like the cider they have on tap despite few draft options otherwise. We live nearby and our daughter likes the little arcade they have upstairs. Unfortunately, if you come in after 4pm without a group, it feels unwelcome to stay at the restaurant. The slices are taken off the wheel and for some weird reason there's no special combo for a slice and draft. The staff just sells whole pizzas and a lot of the floor games go unused because of the strange change of atmosphere in the evening. The staff themselves are also hit and miss. Some being friendly and others giving every nonverbal they want you to wrap up and leave.

Edit: bumping to 4. Food's great and think we got unlucky, because the owner was right about every staff member except that one guy.“

“Pizza was great! My son is gluten intolerant and the gluten free crust, (in his words) was the best he's ever had. The food was fresh and tasty, definitely going to be ordering from here again.“

“Crust is perfect, light sourdough. Margherita topping left something to be desired, it used regular mozzarella instead of fresh, so even hot out the oven the cheese was hardening and came off in a clump. An authentic Margherita uses fresh mozzarella which would form an almost sauce like texture, so that would be my rec to the shop. I'd go back, but for a different topping.“

“We try to drop in here every time we dock in Winslow. This wood fired pizza is so wonderful with delicious toppings and excellent flavors. There were three of us in our group and we each ordered a different pizza - all delicious! We look forward to the next time!“

“Came here on a hot 82 degree day and they had a shaded lounge with air conditioning, running water to wash hands, and reasonably priced food. I didn’t even think I was that hungry but once I had a bite I could not stop it was that good! I am 100% coming back here, what a pleasant experience. You can really tell the owner loves what he does and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful, even uses saffron for the rice! This is one gem of a food truck in Seattle.“

I have tried all vegetarian, vegan versions. Last night my son and daughter-in-law brought me to MOTO. I ordered the vegan pepperoni pizza. The first bite made me literally want to cry. “This is a great neighborhood spot! The pizza is really, really good, and there's space to spread out and hang with people. The beer is a little spendy ($11/glass, give or take), so I skip that and get something from a nearby brewery if I really want it. But def go for the pizza and the chill vibes!!“

“Our family Friday dinner is always Pizza. Tonight, for the first time we tried Smoking Monkey Pizza in Seattle. It's in a Magnolia neighborhood and it's definitely worth the drive from Shoreline. The Pepperoni Pizza was awesome. The crust thin and not to crisp and not too soft. The Mozzarella Cheese sticks are sensational. I was told that they are made in house. They are a rectangular shape and the only complaint is that we only ordered one order. Next time two for certain. Garlic chicken wings. Seriously. So good. Good sized and the garlic flavor is so good. Thankful that we ordered a large order! Also ordered the chicken sandwich that comes with fries. Served on a soft Hoagie roll it had great flavor. Fries were hot and crispy. House salad too and it was fresh and had great flavor. The Balsamic Dressing was really good. The service. Super friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant is really cool. If you haven't been to Smoking Monkey I highly recommend it. As do my 3 kids. 10 out of 10 Lots of variety on the menu and everything is done really well! “The manager here is completely rude to his customers and his staff. Refuses to refund or replace and item made incorrectly. Just terrible customer service. Think twice before giving your money to such a terrible person. Read many other reviews that talk about how the staff here is treated. The food is mediocre at best, but even of it was better, service matters. I'd encourage the owners to think about how they treat people and how they would like to be treated as a customer when the business was at fault. Disgusting. There were mushrooms sent to a kid with an allergy when it was clearly noted on the order to leave them off, there was a hair in the pizza. I would encourage the owner to take a class in customer service and learn to do what is right instead of being rude and snarky.“

“Really enjoyed this pizza spot. The pizzas are customizable with great quality ingredients, and you definitely get what you pay for. My favorite was the Funghi Salsiccia with the Cascioppo's Italian sausage paired perfectly with the mushrooms, rich and flavorful without feeling too heavy. The hot honey was also surprisingly impressive, especially if you like that sweet and savory combination on pizza. Definitely a place worth coming back to for a quality pie.“

From the outside, it looks like a beautiful restaurant with a cozy, stylish atmosphere. You walk in expecting a full dining experience, but inside it’s much more of a casual grab-and-go pizza spot. You can buy pizza by the slice, take it to go, or eat there quickly. There’s no real table service or restaurant-style experience, which was a little disappointing at first.

But here’s why I was happy too: for around $10, I got two slices of pizza, felt completely full, and the whole process was fast and easy. They simply warmed it up in the oven, and I was eating within minutes.

So if you’re looking for a luxury sit-down dinner, this is probably not the place. But if you want to stop by, grab something tasty, affordable, and satisfying, it’s honestly a great neighborhood spot.“

Not every place will do that, do that's awesome. give amount of toppings. chicken layered 4 slices thick on the chicken bacon Alfredo side, whole cloves of roasted garlic, covered with bacon. perfectly cooked. simply awesome! We also ordered chicken Alfredo pasta and addedI bacon. It was great also. and also had a ton of chicken in it. probably 50/50 chicken to pasta ratio. the pasta came with a piece of garlic bread that was ok and a nice fresh side salad. We will definitely go back!“

After speaking to gal who owns it, found out they make their own dough everyday, also make their own marinara and grate their own cheese!! This is a huge deal if you’re a foodie!! “My favorite place to eat in Ballard - the food, the staff and the atmosphere are all a delight, every time!
