The fish is always fresh, and the portions are generous. I usually order the chirashi bowl or the sashimi bowl, and both have been excellent every time. The cooked dishes are good too. We’ve had the chicken teriyaki a few times and really enjoyed it. Also kid and family friendly.

Our table was clean and comfortable. Great variety on the menu; I was able to order non-sushi items for myself and daughter while my friends found some great looking sushi plates. My chicken Katsu was crispy and cooked perfectly, and included a fresh salad and a cup of miso soup, which was very tasty. We tried the potato-ball/squid dish (I can't recall the name) and it was VERY good!!! Great on a cold evening to warm you up. Prices seemed fair and our waitress was very helpful and friendly. As I savored my meal, the sun beamed down, and I had to fend off some curious squirrels who clearly believed my bowl was their next treasure. I perfected my “I will not share” face—an impressive masterpiece, if I do say so myself.

We tried the fried gyozo, chicken teriyaki, and general tso chicken (pictured) and everything was amazing! The chicken was cooked perfectly for both and the sauces were delicious! The general tso was one of the best I have had in a long time. Saucy, crispy, no dry or chewy pieces, all just juicy yummy crispy chicken. I enjoyed all the added veggies too! The salad looked and tasted so fresh with a tasty dressing. I love that you can buy bottles of their homemade sauces. If you eat inside, the presentation of the food is really nice. I can't wait to try more items from the menu. We will definitely be coming back!“

P.S. komorebi is a Japanese word for light peeking through the leaves of trees and casting patterns. Perfect name for a such a little spot with such beautiful food.“

“Stopped in at this teriyaki shop for a quick bite while I was having a tire repaired at the shop nearby. I ordered a chicken teriyaki with a side of gyoza. The food was excellent, the chicken was tender with nice looking char lines from the grill. The gyoza was just the way I like it with the outside crispy and the inside juicy. “Just moved to the area from Bellevue, I've eaten at over 30 teriyaki places across the east side and Seattle. This place is insanely good and a crazy good value. Got the spicy chicken and a chicken katasu. Blown away at how well prepared the food was.

“I used to eat here when I worked in the area. It’s been years, yet I still missed the chirashi that they were kind enough to let me customize. Coming back, it feels the same except for their great new electronic payment system.

The hamachi is still some of the best I’ve had. They use plain scallops, a difficult thing to find at many sushi restaurants, and they offer ikura as an upgrade.

I’d rather drive here than settle for the typical rolls I’d find elsewhere. Still the best value for quality sushi that I’ve found anywhere in the USA.“
