I hope my more exhausted maner didn't seem like I was disappointed in my meal. I was very pleased and inspired, Shinya Shokudō is definitely worth gate keeping to be sure but joy is best shared. The small details inside the restaurant gave me the impression that it is truly well-managed; for instance, they even kept the soy sauce and spoons covered with plastic wrap, likely to prevent contamination from dust.
You can see the kitchen from your table, which allows diners to see for themselves that the place is kept clean.

The atmosphere was even better because I could hear some of my favorite Japanese songs playing at just the right volume. The staff were also friendly.🙂

I ordered the shrimp tempura udon and the avocado roll. The udon broth was mild and clean-tasting, and the noodles were wonderfully chewy and delicious. The avocado roll was packed with perfectly ripe avocado, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh.👍

I had no choice but to completely empty the bowls and plates.🤗

I was having a meal before the mountain trekking. Thinking I might get hungry at the summit, I ordered an extra spicy pork roll to go. That was the best choice. Even though it was a cloudy day, enjoying this restaurant's sushi roll at the top was truly fantastic. Even when I reached the summit, the Roll was still in good condition. I recommend you give it a try. (Please take all trash home to help protect nature.)

“This is one of my go to places when I don't want to get food at work. I believe its a family owned business. My favorite is the regular teriyaki chicken. Food comes out freshly made, hot and the teriyaki sauce is the perfect balance of sweet. Usually do takeout as the lobby isn't the biggest but you can eat in. Very conveniently located by the Microsoft Studios. Way better than the chicken available on campus.“
