Proactive, fast service and hip, energetic (but not loud) surroundings make up for tapas and paella that are in general, either too salty, too soggy or dripping with oil. Most of the food certainly looks better in pictures than it tastes in reality. The Mediterranean chicken was a happy exception as was the garlic shrimp.
The menu includes Spanish-inspired items like jamón and garlic shrimp, but unfortunately, the execution left a lot to be desired. The food was bland, overly reliant on fried components, and served in small, overpriced portions. Dishes like the garlic shrimp tasted like they came from a pre-cooked frozen bag, and the marinated fried artichokes were dry and uninspired. Overall, it felt more like a themed concept than a place serving genuinely well-prepared Spanish food.
Two hot drinks used a straw that shrinked and deformed, told the waiter to tell bar tender not to use straws in hot beverages, im surprised no one ever told them this before.
Food was ok, one of it was really good, the two salads we ordered were pretty good too. However the paella was just ok in my opinion, I told my sister I never made paella myself , but I'm pretty sure it can taste better than this one.
