After seeing this come up numerous times in my recommendations, I decided to finally try this place. They're only doing takeout right now, so I got a takeout order for myself, and they had it ready within 15 minutes of me ordering. I ordered the beef brisket noodle soup and scallion pancake. The noodle soup was okay, it was a bit bland though. It lacked the salty umami that I expected from a beef noodle soup, as the broth's taste resembled water moreso than anything else. The noodles were good - they were thin yet provided a chewy mouthfeel. And the beef was tender, so texturally, the dish was good. Just lacking in the flavor department. The scallion pancake was underwhelming. It was very thick and dense, and there weren't any flaky layers. I prefer my scallion pancakes to be thin and crispy with layer development, similar to the ones you'd get at say, Dough Zone. On top of that, the pancake didn't have enough scallion flavor, as most of it consisted of batter. And it was rather oily, which wasn't pleasant. Pricing was comparable to other Chinese restaurants in the area, you'll pay around $20 to get an entrée + appetizer. Though all the chairs were up when I picked up my order, I saw that the restaurant was reasonably sized and could accommodate large groups if needed. The staff appear super nice - I struck up a nice conversation with the cashier (who was the owner/manager I think) who gave me a nice rundown of their new special dishes. It's located in the Mercury's plaza, so there's ample parking. Not a terrible spot for Chinese on the eastside, but I know there's better options out there.

I ordered take out from this place and they told me it will be ready in 10 mins. I'm impressed by their speed. I ordered spicy chili chicken, cumin lamb and rice. They made it so spicy and I actually love it! But the spicy chili chicken kinda tasted nothing beside spicy! So not really recommended this dish but I think the cumin lamb seasoned so well! But if you dislike cilantro, good luck! Because it took me forever to pick everything out! Overall I will go back when I want Chinese food at night.

Had an afternoon to spend in Bel Red area and wanted to find a spot to have some Chinese food. This spot did not disappoint! Seated quickly, friendly staff, quick service, and delicious food. Even came with a delicious serving of tea!

I am very hard to please in terms of Chinese food since they are so flooded in Seattle. This restaurant however really blew me away. 1. Fantastic portion - Not much to say about this. I love the amount of food they put on each plate. 2. Flavourful yet simple - most dishes here are freshly stir fried with a big wok. Nothing fancy, but one of the main reasons people dine out in a Chinese restaurant. I ordered the 蔥爆牛肉/炒A菜, and they are both perfect. I will come back here more often.

The beef rice noodle was one of the worst and tasteless I've ever experienced. Some pieces onoodles were hard and uncooked lol.... The veggies and beef was bearable. Would not recommend or come again

Met a group of 14 for lunch on a Sunday about 1pm. Enough room for us in back room with some privacy from the rest of the restaurant. Large round table with lazy Susanne for 10 people. They were nice enough to attach another table for 4 more. I heard positive comments from everyone enjoying the food. Portions were large and reasonably priced. I had lamb with toothpicks and red peppers and it was delicious. I also had a take out order of house special pork fried rice which was very good. Service was a little spotty. We had to request water and could have been checked on more often, Friendly service, very nice atmosphere. Would be a nice date location.

Food was good but the disorganized services ruin my experience. Sit and waited almost a half hour to get the check, and they didn't let me pay in cash instead of the credit card payment.

This is a solid ok restaurant for me. I want to give this a 3.5*. This is suppose to be a Szechuan restaurant but with a flare of Hekka style. The quality is fair, Peking style shredded pork is a little bland for me and the buns that served with it was at room temperature and dry. Winter melon and ribs soup was a too salty and greasy for me but hubby enjoyed it. The dining room seem clean and had enough staffs on floor. Plenty of parking spaces. I might give it a second chance in a few months! I oversaw the next table over orders a big bowl of fish, looks yummy and spicy to me.

Ate here yesterday for the first time and loved it. Ordered the Feng Tei fish, spicy green beans, spicy pea vines, spicy fried chicken, and pepper prawns. Everything was so delicious. The spice and seasoning were perfection. I’m so happy this place opened now that Spiced has closed. I highly recommend this place if you like authentic Sichuan food. I’ll definitely be frequenting this place.

Excellent. Great tasting authentic Sichaunese food. Wonderful value as well. Very generous portions for the price.

Solid place for sichuanese cuisine on the east side. We tried their dry pot. There aren't a lot of good places in the east side that serve dry pots. The food was spicy that can be customized if you talk to waiter. Had good options to customize based on your meat preference. Would definitely return back for other dishes.

We went here for dinner coz the hubby was really craving sichuanese food and our usual go to places like Sichuanese Cuisine, La Bu La have been declining in their taste and customer service over the past year. The other restaurant Spiced simply up and closed. So here we are after looking at initial promising reviews. We ordered Prawn rice for the 4 year old, Sichuan boiled fish with plain rice for the hubby and cumin lamb for me. The fried rice was the yummiest. The boiled fish although tasted good but could have been better with sichuan pepper. The cumin lamb was good , it's just I prefer green onions and pepper in mine. Also I really hope they put some flat rice noodle dishes on their menu. Would be such a welcome addition. I hope the owners listen this. Overall - Customer Service - 5 Food Taste - 3.5 Ambience- 5 I would definitely come back here. And I really really hope they keep their standards high.

My boyfriend and I visited Dan Gui Sichuan Cuisine, which was a solid spot for some good ol' noodle soups. On a rainy day, we were craving something warm and filling, so found Dan Gui while in the area. On a Friday night we were able to be seated immediately. Located in a business strip across from Mercury's Coffee in Bellevue, parking is plenty and the space is large enough. They also have large, round tables for a group, including a private room. The menu features a lot, from protein meat-based entrees to soups, veggies, etc... Once we sat down we were given a complimentary pot of hot green tea. Although a lot of the menu features spicy foods since it specializes in Sichuan cuisine, our server reassured my boyfriend who can't handle spice that many of the entrees could be made non-spicy. While he ordered a beef brisket noodle soup, I tried the spicy pork ribs noodle soup. Our noodle soups were delicious and plentiful. My boyfriend mentioned that it was one of the best beef brisket noodle soups he's had. I also enjoyed my spicy pork ribs noodle soup, which for the most part, had good pieces of pork ribs that were tender and easily fell off the bone. I would say that it wasn't as spicy as I anticipated, but it was still good. Noods were also good, even though I couldn't finish half of the noodles since they provide a lot! I would definitely come back and check out more of the menu. Service was attentive, food came out quickly and was delicious, and the space was clean and bright. We also were able to get 12% off, as part of their promotional grand opening special. Not sure how long that deal is going for, but Dan Gui is worth trying.
