Man, the spot is a legacy, bro. I've been a few times and every single time they don't miss the service is awesome and the lady at the front is so sweet and not only that, the food is fire.

Spacious restaurant, although there was a bit of a wait during peak hours. The food was fine overall, but I personally found the dishes to be quite rich and heavily seasoned, with a noticeable amount of oil. Based on my experience, this made it difficult to distinguish the individual flavors of the ingredients, and I didn’t feel the overall taste or quality stood out compared with other restaurants I’ve visited.

Frying Fish has a lot of room and so many tables. Even on a Tuesday night, the restaurant was almost, if not all, full and packed, but I never noticed anyone waiting for too long.

Everything was very flavorful, but oily. Some of my favorite dishes here are actually the vegetarian ones like the string beans and Eggplant With Hot Garlic Sauce, which were some of the oiliest. The mapo tofu doesn't have my ideal flavors, though, since theirs is focused on that...
