Food was just okay, especially for the high price ($50 for a basic sandwich, 2 black coffees and a side of sausage). Coffee was in a plastic thermos on the counter you had to pump over and over and over just to fill your cup. You then had to get the person behind the counter to run to the fridge every time for some creamer, and they would come back and pour some ungodly amount in your cup. Really strange environment.
Gilbert’s on Main is such a gem! It somehow manages to feel both gourmet and nostalgic at the same time, and the food is absolutely superb. We love this place and keep finding ourselves coming back.

A really nice place with great staff and nice but small outdoor seating.
The french toast (half order) was delicious and I enjoyed the brioche bread. The raspberry jam was a nice touch and seemed to be made in house. The jalapeño cheddar bagel was great with strong flavor. The egg scramble was solid and I enjoyed the italian chicken sausage in it.
Would definitely return again!
