Ordered signature ship ramen, 2 kids combos, and kara miso combo with extra meat. Pretty good but generic ramen shop. Kinda interested in their appetizers if I come again. Otherwise, the ramen is good but you can find lots of similar restaurants out there. The kara miso was a bit salty.

10/26/24 (dinner hour) Ramen was excessively rich in cream, salty and not enough broth. The meat was dry and tasteless. We didn't even finish our soup, it was inedible. The gyoza was microwaved and awful in every way. The chairs were so uncomfortable, worn out and you sit in a slump. We informed a waiter and told him to tell the cook that his soup was inedible and gave the reasons. The waitstaff apologized but nothing else. I don't plan to return.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka in Bellevue downtown is hands down our favorite ramen spot on the east side, both for its location and the quality of its food. However, parking can be a challenge since the restaurant is in the heart of Bellevue. The small parking lot fills up quickly, and street parking in front is often hard to find. We usually end up parking farther away and walking. The line can get long, especially during peak times, and the waiting area is small, which can be inconvenient during cold weather. But honestly, the food makes it all worth it!
The restaurant itself is medium-sized with a variety of table options to accommodate different group sizes. The menu has a great range of ramen dishes, appetizers, and even non-ramen items. My personal favorite is the Toro Niku Ramen with Kara Miso. The pork cheek is tender and flavorful, and there’s plenty of meat. The soup has just the right amount of spice, and the portion size is perfect—filling but not overwhelming. We’ve tried the standard ramen as well, and while it’s still good, it doesn’t come with as much meat as the Toro Niku.
We also gave the seasonal citrus cold ramen a try, but it didn’t impress us as much as their original ramen dishes. For an added bonus, make sure to download their app and register for points. You can earn promotions for free appetizers or toppings, and I often score a free appetizer each visit with the app!
In terms of price, it’s similar to other ramen places, maybe a little on the higher side due to the downtown location. But the quality of the food and the overall experience make it a worthwhile visit every time.

Highly recommend it. Absolutely love the food. Get the combo, Gyoza and karaage are ok, but the ramen is what hits the spot. Perfect meal for a cold rainy night. We got kara miso and Negi Namban. We had to wait in line for 30 mins or so, while it was worth it - I think the staff could be more efficient about this.

One of the best ramen in the area hands down. A must try if you like ramen. My broth was rich and fatty ? and the noodles were just right. And obviously the pork was delicious.
Vegetarian options: There's vegetarian ramen
Kid-friendliness: There's kids portions.

The overall restaurant experience is good. The cooks quickly prepare your dishes and the servers are incredibly attentive. Overall this is a must visit location for anyone visiting Bellevue. It rivals Mitsuwa back in my home state of Illinois on quality and portion sizes.

The ramen is the best here! Out of all the places I’ve tried, this one is the one on top. Service is quick and the menu selection is very nice. I love the different bowl sizes here.
Kid-friendliness: Very fun kids menu

The ramen, katsu, and karaage were all pretty tasty. It's a small place so probably best to go during not so busy hours. We still had good service and the wait was only about 20 minutes.

After working overtime on Friday night, I found a nearby ramen shop and ordered a small bowl of Shio and a large portion of Bara toro chashu. Xiaogui
Shio Ramen - A small portion of 15 dollars. There is only a thin slice of barbecued pork in it. There is no hot spring egg, but the soup is excellent. It is rich and refreshing salt ramen. It is not salty and the noodles are not hard. I like it very much.
Bara toro chashu - The meat is very well-chosen and delicious, but the soup is hard to describe. The fried chicken is greasy. There may be soy sauce, peanut butter, etc. in it.
taiyaki - hot, bean paste filling, a bit sweet but much better with cream
