Awesome Yakiniku (Japanese style BBQ) at reasonable prices! Reservation required (only 6 tables) Would love to visit again.

Called to make a reservation they asked me when I needed the reservation then asked me for how many once I told them that I needed a reservation for two people they told me they were booked until Sunday to call back on Friday to make reservations for Sunday. They could easily specify that only party’s over 4 are welcome

My rating is more of a 3.5 but not enough for a 4. Really you should only come here for the A5 waygu as everything else was mediocre. What really annoyed me was the service. The two girls manning the space were tossing menus around, throwing grill plates into a dirty bin and such. I get it if they do that behind the counter in the kitchen or something, but the restaurant is so small they were literally throwing dirty dishes in front of my face, it was just very awkward and annoying! They were dragging their feet around looking really tired, it just made me not want to be there either. The waygu steak is worth it and saved this review from getting a 1 star. HOWEVER, WHY DO YOU CUT THE STEAK WITH WORN OUT SCISSORS?! Have you heard of a knife?! You are doing the waygu farmers a dis-service! I felt like I was at Palace Korean bbq when waiters cut up your kalbi! Oh and the MUSIC....they were blasting what must of been the '2013 Best of Electric Daisy Carnival' compilation or something. It was just the wrong vibe for this kind of restaurant.

If we are strictly talking food , 5 stars for high quality meat . It's so good by itself , rarely requiring sauce unless you feel like using it . I'm not sure I've been done wrong at any point . They serve A5 wagyu here. Last night was $10/oz and ordered 10.2 oz. did not disappoint ! The fat melts just right and bursts of flavor in your mouth. Something about that rice - iono, a good grain ? So fluffy , complements the meat obviously. As others have said , one star down for the space. It's small and can fit 2 large groups and 2 small groups at once. It is rare you can just walk in and get a spot. The table is also cramped when you have a full group that it was hard to find space. So the tip here is make a reservation , worth the meat and service , and get to know your neighbor !

Called 3 times for out special date and it was all booked. Tried to make appointment for 2 people prior to that weekend, they said that since there’s 2 people, you can only call in 2 days prior. So today is two days before the weekend and they said it’s fully booked. Okay, sounds like its impossible to eat at this place and that is so unfair because most people are only free on the weekend and what if two people wants to go on a special date? They can’t because they require 4 or more people to reserve. Does that mean they have to invite their friends on the special date either? This doesn’t make sense.

I've been to Japan, have tried Wagyu and well, I felt nothing, just no memories of how good wagyu over there was but Ishoni, I have had so many good memories, never tried A5 but today's wagyu already enough satisfied my love for beef, maybe someday when My wallet gets bigger. I know some people would get annoyed by their reservation system but honestly, with the size of their space, without reservation, it's gonna be a hella chaotic place. I'd just stick with their meats, their kimchi is good, the miso complimentary is good, everything is good, their meats however, are way superior and worth your money than other items. I love the 2 waitresses working there, they worked super hard, I don't know the other girl's name but Shen is amazing, nice and attentive. I hope their boss will get them a high raise when they move up to Capitol hill! :)) Recommended : Today's wagyu, bbq sauce short ribs, and ask for spicy miso dipping sauce ;)

My cousin decided to do his birthday dinner here and I'm so glad he did. It was my husband and I's first time and man was it good. Very small restaurant, but quality food and service. The wagyu beef is literally like butter and the Ishoni rice is sooo good! Definitely best to have reservations if you want to for sure secure a table. It's a little pricy, but def worth the price.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. I am always looking for an excuse to go, and bring friends who have not had a chance to try this place yet. All of the food choices are top notch amazing and it's so much fun sitting around a table grilling your own food chatting with friends.

Went for a business dinner. Im just not into having to cook my own meal when I go out to eat. Very, very limited on its seafood selection; you can get 4 shrimp or 2 scallops...that's it. And the beef isn't anything to write home about. Meh.

I really didn't want to write this review. What's so good about a restaurant that ONLY has six tables and is hard to get into? They also only give you 1.5hrs to eat and then will do last call an hour in to make sure you leave the table on time for the next party. It's terrible. You shouldn't come here. That way, I have a higher chance of getting a table. Everything beef we ordered was amazing - wagyu, rib meat, rib finger, the Ishoni rice, the Ishoni salad. The chicken cartilage we got was good, but the star of the show is definitely the beef. We also got some mushrooms medley to round out the meal. I'm already dreaming of the next time I come back!

This place is amazing!!! A definite must try! We were so lucky to find this place and manage to get a table for walk-in which is usually not the case. It is a must to get a reservation especially for a big party. They were already booked until January 3rd. They only have 6 tables available. They use a charcoal grill to cook the food. The meat here is just really good! We ordered the meat trio, wagyu beef karubi, and the wagyu premium beef cubes. They are absolutely delicious; its melt in your mouth good! The meat is so flavorful that you do not need to use any additional sauce! We also ordered the seasoned rice which comes with onions, green onions, furikake and their house special sauce! I highly recommend it to eat it together with the delicious meats! The customer service in that restaurant is just exceptional. They were very friendly and helpful! The price is on the higher side but dont let that stop you from coming here! The quality of the food is very high end and the price is definitely worth the quality. We were a party of 5 and it came up to about $30 a person! The restaurant is also very clean and has a good atmosphere to compliment the eating experience. I highly recommend trying this place! It is definitely one of the best japanese BBQ I have tried! F-f-f-Five STARS easy!
