This is one of those Japanese places that also masters the cooked food side of things. Came here after a stressful week of work and I'm glad to have found this place. I ordered a hot bowl of udon, tempura, and house sake. Nothing fansy, but just the comfort food that I needed. The service here is beyond awesome, with owners and servers who would make you laugh, I walked in with a frown on my face and by the end of it I came out with a smile, time and money well spent.

When you walk in and you see the chefs are Japanese, then you know you are in the right place. The lunch sushi combo is good and in reasonable price.

Warning: DO NOT go during weekend nights!!With that being said, the restaurant is actually worth going during weekday lunch. But it's like the restaurant is run by different people on weekend nights. The service is less than attentive, yet they would add 20% gratuity to a party of 5 people. Food is not bad but very little portion. The kid's bento has 1 piece of gyoza, 2 little sausages, 2 cold small pieces of imitation crab (might as well take that off), 1 inari sushi, and a okay- size katsu, but NO RICE to go with katsu. When we asked about having rice in bento, the server told us there is rice in the inari sushi, or my older son's curry plate has rice so he can share with my little one. (??!) We just went ahead and ordered a small bowl of rice ($3) to avoid any further ridiculous response from the server. The experience just went speechless when we heard the head waitress telling the trainee: we include gratuity for parties more than 5 people. If she can count, she would know that our party has 5, not more than 5. I have no problem giving 20% tip, but after hearing that it just leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Just sharing my personal feelings and hope no one gets treated like us. Thanks for reading.

We enjoyed real Japanese sushi at lunch prices at this restaurant. The restaurant may seem casual, but the sushi they serve was one of the best in Redmond in my opinion. They also serve American Japanese foods such as "California roll" and "Dragon(?) roll", which were also good. But if you are used to Japanese food, try Japanese authentic ones. I think it is as good as you can enjoy in Japan.

Bad customer service! Make so many excuses to cover up their mistake. Judy and an older Japanese man server are both rude! They treat you like you come in to eat for free.
