On top of that, the owner (Mark) is super nice and helpful. He answered all of our questions, and we learned a lot!

Wanted 8lbs(+) of Penn Cove mussels for family gathering, visited in person Friday to inquire. Was told to order ahead & did so on Saturday. Stated we want eat on Tuesday, and pick up late morning to eat mid day. Was told “that sounds good”.
Call on Tuesday at 12, told they’re not here yet. Call at 3:10, still not here. Received text at 3:30 saying they’re here.
Arrived at store 3:40, confirmed I ordered ahead for Penn Cove mussels. Store was unpacking order that arrived USPS, left standing while they checked in all the other items that arrived, not rung up until 4pm.
Asked if they would honor the 20% discount sign hanging out front due to the delay. Was told that “I wouldn’t ask that question at safeway, would I?”. I spent $500 on crab legs here last year. I don’t do that at safeway either, nor do I order days in advance. Was told all they could do was a $10 discount from the $500 purchase last year.
Got to the gathering and discovered the mussels were not from Penn Cove (3 hrs north) at all, instead from Totten Inlet (3 hrs south). Entirely different species of mussel.
I wonder what Taylor Shellfish Farms thinks of having their product misrepresented as being from Penn Cove? Could have ordered direct from Taylor’s website for the same price, without misrepresenting product origin or time of delivery.
I wonder why I did not have the experience the owner always replies with saying “our policy is customer is always right”? Lost 4 hours with friends and family waiting to pick up, delayed our plans for the whole day afternoon and evening, misrepresented product, would not offer any gesture to make it right.
Product from Taylor was just fine, customer service from Local Market was extremely disappointing.
UPDATE: owner states that customer asking business to honor their commitment is an “attack”. Did not honor their giant banner out front saying “20% discount”. Did not acknowledge misrepresenting product origin. Highly unprofessional, and certainly not “the best service possible”

I got a bag of smoked salmon via tgtg for more than 13 dollars. When I got back home, I saw the food has expired for almost a month. When I opened the packed, it smells so bad.

I ordered raw red caviar from this seafood store, and I was very impressed! The quality of the product was excellent—super fresh, big size, well packaged, reasonable price. It was delivered the very next morning to Maryland, which was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend this place!
Lots of killer smoked fish and caviar options here, owner is very friendly and welcoming. My brother got a great deal using the Good To App and he threw together a great selection, some fish and smoked stuff, made for a super fun lunch with the family.

Went in for the first time today and got to meet Mark - professional, humble, down-to-Earth owner. Got to speak a little bit about the business and sample some of the selection. Picked up a pound of quality yellow fin and for a very fair price (he didnt even charge for the trim), and he even shared some optimal cooking methods based off of how I was going to prepare it. Left with much more than I had intended on grabbing as a very satisfied customer.
Will definitely be back.

Walked in, kinda knew what I wanted and got a few more things. Service was great and their caviar selection is wonderful, smoked salmon sticks YUM.. and they have bottarga! Will definitely be back!

Amazing little spot! Caught my first coho salmon and didn’t have the means to filet it at home, and they were able to prep and vacuum seal everything for me 🙏🏻 Will definitely be coming back (their raw oysters were fantastic too 😍)
