Friendly and responsive staff. Delicious and tasty Bbq pork rice, congee, noodles. This has been my “Go-to” place for roast meat cravings.

I bought half of the roasted duck. After the employee in the store cut it and put in the to-go box, I brought it home. After I put it on the plate to reheat it, I realized the wing and drumette were missing. The employee may secretly take them when he was cutting the duck. Not honest. The taste was good. But stealing the wing and drumette is bad.
The date is June 7th. Time is around 6-6:30pm. I didn’t keep the receipt after I finished my dinner at home that day. I didn’t notice a mirror there. I paid and just talked with my friend when I was waiting. I am not sure how to reply in this google review. So I just edited my post to reply the owner’ comment.

First of all the quality of its hong kong style barbeque has gone down A LOT. The meat is WAY to salty, and there’s barely any flavor from the spices. The skin is not even remotely crispy. In addition, i ordered chubby duck, and the duck is on the lean side. Second, the staff there are not friendly at all. They didn’t treat the customers in front of me politely, nor did they treat me. I personally DO NOT recommend people from getting hong kong style barbeque here because of the decrease in quality. If you want to get good hong kong style barbeque, then i do know there is one restaurant in Issaquah that sells good hong kong style barbeque. I believe there’s also a good one in shoreline.

My coworkers food looked amazing. I wanted to grab his lunch. I give 5 stars because of how good it looked and smelled in the lunchroom. The business reviews are hilarious. I appreciate the good read.

I appreciate the owner’s follow-up. However, I want to clarify that the explanation doesn’t match my experience.

I did not receive any brisket: only two pieces of tendon. I was also present when my order was prepared and saw tendon still being cut and placed back into the pot.

Very disappointed. I usually order from here on DoorDash and the portions are fine, but when I ordered in-store today, the portion was much smaller.

The beef tendon combo only came with 2 pieces of tendon (normally 5–6). Same price, much less food. Not acceptable.

The food comes in extremely small portions!!!!!!! , service is unbelievably rude, their meat taste gamey and not fresh at all. I’ve been a many times customer to lucky barbecue and it’s just disappointing that they bully customers.

i have been buying ducks from them for years, recently, i experience the small pieces, more bones, less meat than before as people posted here. While I can’t confirm exactly what changed, but i am going to other places for better experience from now on. the fact that people spending time to share it is to prevent people from experiencing the disappointment. if ownership wants to solve this concern, they could make the cutting process more transparent and even live streaming.

Got a whole chubby duck, chopped. Came home to see a set of skinny back sections. No piece is thicker than half inch with skin and bones. Practically no meat. No breasts, no wings, no thighs. It's not the first time i buy a whole duck and i know what it's supposed to look like. Well, it was definitely the last time i got a duck here.

The new cashier, Wangli, is super friendly, knowledgeable about the food, and really understands what customers are looking for. A great asset to the shop! Not mentioning, Lucky BBQ always provides good quality of food.

I've been going back to them whenever I felt like having some roast ducks. But I might stop from now on. Bought a whole chubby one today, but felt the portion looking odd after I opened up the container. So I tried to go through each part of the duck. Then I found the majority of the thighs were missing. Don't they know that cantonese people can put a chopped duck or chicken back together? Anyway, gotta find a new place for roast ducks now.

Review on 2/19/2025 - the owner issued refund the day after. Looks like they truly valued their business by taking steps to respond and improve. Hopefully next time everything will be more on track.

Review on 2/17/2025 - I need a refund! Ordered 1lb Roast Pork. Worst Roast pork I’ve ever had. No crispy skin can be found! Just some fatty soggy pork pieces that looks like leftovers. Don’t buy!

They have a rewards system through Clover but none of the cashiers know how to use it so it's a waste of effort. Food is typical chinese bbq.

Recommended dishes: Roasted Duck

New shop, newly renovated building. Tried the soup noodles, and my parents bought roast duck here. The food quality is great, and the cashier said I could have free soup refills. I don't know if that will be a thing forever but it was very nice. The only complaint is the sliding doors let in lots of outside air and the rest of the area is still under construction. Definitely a spot to watch as it develops.
