Sure it’s called “Old Mediterranean Kitchen” now, but this place has been a staple for us for about a decade. Food 10/10, staff 12/10, ambience 10/10. Chicken shish-tawook and a Zahra is the same order we’ve had for years and never disappoints. They also do catered take out which is nice. That lemon rice is amazing with the grilled chicken.

Goodness, one of my favorite mediterranean restaurants in the Eastside, maybe all of the Seattle area. The entrees are so tender and flavorful, from the chicken tawook to the chicken or beef shawarma. We especially love the flavorful cabbage and onions that come with the shawarma dishes.

It’s a small but hard working operation, so you may wait a little but it’s worth it. Prices are reasonable for the large portions.

I dined in alone. I was trying to order an appetizer and a main. They advised that it will be a lot of food, so they suggest I could try the tasting portion of the appetizers for 3$ only.

The food was amazing and the portion was large just like he claimed. It's a huge plate of nicely seasoned meat and rice. I could barely finish it.

This is a restaurant that cares about customer experience and not just wanting to make money. Highly recommend

I love this restaurant. The food is delicious and fresh, our favorite is the shish tawook, the chicken makes my mouth water to think about. Feels like a family place, everyone I've talked to when eating in or for take out has been so friendly and helpful.

Can't say enough good things about this place! I've been coming here for a few years and it is consistently tasty. We've brought picky teenagers, gone here on romantic date nights, brought friends and we've all had a good time and an amazing meal. Don't hesitate to go here:)

Another special occasion is in the books, great food, comfortable quiet dining. Matthew was especially attentive to our guests. I have been coming here for years and it never disappoints!! Recommend this fine establishment to anyone! Ask for Clark if he's there!

The food is fresh and so tasty. The hummus is fantastic! The ambiance is enjoyable as it is a smaller restaurant with attentive service. Highly recommended for a dining experience.

Opentable Diner

First, I REALLY hate to give bad reviews to any business. I know there are hard working people there and customer service is a challenging business. However, I've been thinking about last nights dinner for about a day now. I felt compelled to write this review. We were greated nicely and were sat down. We were given water and handed our menus. The menus were a bit sticky and when I opened mine, it had a funk to it that even my wife smelled across the small table. Her's wasn't much better. I quickly looked through it and chose the Lamb Shawarma. My wife picked the "Lovers Sydon Prawns". I felt compelled to go to the restroom and wash my hands because I didn't want what was on the menu to be on my hands while I ate. While I was gone, he came back and my wife ordered and told our server about the smell. When I returned, she let me know that she told him about the menus, that he brushed it off and said it "was the plastic". WTF?! That immediatly turned me off. I started thinking, if they don't care about the BASIC hygene of the menus, what else is there. Regardless, the food arrived. Wife said her prawns were OK. You could tell they were a bit over cooked but it was palatable. We also orderd the Hummus (which was good), and the Tabouleh (meh). My Shawarma plate on the other hand... The rice was gross. Wet, over cooked and clumped together. The entire dish tasted like it was left too long on the griddle with all the spices just burning under it. There was a HUGE amount of overcooked onions and just a bit of green pepper. The lamb was hard to find. It was small pieces, also overcooked - tough. Plus the tahini sauce tasted BAD, very sour. My wife didn't beleive me that it was "that bad" so she tried it and spit it out into the napkin. We just stopped eating with over 80% still on the plates. The busser came by and we asked him for the check. The server took our money but didn't seem to care we hardly touched our plates. We paid and left. NEVER GOING BACK.
