Is this a dance club or a coffee shop. I’m glad it’s popular because I want them to be successful, but daaaaang it’s loud in here. Forget about getting work done unless you’re cool with getting rumbled by bass. #oldmanrant
Food and coffee are amazing. Staff is also friendly and do a wonderful job.

I’m seriously concerned about the food quality at this place. My husband got severe food poisoning after eating a curry chicken croissant. He was up all night, has a high fever, and we’re now heading to the hospital. Be very careful if you plan to eat here.

They have a lot of savory and sweet options. Portions of pastries are way too big, could easily have just half of what's offered. Not sure if the pastry recipes are all that natural and healthy since everything looks a bit too pretty. Featured is a maple cronut

We came here to pick up some pastries as a gift on our way to a friend's dinner. It was the right choice as their selection of sweet dessert options were phenomenal. We ended up getting some additional pastries for our breakfast the next time. The chocolate almond croissant and the large cookies are so easy to recommend. The only issue was our server. We had to repeat our order multiple times. That wasn't a huge issue. But after she took our payment she took 5 minutes chilling out, we could clearly see she was just chatting with other coworkers. I had to ask a few times for our order from her and another server before I saw her working on the order. I could see the other staff behind the counter were getting a bit frustrated by her too. About 9 minutes after we paid we saw her starting on our order, and we actually saw her take 6 minutes putting our order together. Overall it took 15 minutes to pack 4 total pastries into paper bags. There were very few customers behind us too and we could see Mercury was very well staffed (impressively so). We actually wondered if she was inebriated at work. We would come again as we probably won't run into that server but it was a funny experience looking back.

Excellent vibe but genuinely some of the most mediocre coffee ive ever had. Got their signature mocha and I literally couldn’t taste the coffee. It was rather straight sugar and even as someone who has a sweet tooth I thought it was WAY too sweet.
Nice large coffee shop with seating and plentiful delicious food and bakery options. Good tea lattes also. The downsides are that it is loud from the industrial equipment and the food prices are astronomical!

Second time I’ve purchased day old cinnamon rolls, called to tell them about it and all they said was could you bring the cinnamon rolls in, last time we go there!

I don’t know how far up your rear end your head has to be to think that good coffee should taste like the beans were left in a 5 alarm structure fire. The coffee here is so terrible. Try Ladro or any of the other fine Indy coffee places around here. Hell, I’ll take Starbucks over this swill.
And the food… who decided to put Beechers in everything? It’s like the people at Beechers asked, “can we make a cheese so pungent that it over powers the taste of everything?” Well, the answer is yes. Pair it with the maple mayo they put on everything and you have the perfect balance of “too rich” and “disgusting”.
Why do people go here?

$55 for lunch and coffee for two people before tip. The cashiers are rude, don’t greet customers when they walk in, and are very disorganized with taking orders for food and drinks. There was not a single table open for us to eat at, but there were 10 people with laptops camped out at the tables who weren’t eating and didn’t have drinks. We took our stuff to go. With some of the highest prices of all of the cafes in the area, I’d expect better service and to not be treated like I’m rude for patronizing their establishment. A table to sit at would be nice. The cashier didn’t say hi and was rude the last time I was there too so it wasn’t just this one time. As a former barista I know it’s hard, but come on. Do better.

The service here is good, but wow was I shocked when my $11 breakfast burrito was basically a tiny snack.

I literally don't know how this place has good reviews at all. Every latte I've ever had from here is nasty. They don't know how to steam milk. The cup is filled to the brim with no foam at all. But I guess that's par for the course for espresso on the eastside, focused way more on using tech to scale the revenue stream for its owners than on actually delivering a decent experience or product.
They also don't honor their stated prices, which last time I checked is illegal and a violation of the consumer protection act. According to their posted pricing, espresso shots are 85 cents. I was told when I tried to order 2 shots that the total came to over $5. When I complained that this isn't what the sign stated, was told that's just how it rings up in the system and there's no other way to do it. If someone can reprogram the tech to charge more, they can find a way to update the sign and let consumers know.
I won't go here anymore.
New people they hired have an attitude.. coffee is great 👍😃
