I was very impressed with Royal Kitchen's food and service! They serve dim sum all day, plus their regular menu. From the outside, it may not look like much, but inside looks very authentic. From the decor, the tables, and the live fish tanks, it was legit. I'd honestly give a 4.5 rating for this place. I knocked off half a star due to the fact that when I walked in, no one greeted you. I had to ask if I needed to sign in on the tablet for a table for 2.

First time eating here as Royal Kitchen. Change of ownership. We just ordered seafood crispy chow mein , and a dim sum dish...fried mashed taro ballThe size of the noodle dish was generous, probably at least 50% more than most restaurants. Seafood included shrimp, fish filet, and calamari with bok Choy. Sauce was not very flavorful and contained a lot of cornstarch which made it gooey. Probably will try something else next timeThe fried taro balls were tasty. I have had better, but a lot of dimsum restaurants don't offer this dish. We also ordered green tea. Overall experience was good. Wait staff were courteous and checked in several times. I will go back to try other dishes

All my Cantonese aunties love this place which means it's legit!! Food was amazing, service was friendly and attentive, and dishes are large sharing sizes.

Pretty much the same review as last time really quite impressed with the speed and quality of this place wok cooks and wait staff etc. Today is Mongolian beef, sticky rice, white rice, special request plum sauce and a Coca-Cola. The Mongolian beef is super juicy hot and tasty fantastic just like the previous visit. Lotus leaf Sticky rice is really delicious as well I'm certainly a happy camper and would certanly recomend based on these menu options.

This is one of my favorite places to go for dim sum in Bellevue. They usually have more selections during lunch vs dinner.

This is a good alternative for dim sum if you're on the east side. I been here twice now with different people and can honestly say it's legit.I mostly tried their dim sum but they also have other main entree (mostly seafood). There's not cart service so you have to use a checklist to mark what you want. Some dishes are a hit while others are a miss but it's not bad. Prices are also reasonable as well. We ordered around 20 dim sum dishes and the price came out to be $176 (included tips and taxes). They do get busy so they require everyone together be present before you can get Seated. We got there right at 10 and there was already a few group waiting to enter. They are pretty fast in bringing food out as well as clearing the plates and bringing water. The variety of dim sum is pretty good, they are just missing a few items such as those crispy shrimp balls, or the jelly fish dish, or congee or tofu dessert .

We drove down to try out some Dim Sum after seeing a review of the place. Our usual spot is in the city, but living out of the city, we don't typically like to drive down there. Dumplings were delicious, they were very full! We tried a few types and they were all great. A little disappointed on the salt and pepper squid, I def wasn't expecting it to be deep fried. And not sure where the salt and pepper was. Radish cakes were alright, it was missing something but I couldn't quite put my finger on it! The tea was delicious. You can't beat loose leaf jasmine! We also had the sesame balls which were great. It was packed for Sunday lunch. Don't expect a quiet environment. Everyone is lively and out with their families. Service was very prompt. Overall we would likely come back and try some new items.

Dim sums came out incredibly fast. They were just warm. They are probably precooked and stored in warming rack. However, the fried sticky rice 生炒糯米飯 is excellent. It is hot and tasty with much rice and meat. Highly recommended!

The dim sum is edible, much prefer going to Canada. I would come back cause dim sum in ID/Seattle isn't worth the drive haha. The dim sum here is ordered through a card ( no carts). Overall food came out fast. Service was decent, better than expected. Parking is fairly easy since it is Bellevue!

We came for dim sum and liked how quickly we were seated and approached for our orders. The food also arrived without much delay. The various dumplings had a bit more wrapper to meat content than we prefer, but were pretty good. The pork spareribs offered ample black bean and spice flavor and were tender. My wife was especially fond of the sponge cake as it had a very light texture, was not oily, and offered a subtle, delicate flavor.

They are really nice… the nicest service I ever had in Cantonese restaurants so far and I’m sure they do homemade style food but it just so that good… I just can’t… sorry

Looking for a new place to try we decided to give this place a try. we have eaten at its predecessors and wanted to see what the new place is like. we opted to order online for to go pick up. We placed an order online at 3:30 and selected a 4:15 pick up to avoid the dinner rush. We got there at 4:15 and proceeded to pick up the food and was told a few more minutes. it really turned out to be another 30-minutes! in the meanwhile I waited in the lobby and observed the host shouting into the kitchen constantly rather than walking and talking to the back of house staff. it was awkward for everyone in the lobby and dining room.Food:1) Peking pork chop - pretty good. 2) House special chow mein - average. mostly noodles and onions with minimal protein. not sure what makes this house "special". I've had better at Panda Express.3) Special chicken - it was pretty dried like it was zapped in the microwave too long.4) Roast pork with fish fillet clay pot - this was pretty good with the exception of the roast pork which was really all fat. the fish was good and so was the veggies.5) steamed bbq pork buns - decent.6) Shanghai pork dumplings - pass. it was doughy and dry.7) Steamed egg custard cream buns - this was pretty tasty.8) Pot stickers - average.Overall the place is decent and is above the Safeway hot food court or panda express. There has to be better places around town for decent authentic chinese food

As a last meal before my in laws were leaving back to Hong Kong, we decided to come here since my sister in law had a good experience last year. But from what I heard a waiter say during our visit to another review that I read, ownership seems to have changed. And there were times where we experienced that this may have been for the worst. As far as the food experience, we ordered several dishes and they came promptly, as well as steaming hot (which was a good thing!) such as the sweet and sour pork and the crab and fish maw soup. The seafood tofu (particularly the tofu) seemed to have a somewhat off taste than normal tofu. And as far as the service, I nor anyone in my party can no longer speak positively of this restaurant. Besides the all-black uniformed staff, the presumed owner (since he was only in a blue polo and jeans and cap with an apron) left such a sour taste in our mouths (more sour than the sweet and sour pork). It started when we ordered dessert. We ordered a mango and coconut/red bean dessert, but there's also a green bean dessert that was included. After the first two desserts came out, my father in law asked the presumed owner/manager simply if the green bean dessert was coming out too. The owner replied in Cantonese with much annoyance, "you already reminded me 3 times. I don't have enough hands to bring out all the desserts."Then after the desserts we're out, we noticed that we didn't have any dessert plates for our party of 10. When we asked for some, the owner came out with 5 PAPER plates. No big deal, it does the job but that's strange that they would give some cheap plates you'd use at a house party. When we finished dinner and dessert, we still had a couple bites of dessert left that we wanted to pack for someone who couldn't join us for dinner. The owner refused and said that they don't have any boxes small enough. Then went on to use the COVID pandemic as the reason why they can't either afford or order small take out boxes. So we innovated and had to use a used paper plate folded up to hold the last pieces. And the icing on the cake of our poor experience was after we paid and were leaving, a waiter came out to the big table right next to us with two small take out boxes. We couldn't help but laugh at the confusion and excuses that this owner needed to give to spite my family and I. Was he annoyed at a couple toddlers? Were we so demanding? We'll never know since he never said anything, just treated us "differently". Regardless, there is a fundamental problem with management here that has seemingly ruined this establishment. Perhaps get take out and don't get a chance to experience what we did.

Be aware if there is a wait the restaurant staff will give away your table if someone they know shows up later than you. They will speak in Cantonese assuming you don't understand them but for those who do will see what's actually going on. I wouldn't know about the food. After waiting in first position for the next available table for 20 minutes we then watched them give away our table when a family they knew came in the door. We heard one waitress say to the other that we were first but the other waitress overrode her. We left after that so don't recommend this place. This has also happened to friends of ours when it used to be called King's Seafood so new name but same terrible service.
