I ordered the medium sizzling dry hot pot (mala, with beef short rib, medium spicy). Medium spicy wasn't particularly spicy, but I don't think that's their fault -- I just wanted to err on the side of safety but probably could have been bolder :). The flavor was overall fine, the beef short ribs were a little on the tougher side. The word I'd use for it is "gummy". The other accoutrements in the hot pot itself were a little disappointing -- broccoli, cauliflower, celery (very raw, and chopped too coarsely to mingle in with the flavor), bean sprouts are okay... but potato fries? Does that seem like traditional Chinese to you? In fact, these potato fries look like they came straight out of Five Guys, and I wouldn't be surprised if the lunch fare for the crew was Five Guys and the extra fries were just thrown in... I understand that cost cutting has caused a lot of restaurants to require adding some bulk vegetables/carbs to keep the portions to a reasonable size. Might I suggest napa cabbage, or vermicelli, or tofu strips instead of potato fries?

overall good. It will be better to have its own website so it can provide lower price than UberEats..

I would give 0 star if there's choice. The direction is misleading at all. I called twice but no one could give me an exactly correct address. By the way, the restaurant suppose to be Hunan cuisine. However, they speak Cantonese. Fake!

The portion is HUGE! I've never tried their other dish except the sizzling dry hot pot. I personally love the mala spice they use. It's so flavorful and tasty I do think it is on the salty side just like what the other reviewers say but as long as you have rice to eat it with, it's not that bad. With the extra sides I added in the pot, it came down to about $80 with tax and tips. It can be pricey but the portion is huge and the leftovers lasted me several days. Very worth for what you get!

I'm no stranger to Sizzling Pot King, as I have also tried the other location in Seattle Chinatown district, and I have to say I personally prefer the location in Chinatown. We arrived on a Friday around dinner time (~7pm) and were seated promptly. Not surprising, there were not as many people dining at the restaurant and it looked like majority of orders were to go/online. We got the Pork belly in mustard greens, Fish in spicy bean curd sauce, stone plate tofu, and the medium veggie sizzling pot. All the dishes were served spicy so be sure to have tissues nearby if you aren't too good with spice. Flavor wise, they were all flavorful and there was a good quantity of food served, especially the fish and veggie dish (definitely enough food or 2 or 3 meals). So I also got the spicy tofu in the Chinatown location and this dish came out sizzling and wasn't as spicy as the same dish served at this location, and I liked the Chinatown's flavors, presentation, and spice level more (and always this is down to your personal preference). Cost-wise the meal was $32 shared amongst the 3 of us ($96 total), not the cheapest meal, but you definitely get quantity when you come to the pot king.

Ordered a dry noodle mixed with diced vegetables. The noodle was over cooked to a point that it was pasty (like glue) when you ate it. The chef need to watch the timing on the noodles. However, the lamb dry pot was prepared well and the flavor was good.Service at the restaurant was excellent and friendly. They were very helpful making recommendations. The QR menu were lacking lots of pictures that would help customers decide on their orders.

Totally scam, I order pickup from their website(not other food carriers) the total is different when I actually pick up the food, and I look it up every dish cost more on the bill. I end up pay $10 extra for 4 dishes. I understanding is pandemic and things are rough, but it is unacceptable to charge me different without let me know ahead of time. After I get home, I use Ubereat to place the exact same pickup order I got the same price as I place through their website. Not sure why it cost more if you decide to pay at pickup especially through own website.

We were not welcomed. We wanted Chinese food. The lady could not be bothered that we were there. Her facial expression told us to leave. So we did. We went to Thai kitchen. Indoor seating. And very warm and friendly.

ordered a delivery spicy dry pot with shrimp. shrimp tasted like frozen and thawed several times like stale, broccoli were not fresh and were cut terribly. cannot even find one single ingredients okay to eat. the whole pot is spicy but flavorless. wouldn’t pay $15 for these, but the order is almost $40. it’s just crazy. completely waste of money.

Y’all People originated from Hunan owe this restaurant a 5 star review! I am doing it! This is definitely the BEST Hunan style restaurant I ever had in US. Not one of the best, it is THE BEST. Sliced pork with chili pepper is a must have, cauliflower, tofu, sour sliced beef soup. If you cannot take spicy food, recommend to proceed with caution cuz most dishes are authentically spicy!

I order their food from them on 1/18/2021 and both my roommate and I got diarrhea on the next day. I heard they had issue with hygienic condition with they food. And now I lessen it.

Yesterday on thanksgiving morning I came by to pick up my order at this restaurant and I had a terrible rude and unfriendly customer service experience. I was looking for entrance and saw a lady in the store who pointed me to go to the right door. I noticed the door was locked so I could not get in and the lady approached me and I told my order; she replied in her language which off course I did not understand, but I assumed I needed to wait. So I waited and observed the restaurant because this was my first time of visit. Besides the door was locked with a screwdriver, also the window was covered with plastic and the front side of the door there were many trash of receipts and not clean. I realized I had waited for 15 minutes without any update what so ever which felt being neglected. I gazed through the window, the lady was seating on the floor preparing something. I knocked the window nicely to find out my order status as I noticed an order on a table. She came to window and shouted in her language. OK this was rude and unacceptable and she continued doing her work. Then a customer came by and waited in her car texting. I approached the window again and she staring at me madly, took the my order, opened the door slightly and threw it the table outside. I grabbed it right away. Before I left I shared my unpleasant experience with the other customer; she got off the car and started complaining about her order too. I did not what happened after that. I did not want to visit again. I truly believe a good customer service is a key of success. This is America where customer service is priority.
