I don’t know how the ratings is only 4.6. I’ve lived here for a year, and Aslan is my favorite go to place in B’ham. When friends are in town, this is where we go. I’ve loved everything I’ve eaten there and every beer I’ve tried. It’s pricey, but so is everything in B’ham. I’m never disappointed when I’ve been to Aslan, and I’m excited to bring my vegan friend.
We drive out of our way to have lunch or dinner here because the spicy tofu katsu & fries are unrivaled. Their house-made Caesar salad is vegetarian (no anchovy!) & has shaved Parmesan in it so I often get that as well. I've had the vegetarian banh mi also, which had a different appearance than I expected (not a baguette sandwich) but it was yummy too! Their Korean BBQ tofu appetizer was another family favorite but they didn't have it this time around. I wish...
Bustling brewery in downtown Bellingham. Bowls were highly recommended so we had the Pork Bahn Mi and Tofu and Chicken Curry Bowls with half n half. The bowls were tasty and full of veggies but I would have liked the curry to have a better kick to it. Beers are decent. Nice outdoor space on a sunny day!
