I order the grilled eggplant sandwich, which cost $20. The eggplant was undercooked, chewy and quite gross. For those prices, the college kids manning the counter should know the basics.
I continue to believe Avenue Bread is one of the best places for light breakfast in the region. I am particularly fond of the ambiance of the Fairhaven location. Get an eggenue and some coffee.
My partner and I were in the area for a car meet up and asked a local where we could get a good breakfast sandwich to go and they recommended Avenue Bread. They were so right! We each had the Country Eggnue on Rosemary and it was delicious! He had an Americano and I had a London Fog, both drinks were great.
I am looking forward to visiting Fairhaven again and we know where we will stop for breakfast for sure!
