Every part of coming to BSD (by the way, SUCH a cute name- ask about its roots when you go ♥️) is always such a fun and comforting experience. The “chalo” or cheese halo is incredible. The Gorgonzola is probably our favorite with the Send it coming in a close second. It’s permanently parked at Stemma, which is truly one of the best breweries around with lots of both indoor and outdoor seating and both dog and kid friendly. They’ve thought of everything at the stand- coloring books, toys and sandwiches for kids, dog treats, soup to dip your sandwich in, pickles ? you name it. The owners and staff are always having a great time listening to music and dressing up in different themes- you can tell they love people and that makes their sandwiches taste even better ?♥️ Great prices too, you can easily go as a group and spend tons less feeding a hungry crew. When I was in search of a crave-worthy grilled cheese, this place delivered! Their menu items of various grilled cheeses, both sweet and savory, were drool-worthy! I was so excited to see vegetarian and vegan options and alternatives offered so that myself and my group could all find something to our liking. The staff was charming and engaging, and put a smile on our faces despite any bad weather. But all weather is appropriate for a big grilled cheese and cup of soup! Their permanent food truck is adorably decorated and I can tell that the owners and staff care about their business and customers a lot. It is stationed at our favorite brewery too, and what a great combo to have Stemma's beer and some grilled cheese. Go get your grilled sandwiches here asap! I had been here the previous week, told my older kids about the food, and they said, "Let's do dinner there when we get to town." And they loved the food, very much comfort food. Like a let's sit by the fire and enjoy our soup and grilled sandwiches kind of food.I will come back here every time for their food... I didn't take pictures of the food this time. I just dove right in... so I'm going to add the one from the week before.The best part is that they are parked right next to a Brewery that serves excellent beverages.Kid-friendliness: They had toys for the kids to play with while the adults enjoyed their evening. Amazing! The people working here are so nice. The sandwiches - INCREDIBLE. I got the Burnt Side Down Signature sandwich. It's creamy and cheesy and bacon-y and just pure delicious. No one ingredient is overwhelming. The tomato soup is also yummy - and I'm not a big tomato soup person. We got the jalapeño appetizer sandwich to share. Also amazing! My son had the same and loved everything. We live in Seattle but our son is at Western. I think I might be having a lot of grilled cheese in my future!
I was so excited to try Burnt Side Down, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the signature sandwich, and it was huge with so much delicious cheese, the right amount of pesto, and just had that perfect crunch on the outside of the bread. I will definitely be back to try some more flavors. The staff were attentive and friendly. The coolest little location too at Stemma.

A tiny kitchen produces a lot of food. I was there Sunday afternoon looking for lunch the nice woman at the counter answered my question and took my order. She warned me that it would take some time to prepare my lunch as she handed me a device that would alarm me when my lunch was ready. I bought the Bham and the Gorgonzola along with a dessert. All three with tip was 33.15. The ambiance isn't much the Burnt side down is in a trailer at the Stemma brewery.

I was not a fan of grilled cheese but all that has changed since I experienced the ultimate grilled cheese at Burnt Side Down. I have been craving them ever since. I had the "Send It" and it was amazing. I made two meals of it. I topped it with lots of Jalapenos. I can hardly wait to return and try the Pizza grilled cheese sandwich. The very cute food truck was set inside Stemma Brewery's property. The setting was very festive as lots of people were socializing during the dinner hour. Definitely good vibes! Super friendly and helpful staff.
