Excellent lunch experience. We split several dishes and everything was pretty great. We particularly liked the chicken wings and the Cubano sandwich. The house-made vinegary hot sauce is really good. Service was excellent and friendly. Will definitely be back.

We’ve never had Puerto Rican food, so decided to try it for something different. We read on the reviews that you order at the counter, but in our case, we picked a table to sit at and our order was taken at the table (perhaps because it was at an off hour?)

We ordered the empanadas (2 chicken, 1 cheese), the pollo guisado, and a salad to split between the 2 of us. They kindly split the chicken and salad into two to make sharing easier.

Had such a wonderful late lunch at j’s kitchen! The service was quick and friendly and the carne frita was a delicious deal during happy hour! The dark and stormy was refreshing and delicious. I will definitely be returning to try more of the menu!
