Discovered Keenan's after our drive up Chukanut spit us out in the Fairhaven district. It's upscale casual with a beautiful water view. We ordered Oysters on the Half Shell, Fish n Chips, & Blackened Fish Tacos. The oysters were a combination of Kumamoto & Shingokus locally sourced from nearby Taylor Farms. The shells were clean, no sand/grit & they were expertly shucked, prepared & presented - the best oysters on the half shell I've experienced...
When the nicer restaurants in Bellingham with a beautiful view of the Bellingham Bay. Food is always great. The service is excellent and there’s lots of great options mostly seafood but a little twist on some things like the pork chop in the ham steak and a Keenan burger make it work little trip down to the water.
We were driving home from Canada looking for breakfast on water- it did not disappoint. We enjoyed the French toast (probably the best I ever had blueberry w lemon curd) and eggs bene. View was beautiful, server was kind. Quiet way to start the day at 8am.
