Great place for all ages. Has places to ride your bike, mini golf, music, and food.
Amazing place to hang out with the family. wonderful staff, lots of food choices.
You know, it’s 2025, and beer is expensive. When you walk up and kindly ask if you may taste something that cost more than a meal did 3 years ago BEFORE tip and the server just says “ if you want to taste it buy 16oz of it and get something else next time “ with a condescending look…well, there are much better bars out there. Also, it’s a dirt shithole with wood tables, so 🤷
Look. I've been going to Kulshan Brewing since I turned 21--FOURTEEN YEARS ago. I've been there through all stages of life: newly 21, figuring out if I even liked beer; trivia night with my college friends, home for the holidays; post-college life, going to get beers with my dad and realizing he was actually my best friend; living two blocks away and walking to the brewery multiple nights a week after work; moving away from Bellingham and making Kulshan a must-do stop anytime I came for a visit. I buy Kulshan beer whenever I see it in stores in my new city. I own pins and mugs and tee shirts. I've been drinking Kulshan beer since the time when there was just one location. I have been a loyal, enthusiastic Kulshan fan for a DECADE AND A HALF. But now, I'm in yet another phase of life: parenthood. What a gift it is to have breweries in this world. To have a place where adults can continue to gather in community after having children. Where families can exist in the world together. Or at least, that's how it should be, right? Especially in a place that advertises itself as family-friendly and positions itself as a pillar in the community. Today, I went to the original Kulshan location in Sunnyland, with my two year-old. It's my birthday weekend and I had just over 24 hours to spend in Bellingham. In those limited hours, Kulshan was once again on the must-do list. So I brought my son there, eager to feel that sense of community and home that I have loved for so many years. Unfortunately, that was not to be. I had one beer while my son ran around and let other patrons' dogs lick his face, and then was asked to leave by the bartender. I was not given a reason except that, "Other customers were complaining." I'm unsure what they were complaining about, since the only customers I talked to: a) complimented my son's tomato outfit, b) talked about how parenting is the best thing they've ever done, and c) brought their dogs up to my son because their dogs "love kids". Not a single person expressed discomfort or upset. My child didn't disturb anyone or break/damage any property. He exclaimed loudly, once, but the only comments afterwards from other patrons were jokes about how he should be cut off from drinks. Anyone who has had a toddler understands that it is a very busy and chaotic time of life. Wouldn't it be nice if people offered some grace and humor and support and understanding, instead of behaving in such a way that further isolates people who have taken on the already-impossibly-difficult task of growing the next generation of decent human beings? Instead of experiencing that support today--after YEARS of supporting Kulshan as a business, from both near and far away--my family was rejected. Needless to say, I am angry. I am so disappointed in my experience today and I wish that weren't the case. I have loved Kulshan for many years. But not today.
Such a cool place with food trucks and activity space for the kids.
This is exactly the addition that Bellingham needed! An amazing waterfront area for people to hang out and meet near down town with great beer and places for kids to play. I really hope this never gets taken down and becomes a permanent fixture of Bellingham.
The beer was extremely fresh and crisp. It was exactly what a great hazy ipa needs to be. Of the dozens of breweries we have been to this is definitly one of my Favorite now.
Not only does it have the perfect atmosphere, but the staff is super friendly and the beers are phenomenal. It also looks like you could have small concerts here which is a great touch.
The only thing that might be bad is that since it is all outdoor seating, it may be a bit cold in the rainy season but that’s what you would expect so dress accordingly.
Overall I couldn’t recommend this place more.
Kushan Trackside is a great spot to meet up, with different food options nearby and lots of fun activities like a pump track and mini golf. There’s usually something happening, so be sure to check the events before you go.
Our first stop on Tuesday 24 September. Lots of free street parking. Wow....so much space!! Cara was our beertender. My mom asked about a few light beers and if she could just taste hem? Cara obliged nothing that if it was busier she wouldn't be able to get a sample. A little odd... but it wasn't an issue. We were the only ones there on a sunny and breezy morning. When we went to leave I assumed we'd run in to a biffy....nope they have actual bathrooms. Thanks! It's truly a great space.... so much space and shipping containers w murals on them. The Austin folk had told us they sell ice cream out of one of he shipping containers. There was also some food offererings. Definitely stop by if you get a chance. You can't miss it w all the mural covered shipping containers and the massive rusty old Digester tanks.

Excellent little beer garden next to a pump track with food trucks featuring pizza, hotdogs, curry fusion, fish and chips, and more. There's a wine bar with a terrace as well. There a nice green space for kids to play.

Great outdoor spot, perfect for a casual night or a large group gathering. Lots of great drink and food options.
Love this beer garden! So many choices of drinks and food trucks. Really encompasses the spirit of Bellingham in one place ?
I just had the most incredible experience at Kulshan Brewing Co!
I discovered a true, authentic Kolsh, which is almost impossible to find in North America.
The beer was absolutely fantastic, and the space and environment were amazing. The staff were also awesome!
This place is truly a hidden gem that you need to check out!
Always grateful to catch a sunset beverage here!
First time visiting Bellingham's waterfront it's good to see that it's getting rejuvenated.
