On Rice Thai Cuisine & Spirit

Warning: even though their menu says most things can be made vegan right under the “veggie menu” most of their stuff has shrimp including the “I love veggies” dish. Which not only is misleading if you’re vegan or vegetarian but god forbid you have a shrimp allergy.

Edit: in response to the response - hopefully you can make your menu a little clearer, if you put under your veggies option it can be made vegan then people trust you. You should also clearly label allergens, especially if they’re labeled elsewhere. Make your menu consistent.

To add to initial review - it looks like there is one item that can be made vegan. They’ll charge you an additional dollar to remove the fish sauce though. I don’t think we will return to this location. We are fortunate to have other Thai options in town at least.

We did takeout, good food. Interior of restaurant was appealing. Our meal was ready for pickup when we arrived.

Delicious everytime. Always happy with the food and the service.

MANAGER ATE FOOD I SPIT OUT🤮 I ORDED PAD THAI WITHOUT PEANUTS, I SPIT THEM OUT ON PLATE TOOK BACK..HE CLAIMED IT WAS GARLIC THEN ATE THE PORTION I SPIT OUT AND AGREED IT WAS PEANUT..I GOT MY MONEY BACK AND NEVER WENT BACK 🤢

We got take away and arrive was great! They kindly traded peanut sauce for my rice, which saved the meal. Sadly, the flavor of the Pad Thai was underwhelming AND (by the time my husband came home with it) it was…dry???…which I feel like is hard to do when it’s been steaming in a take away container. The yellow curry was average, though seemed spicer than a 2.

Would go back as it’s a good price and location for us, but would ask for extra Pad Thai sauce!

Ordered the seafood pad thai. The pad thai itself was delicious, but the seafood tasted like it was added as an afterthought (instead of actually being integrated/cooked into the food) and it just didn't taste very good with the noodles. Not worth the extra $4 I spent on adding the seafood, disappointing. Good servers, nice atmosphere. I could get much better seafood pad thai somewhere else, though.

It’s disappointing that I’m leaving a negative review because I’ve had some great experiences here. Unfortunately the last take out experience was not good. The chicken in my Pad Thai was obviously undercooked. Some were okay but some were rubbery and translucent. I ended up tossing the whole meal.

I’ve tried to contact the restaurant two times to request a refund to only be ignored both times via email.

I’m not sure why undercooked chicken is not a big problem for them but makes you wonder what other health/ safety issues they are hiding.

I LOVE Thai food. And I eat it often. I’ve always thought On Rice was 3 stars average. The food has always been adequate. But the last time I ordered it was beyond average. It was super bland all the way around. No rich flavors, and our “3” star spice was more like 1.

This place really only gets 3 stars because the food quality changes so much. Iv been going here for years as it's the closest spot to me and you just never know what you are going to get it seems. Like sometimes it's fantastic and sometimes it's just like what happened today what is this. Flaver texture everything will be off. I don't know what is happening but it is strange.

Today my order of sober noodles was almost not worth eating and normally it's one of my favorites.

They so anyways have fast times for ordering to pick up though.

Mostly our go to for take out Thai. They are super fast and have good quality and consistency. The staff has always been friendly, organized, and respectful. Fair pricing as well!

Something has drastically changed at this location. My husband I have been consistently eating here for so many years and the last two times lately the food is not good. We also order the same dishes Pad Thai chicken, drunken noodle and I am sweet and sour and they absolutely do not taste anything like they used to. Pad thai sauce was too sweet and very different and noodles were not cooked all the way. My I am sweet and sour was not good. Chicken texture was off, and didn't seem cooked all the way. My daughter said her vegetarian dish did not taste at all like it used to. So we were extremely disappointed. Not sure if maybe they changed cooks but it's definitely not the same. Sad because this was our favorite place and we always looked forward to eating here

My lady and I stopped by to get a good bite to eat and were pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere and presentation of both the staff and the delicious food. Hands down the best pad Thai I’ve ever had and the coconut shrimp was to die for. A big plus and surprise was the carrot creature we had on our appetizer plate. 🦋🍤

Update! We went back almost a year later and the food was just as delicious as before! This time we had the crab fried rice and that is a new all time favorite of mine. Unfortunately no creatures on our plates but we didn’t order an appetizer this time.

My fiancée and I went there and got orange chicken and pot stickers and the chicken was still pink in the middle and was really not that good and there cooks should get there food permit taken from them and that store should not be opened at all and they we so rude as workers and then I asked to talk to a supervisor and they told me no
