This place is pretty good. These employees are the goats š of western and make my day every time I go in for a meal. The taco bar is fire, the chicken wings are fire, and the soups are underrated. Not bad for eating this every day. Healthy options available but not too much. The best part is the ice cream flavors that change daily (lavender, matcha, pumpkin spice, coffee, caramel, etc.) Way better than the VU and Fairhaven imo

The open hours often do not reflect that this facility is many students only source of food. Especially on the weekends, its opens way too late and closes way too early, meaning that if their open hours donāt fit perfectly into your schedule, you can end up only having time for one meal a day. The food their is generally mediocre, but a lot of the less appetizing food will be served more frequently because it is cheaper, namely the grilled cheese, which appears to not actually be a grilled cheese, but instead two pieces of toast lathered with watered down cheese sauce (instead of melted cheese) with a thick slice of tomato stuck in to hide the mealās simplicity. In the past there has also been problems with sections of the building being cut off far before they are supposed to be and new food not being made a significant amount of time before closing, which came off as an attempt to discourage students to minimize eating at the dining hall during those times. It has become a less prevalent issue recently, but it was still a major problem for a lot of this year. It also seems like a lot of the workers in the dining hall are exhausted or miserable, so i think they are working their hardest to make up for what the facility its self lacks, which is clearly something above their pay grade. Considering that this is most dorm studentās ONLY source of food, it does not seem adequate for those standards and should undergo a general makeover for its services.

Started out really good in the beginning of the quarter, then near the end of the 2nd quarter they just served grilled cheese sandwiches for 2 weeks in a row for lunch time which pissed me off because it was so nasty and it wasnt ever even paired with tomato soup or anything. STOP MAKING GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES.
my experience at ridge is mediocre at best. iām never a fan of the food they serve, itās severely under seasoned and you can tell there is 0 care put into the making of it. service is limited but everyone is nice at least. i will say the atmosphere is pleasant, especially when itās quiet.
