Yum! They have the most amazing desserts. They don’t waste so they make something called Lil Scrappies (leftover cake, frosting, etc) which I love and they’re all tasty. The space is really cute and inviting.

I am a big lover of all things food. One of my favorite things about existing in the time & place that I do - is learning about, traveling for, and experiencing new food. Suffice to say, I’ve eaten a lot of phenomenal dishes in my life. Every once in a while, I try something that stands out above the rest. The kind of food that you will probably never forget the first time you ever tried it Their naked pecan cake was one of those things. I typically don’t have a huge sweet tooth, but I think I would sell my kidney for this cake. The first time I had it was November 2023, when my mom brought one to our Thanksgiving dinner. Dessert table was packed and somehow this cake went relatively untouched, that is until I got a hold of a slice. I think I took 85% of that cake home. And I don’t think I I’ve stopped thinking about it since then. Long story sort of short, I consumed a little too much legal herb last Friday and happened upon a post from this bakery on Facebook. In my altered state, I pre-ordered a cake on a whim. And that’s how I ended up driving five hours from Olympia to Bellingham and back just for this cake. I would do it again. If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and get a slice. But I’m warning you if you live far away, you might find yourself driving the distance to take one home again LOL

This place is great!! Ordered Christmas cookie delivery, they went out of their way to ensure everthing went smoothly. Everyone loved the cookies!!

I went to try this bakery a few days ago and it excellent!! The Lil Scraps (hopefully I have that right) it's like a personal slice of cake deconstructed and it was so moist and delicious. I will definitely be back and the people were lovely.

What a great discovery. We found Saltadena on a downtown Bellingham First Friday and tried out their signature “Salty Deena” Lil’ Scrappies. What a treat. I’ll have to return for an entire cake sometime and try some of the other amazing creations in their case. Yum!

Asked for guidance because everything looked so good. We had a salt and pepper cake after asking for a less sweet option. This was great. Also had a lime "scrappy" which was a nice way to use cake scraps. Closes at 8p so it was open after dinner dessert. Cute shop but we took our snacks to go since they were closing soon. The drink menu looked good but we did not try anything.

I thoroughly enjoy Saltadena as an amazing option for a variety of delicious baked goods. I think the true winning review lies in the fact that my spouse “doesn’t love sweets” and yet he very frequently dislikes sharing anything Saltadena. The lil’ scrappies are our favorite!! I also recently had the opportunity to work with Nancy on a custom cake for our vow renewal. She was easy to communicate with while working through the process. The final product was a beautiful reimagination of our original wedding cake flavor profile with the perfect Saltadena touch!
Nancy is the dessert queen of Bellingham! I have to have a Lil' Scrappy at least once a week, and the coconut cardamom latte is my favorite coffee treat in town. Also a great place to get an order in for a special occasion - super creative and unusual cake flavors, always delicious, perfectly baked, and beautifully decorated. You cannot go wrong here!

I haven't made my way to Bellingham in awhile, but I've had this spot bookmarked for awhile. I finally got to try it when they did a pop-up in Seattle this weekend. They had a couple of cream puffs and lots of varieties of the Scrappys. The Scrappys are essentially bowls of leftover cake bits with frosting, whipped cream, and/or pudding depending on which type you got. I got a cookies and cream cream puff and 2 Scrappys: a passionfruit one and a london fog one. Both of the ones I got were "trifle style", so pudding with whipped cream. I didn't taste the other styles, but I have got to say that I am inspired. I think I prefer these to a regular slice of cake now. I love the mix of textures and flavors. The passionfruit pudding had a lovely tart passionfruit flavor that balanced the sour, distinct flavor of passionfruit with a nice light sweetness. The london fog managed to have a strong yet delicate earl grey flavor that was really pretty. While the stars of the show were the Scrappies in my eyes, I loved the cream puff. It was so well executed and that cookies and cream filling was perfect to me. Even if they just sold cream puffs, I would have been more than pleased. I hope they do more pop-ups in Seattle! I will order WAY more next time. :)

Omg I have never experienced a Praline before, and this was just the best thing I have ever experienced in my mouth! Absolutely amazing and excellent The perfect portion size and sweetness.
