While waiting for friends to arrive via the train I visited for my first time. Wow! Incredibly good gelato. I had the three scoop medium: hazelnut, sea salt Carmel and Dutch chocolate. I was most impressed with the hazelnut and the others were very very good as well. I wanted the 3 flavors and the scoop sizes are generous. A medium is very much shareable. Despite a line out the door service was friendly polite and quick. Visited 8/16 evening.
We found this place while on vacation in Bellingham and the gelato was SO GOOD. I love that gelato-making was in the family for the owners and they care about using local, hormone-free milk and good ingredients. It shows. I had the Dutch chocolate and Straciatella. Perfection—I wish I lived closer, I would be here all the time!
The gelato is industrially made somewhere. Kids love it anyway
But at least they have the only awful coffee in Washington. A shop that has the word espresso on the door ought to have someone who knows what it is. Anyway, to say it again, the school kids lined up to eat the gelato aren’t complaining.
