Yes! I try a lot of ice cream shops, and it's rare that they will scoop SMALL enough (don't worry they have big ones too). I love ice cream but I usually just want a small portion. They have great homemade waffles cones. Wonderful unique flavors as well. I had the lemon poppyseed and the peanut butter cookies and cream and both were great.
The ice cream is good but we've taken the trek down here 2 times (following the hours on the website NOT google) and they were closed. Simple fix you guys, who isn't open at 7:30 pm on a saturday, lol? We followed the WEBSITE because google is usually wrong, but apparently both were wrong.
I love this place, great flavors, staff is always pleasant and very helpful. The atmosphere is always great, never disappoints. I'm going to miss you guys over the fall/winter break, and the lemon poppyseed icecream!
Dietary restrictions: My daughter has a throat closing gluten allergy, they were very careful to not cross contaminate and very understanding to check all ingredients.
Kid-friendliness: When is icecream not kid-friendly lol
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a path recently created right next to their location. Register and counter are low.

as someone who is lactose intolerant finding dairy-free ice cream that tastes good is hard, but when I went here I had the lemon poppyseed and it was the best ice cream I've ever had in my life

No better way to enjoy a summer day in Bellingham than with a scoop or two of ice cream at the Portal Container Village. I had a split single with Peanut Butter Cookies and Cream + Chocolate.

Super disappointing experience. I drove quite a ways here and was excited to get ice cream. But the only vegan option was lemon sorbet. It tasted like syrupy ice crystals. They scoop ice cream faster than you can pay, so there was a whole group of people all crowding me as I was trying to get in my wallet. Won't be coming here again.
Very nice people and amazing ice cream!!! Absolute favorite place to go during the summer☺️

Great place for a cold treat! I love that this place is in the container village. Service is always friendly. Their vegan chocolate and vegan mango lime sorbet (pictured) are very good! The waffle cones are also vegan. It would be nice to see more vegan options added in the future but I am so grateful for the ones they do have and will continue to swing by whenever I'm nearby.
Pretty good.Better places though for ice cream in the Bellingham area.
Best ice-cream spot in town! Hands Down. They are ONLY open during the summer though (which is a bummer). You get Alot for what you pay for though and their flavors are so good. I highly recommend their Lemon Poppy Seed & Butter Pecan.Mazie & Katelyn are always rad! Give em a raise!Staff & Ice-Cream 10/10

Delicious , but Over $4 for half a scoop of ice cream. Server made kids scoop too small. I had been there before and got 2x size for the same item.Do not recommend for families on budgets.
Moved to Bellingham almost a year ago and was looking for a great ice cream spot. Google showed The Selkie Scoop and we decided to give it a try. They did not disappoint. The ice cream and cones were delicious and prices were amazingly fair. We will definitely be making this our new spot for ice cream!
Best ice cream I've ever had!! Dense and icy?My favorite!
The waffles cones are something special! Highly recommend the orange creamsicle flavor. They’ve got the classic as well as some lovely unique flavors. Pricey but delicious!
The ice cream was amazing and the Watermelon Lime Sorbet was sublime! What a way to welcome summer back!
