Pretty darn great for a dive bar. Service is excellent and the food is, too — though if you're vegan you'll be pretty well relegated to french fries. The bar is lively at night, quiet and mellow at lunchtime. It's a good place to go when you want to fade back and not run into people you know — unless the people you know frequent the Waterfront.
Authentic tavern with tavern atmosphere. I specify this because some customers may not know what a true tavern experience is. I personally like the laid back vibe of taverns. That said, we had a great experience here! The view was awesome, the waitress was down to earth and efficient and the place was clean! The fish n chips were really nicely done. I think the fish needed a bit more seasoning but I ate it all! The fries were hot and delicious! The tarter was super good! Different...
My husband and I were in town visiting from out of state. He wanted to.get some fish and chips to go because it was here that he first fell in love with fish and chips 15 years ago. Unfortunately he couldn't make it through 1 piece. It was dry and bland. So disappointing. He ended up having to throw the rest away. We hope we just caught the cook on a bad day and next time they are better.
