I cannot believe the reviews for this restaurant are as high as they are. Our bill not including tip was a little over 120 dollars, needless to say I wouldn’t spend 20 dollars for the food that we got. Each of us had ordered some form of steak, both were under seasoned and nothing special. We’ve cooked better steaks that were on special at the grocery store at home. Mashed potatoes were nearly inedible, tasted like they had sat in a pot for hours, and we were extremely disappointed when the meals were served with what we are sure were previously frozen and bagged mixed vegetables. Seriously, if you’re going to pride yourself on having the best cuts of meat from Nebraska, it’s a good practice to not serve it with frozen vegetables that are watery and mushy. Our server was great, and probably the best part of our experience besides the appetizer bread basket we had which was also likely store bought. The nearly ten dollar salads we had were the worst caesar salads we had ever eaten. The ones that come in bags at the supermarket are ten times better. The restaurant is loud, and very tacky. It’s hard to even see the theme in the decor. The server stations are also placed directly in the middle of the restaurant (though maybe not much they can do about that) and we often saw servers act unprofessionally in front of guests. Because I couldn’t stomach my food we took it in a box, which was cheap styrofoam, and fed the steak to our dog immediately after we got home. I will never not be annoyed that we spent over 140 dollars for one of the worst meals we’ve ever had, at such a highly rated restaurant. We will not be back.

Our server was great, a real joy. We had an uninspiring view of the enormous, brilliant Chevron sign through dinner. NY Steak was fine but would not blow anyone’s mind; I’ll bet you’ve had better a thousand times. Everything else was below expectations. You can easily do more exciting, better-executed versions of all of it at home. Veggies and mashed potatoes are an afterthought and the asparagus served was way too mature and fibrous. Styrofoam take out containers.

Excellent date night. We drove 77 miles on a whim and they didn't let us down. The steak was high quality and the mashed potatoes were amazing. Our sever was top notch. I love this place!

We had dinner here for our 40th.I’ll give you my take but that doesn’t mean it’s the same for everyone.First, they missed a huge opportunity in that we came there for our 40th and not one person, reservationist, host or waitress asked if it was a special occasion. We drove more than an hour to get there from a referral of a friend.Steaks were perfectly cooked. Perfect.Steaks were between good and great-8/10.Potatoes were excellent-9/10.Cream spinach was also excellent-9/10.My wine was good, 7/10.My wife’s drink was better, 8/10.Atmosphere was kind of a let down. The bar area was playing Rudolph, strange I guess but maybe someone in there wanted to watch it??? The overall feel is kind of blah for what it’s trying to be.The waitress was great. German accent and very personable. Attentive and precise.We didn’t have dessert.I’d say the overall rating would be 4.6 for me. If they had asked about a special occasion it could have been higher.You’re not paying for 5.0 here so I wasn’t expecting it to be an excellent experience and it was as expected I guess.
